Nice store. These kinds of small "authentic" markets usually come with a certain... smell and vibe. You know the type. This one is nothing like it. Bright, clean, organized - not what I was prepared for when I walked in. It leans Middle Eastern and Russian foods, and there's a solid variety of stuff you don't normally see at the bigger chains. Actually feels like a place you can take your time and look around without wanting to rush out. Fruits and vegetables have very competitive pricing compared to places like Trader Joe's and Whole Foods Market, which is rare. Usually you get either "interesting selection" or "good prices," not both. Jordan's on my regular rotation grocery run rotation now. If you're nearby and want European or Middle Eastern groceries without dealing with a run-down spots that smell like rotten meat - give it a try. read more

I usually make a stop here on my way home if I need to pick up a few items quickly. It's kind of Hit or Miss at this store. Some days I have more luck than others and got some very fresh fruits and veggies for a really good price. But not always the case though. A few weeks ago, I stopped by and got some very good avocados and persimmons at a lower price. Came back the following week, the avocados were all black and the persimmons were not sweet at all when I got home. But I understand. It's tough to own a small supermarket like that. So much competition in that business and new grocery stores are sprouting everywhere. It's used to be very good years ago and everything was much cheaper. There's a lady cashier (very short hair) that's been there forever. She's always so nice. I always go to her register if I see her. I was so disappointed after purchasing the ground beef. When I removed it from the bag I noticed that the outer portion was red and the inner portion was old and brown as if they concealed old meat wrapped in fresher looking ground beef or used a food dye!!!! Such a dirty trick. And upon examination I realized the fat content was much higher than what I paid for . I always pay more for lower fat content . The fat content looked to me to be approximately 20-30% of the ground beef. I will not be purchasing my meat from there again. read more

I had a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience at Jordan Market. I have been a longtime customer and have been coming here for years, even with other Persian markets nearby like Super Irvine and Wholesome Choice. After this experience, I do not plan to come back. A manager named Arian approached me with a rude and aggressive attitude and warned me about not taking video inside the store. This was the first time I had ever heard of this rule. I was not recording employees, customers, or any private conversation -- I was simply taking a quick video/photo of items to send to my family so they could tell me what they wanted. Instead of explaining the store policy politely, he spoke with attitude, rolled his eyes, and made me feel extremely unwelcome. What made it even more uncomfortable was that he appeared to look over/check my phone screen to see whether I was recording, which felt invasive and disrespectful. No customer should feel like their personal phone is being watched or inspected while shopping. A manager should be professional, respectful, and welcoming -- especially toward longtime customers. People come to Persian markets for good products and a comfortable shopping experience, not to deal with rude behavior from management. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had at a Persian market. Very disappointing, very unwelcoming, and completely unacceptable. read more

There is SO much to love about this market! The quality of the produce and meat is always dependable, and the prices are terrific! Last week, I was able to stock up on yellow onions for 19 cents a pound!!! I bought 2 large bags for less than $1.25, we cut them all up, sautéed them, then packed them in serving sized bags and froze them. This week, their boneless, skinless chicken tenders were on sale for $1.99 per pound, so I stocked up again. My perennial favorite is their pre-breaded chicken breast. It's consistently delicious, and it saves me the trouble, cost, and mess of having to bread it myself. This little gem is worth finding! read more

They just expanded and it looks so great! Bigger aisles, better meat selection, better produce displays. I'm here at least 2x / week as it's next to my house. I purchase all my produce and deli meat here. It's at least 1/2 the price of the supermarket but comparable quality- it just can't sit as long in the fridge as the supermarket produce. Great Boars Head meat selection too. Awesome hummus and many different kinds of pita bread. I love to get their kebab beef to make at home with a full spread of veggies, hummus, tzatziki, etc read more

This is the second time I've found mold in food- first walnuts and now Bulgarian feta cheese!!!! This is unacceptable, especially since I mentioned to the owner the first time I found them on walnuts! Not sure how they get inspected or when but this is a real issue!!!! read more

This location has a good selection of products. It's very clean and organized. My issue was with customer service. They have a weekly ad price on eggplants and they don't honor what's in the weekly ad. There is a gentleman who might be the manager there who is very rude. He would not honor the price of eggplants on his website and when I asked him about a different product I was looking for, he was annoyed and rude with me. We decided not to buy anything there , they have lost customers. I'm Jordanian. I was excited to go here. Going into a Jordanian market and not finding anyone Jordanian was interesting and disappointing. Please do better with your customer service. read more

I frequent this store quite often. Today I went to buy chicken breast. They were on sale, so I asked for 1 breast and then asked if they would cut it half. I was told I had to pay full price if I wanted them to cut it straight down the middle. I try to support the small businesses, in this case I will not be back. Be careful of over charging in this place I got a bag of sour plums $2.99 per pound and some more item;I came home and saw that they charged me $25.69 for the bag of sour plum. Stay away of the store if you don't want to get food poisoning. Quality of their preserved fish and marinated meat is terrible. Two times I bought expired fish , I brought it back to the store and asked them to pay attention to the quality of their products, they responded that they going to fix it . Ok , matter of the past . This week I bought marinated meat for barbecue. We had a family dinner and all four members got food poisoning with all consequences... That's enough. Whey are overpriced and lack of quality control.
