I really wanted to get some of the fresh root and tubes That I saw on a cooking show. They pretty much had everything I was looking for one of them was a bamboo shoot and they had it... I found what I was looking for and then some. Their seafood department is wild... so many options They had tons of lunar new year cookies, cakes, and candies in brightly colored beautiful boxes. I was also looking for smoked black sesame seeds, and they had an array of different types I love this market. Very large parking lot, however on the weekends, it gets very crowded. One of my favorite directions to walk into is the bakery selection, they have so many delicious, flavorful, baked items, cakes, cookies, muffins, pastries, seasonal, and holiday delicacies.

I came back here today and it's been so long since the last time. It was super crowded to check out so I did self check out and now I have to register so I can get discounts. They have a fantastic produce department, I am very impressed with their grapes

I've been to several locations, but this is the first time I've been to a brand new one. It was so clean and better laid out than the others I've been to. I love that they have a separate bakery and cafe as well as a Chinese takeout spot. The bakery/cafe had some kinks to work out as I noticed several unhappy customers. However, the Chinese takeout spot seemed to be better run and the ladies so helpful. The food was hot, fresh and tasty.

A need and a great addition to this newly revamped shopping plaza. This area needed an asian market for so long and I am so glad to have this now. I went during soft opening and many other times after and 99 Ranch is your one stop shop for most of your asian food & things. I love that they have a food to go section which is so affordable (~ $4.99 +) per order of cooked food, they also have prepackaged hot food (shumai, hargow, bbq pork, etc). The grocery is stocked with all your necessities, snacks, dry goods, and the butcher/fresh seafood section in the back. This location also has a bakery with tons of sweet and savory food, drinks, and nicely decorated cakes. Helpful staff. Great food. Well stocked grocery store.

    Clean and organized.

Finally, a 99 Ranch Market in Aliso Viejo! This addition to the neighborhood has been a long time coming, and it does not disappoint. The store feels noticeably larger and brighter than other locations I've visited, and since it's still fairly new, everything looks pristine and well organized. THE STORE. Aisles are stocked with an impressive range of Asian pantry staples, sauces, and snacks. From ramen to rice crackers, it's easy to spend more time browsing than planned. Along the perimeter, you'll find the fresh produce, meat, and seafood sections, plus a few in-store eateries; Bakery & Café for fresh bread and pastries, and Asian Gourmet Kitchen for quick bites. THE EXPERIENCE. I appreciated the freshness of the seafood selection--staff will clean and even fry your fish at no extra charge, which is a nice touch. The meat section looked good as well, though it's worth noting that they currently don't offer custom cuts. THE PARKING. Free surface lot parking is available right out front, though it tends to fill up quickly during peak hours, especially on weekends. THE VERDICT. Overall, this 99 Ranch Market is a welcome upgrade for South OC shoppers looking for authentic Asian ingredients in a clean, modern setting.

It is great to have a 99 Ranch open near home and that I don't have to trek out to Irvine to get my Asian groceries. I am able to stop by on my way home from work. The selection of fresh Asian produce and seasoning. The meat and seafood section has meats butchered for Asian cooking. Not to mention all the Asian snacks. The food court serves prepped dood like roast duck, dim sum, and chicken. If you stop by later during the day they have some promotional pricing to sell out the inventory. This market is clean and bright. Maybe because it is still relatively new. The staff at checkout are friendly and efficient.

Staff: The man at the bakery cafe that I bought watermelon juice from was nice, but the woman who helped us at the end at the same place was okay. Unfortunately, another woman employee walked rudely in my direction cutting me off without a word. However, the guys at the Otoyubo were really nice. So, overall it was hit or miss. Quality/Quantity: The store is large, well stocked, clean, and offers a ton of variety. I was quite impressed by the store. Value: I found the pricing to be fine. My watermelon juice was $3.99 which is okay I guess. Our inari at Otoyubo were priced well too. We opted for the bulgogi and eel filled. Both were delicious. Overall: Very happy to finally come in and have this store in south OC. I'll be back for sure.

Another decent experience at 99 Ranch. I arrived at about 10 AM on a Sunday with mild weather. The parking lot was less than half full. I entered the store which was well organized and clean. It smelled fresh. I really only visited the fruit and vegetable section along with some of the prepared foods and sauce aisles. And then I picked up a Chinese doughnut in the fresh prepared food items in the forward corner by the barbecue station. I did self check out so I didn't really encounter any personnel, but I did speak with one of the produce guys who was double checking the produce freshness. Always a fun experience to come through here. Some items are a better price than traditional grocery stores.

This is a nice neighborhood 99Ranch that opened up a few months ago. Personally, it's my favorite location in the area. I appreciate the spacious and clean layout, well stocked shelves and reasonable prices. I used to have to drive to Irvine just to get some basic Asian groceries. And I had to go to 3 different stores just to get everything I needed. Well for once I don't have to drive much and get everything all in one go. What the heck! Truly my dream come true. Additionally, I love going to the hot food section and pick up a box of juicy char sieu. They make for a really scrumptious fried rice with shrimp. Omg. Some of my biggest guilty pleasure ever. Parking here is plenty, free, and right outside the store. You can use Amex and the service here is extremely fast and efficient. I also appreciate how friendly they are. It's something I appreciate very much after dealing with so many brash and unhelpful customer service elsewhere. Looking right at ya, MV Amazon Fresh.

Love the new ranch 99 in my local area. Their aisles are wide, have plenty of Asian delights to choose from. Always clean. The have a meat section with plenty of carved meats for Korean bbq or Shabu Shabu. Seafood looks great too. Dungeons Crab is currently on sale. Staff is super friendly and line went pretty fast.

We've waited for so long for South County to have an Asian grocery store! I love how clean and spacious this 99 Ranch Market is and it's now so convenient for us to come here to get Asian ingredients we can't get at regular grocery stores.

    Slavery options are good too.

I had to leave another positive review for the bakery as it's somewhere I go regularly now as their prices are hard to beat. The ingredients are fresh and made fresh every day. Tastes amazing. Get the cream based ones or the savory ones. My favorite is the custard and blueberry one. Had their bacon and egg croissant and it was so good. They have been sampling some new ones like their cream sesame and it was so good.

Look at that produce dept! Love it!

It's a great place to go for fruit! They have a big selection of beautiful fruits and veggies. The service is pretty fast. They usually have self serve open too. The place is clean and tidy. I like this place a lot! Highly recommend!

While shopping a female worker with pink glasses quite literally stared and followed us, in a really unsubtle way, the entire time. SO much so that my mom eventually asked if she needed something! Mind you, this store is SMALL. At one point my sister and I were standing over by the seafood discussing what we should get. She left the register and came and stood right in front of us a few feet away. While my sister was making her selection I just stood there and made direct eye contact with her to make her just as uncomfortable as she was making me. She eventually turned and walked away. Honestly it was WEIRD. So weird a part of me wanted to leave without my food because why would I buy things from a place where the staff is making me feel like I shouldn't be there or I'm a threat ? Mind you I'm carrying a tiny Coach purse, like did she think I was gonna try to shove the $200 + worth of food we purchased in there?! ‍ I've never shopped here and been creeped out by staff. We paid for our things and left. The encounter Left a really bad taste in my mouth but the steak was absolutely phenomenal.
