Frequent Customer If you ever feel like you want to make a Mexican dish and/or pick up lunch while you have to go grocery shopping for your Mexican themed dinner, stop at Tula. Tula is pretty small but it is super efficient with their space. There are freshly made tortillas, hot and ready to elevate your dishes in store for super cheap. There is a lot to choose from in the deli section (premartinated or not). I like to make Korean BBQ, so I can get more meat here than at a Korean market for 1/2 the price. Just communicate with the butcher and he will give you the cut that you need. Here are some steps to make a successful/less stressful trip to Tula especially if you are ordering takeout: -As soon as you enter, grab a number. -Depending how quickly they can make your order, it pays to pull a number and hang out for a little until you place your order. -Go Grocery shopping to help compliment that chips & salsa you were planning on making/bringing. The service seems to be really nice and helpful when I have come here in the past. I enjoy coming here whether to grocery shop (one stop shop for Mexican food) or to eat from their made to order take out side...its a hidden gem.

I accidentally stumbled upon this little market. I had remembered someone telling me about Pico Pica hot sauce so thought I'd check and see if they had it in here. They certainly did. Their Tapatio sauce in a regular sized bottle was only 59 cents!! They also have a selection of marinated meats and cuts for carne asada. It would help to know Spanish, but by pointing and using my fingers and my limited Spanish, I still managed to get my message across. The store is small but they have all the essentials you need to make a Mexican meal.

    Fresh tortillas.

Over price food and the service is not that great. The prices on the raw chicken and meat are outrageous.

They have lots of choices for prepared foods and a large assortment of ethnic food supplies so one can make their own entrees.

I didn't mind waiting, but it felt like he was intentionally taking his time. When it was finally my turn, he asked me to meet him on the other side of the store, handed me my bag, and said I looked mad and could have the sandwiches for free. I told him I was happy to pay, and he responded by telling me to "fuck off." I was shocked and asked if he had really just said that, and he doubled down and told me to get going. I've been a regular customer for years, but after being treated like that by the owner, I won't be back. Ryan came across as someone who grew up with a silver spoon in Newport Beach and thinks he can talk to customers however he wants. Unfortunately, they just lost two loyal customers.

They still have the same vibe and the same menu items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They did raise the prices but still a really good value regardless. Formerly a sit-down restaurant, this is now set-up as a take-out, with few tables outside near the entrance. It is also a small market as well, with a meat counter. We walked in at around 5:00pm on a Wednesday and ordered their BBQ Beef Rib dinner and a slice of pistachio cheesecake. The employees there were really friendly and nice. We didn't get her name at the register but on our receipt it said Gabby was our server and she was sweet. We had a question regarding ordering meat for an upcoming event and Max at the meat counter was very helpful. When we got home, the meal was delicious! The meat on the ribs was juicy and tender, the baked potato was hot! It stayed warm longer than most potatoes we've had and it was good. The mixed veggies were a bit softer than I expected but was fine. It was a good meal. We went back to order 8 BBQ beef rib dinners 3 days later on Saturday, 4th of July. We called in our order 30 minutes before pick up and when we arrived, we waited a few more minutes for our order to be done. The ribs weren't consistently good. Some were good but some were tough and chewy. But the sides of coleslaw & mashed potatoes were really good. Rolls were already cold at pick-up. Overall, it's still a good place and glad they're back.

You don't know what you're missing until you've had Nori!! My cousin celebrated her 30th birthday a week ago and surprised us with this delicious catering company at her party! Everything tastes so fresh and the protein to rice ratio was perfect! Usually I'll have a mouth full of rice, but this company is super generous with their protein! They also have a few side dishes that pair very well with these hand rolls. We all met Kevin and Abe and they were one of the most personable people I've ever met; both very humble men and very, very easy to talk to. What an amazing experience! We went in several hours before closing, but when we got up to order, we were told they were already out of the brisket, ribs, dirty rice, and a few other items. What made it more disappointing was when we asked if there were any substitutions available for the items they were out of, we were immediately told "no." At that point, our options were pretty limited. The only meats available were pulled pork and chicken. I completely understand that restaurants sell out of popular items, especially BBQ spots, but being out of that many menu items well before closing and not offering any flexibility or substitutions made for a frustrating experience. In Chinese cuisine, some barbecue meats and cold dishes are prepared in advance and may be served at room temperature or reheated before serving. Using a microwave does not automatically mean the food is low quality or not fresh. It can simply be part of the serving process. Chicken and duck are also commonly chopped and served with the bones still inside. This is a very traditional way of preparing and serving these meats, although customers who are unfamiliar with this style may find it inconvenient. The food here tastes authentic, and in my opinion, Frank's BBQ is one of the best traditional Chinese barbecue restaurants in Orange County. It may not match everyone's personal preferences, but I think it is important to understand the culture and preparation style before unfairly criticizing the restaurant or calling the food bad.
