We were in town for the night and hoped to be able to watch Monday night football, and have drinks and dinner. I Yelped bourbon bars, and found Erin's Snug just down the street from our hotel. I had hoped to have corned beef and cabbage, but was told they were out. Ugh. So I settled for a Reuben. (I looked at him quizzically when he told me they could still make this, but he said the corned beef was prepared a different way. It was kind of shredded.) This wasn't optimal for my low-carb diet, but I pulled off most of the bread and went with it. It was okay, but not great. Kind of disappointing. My Maker's Mark Manhattan, on the other hand, was quite tasty. My husband had the stew, and said it was very good. It came with a large piece of bread on top, maybe soda bread, and was served in a large bowl, Other than the bartender making a joke about how they wouldn't put the Bears game on because this was Packers country (as it turns out, he's from Buffalo), and being oddly out of corned beef and cabbage, the evening was nice. read more

I have visited this Irish bar 3 times. Each time I had the French Onion soup which is the best I have ever had. I need to go more often so I can try some of their other items. Service was great and I like the atmosphere. Don't let the name fool you it's quite a large place. read more

We had a really great time at Erin's. I enjoy cute atmospheres and loved all the authentic Irish decor and the multiple rooms and spaces to dine. I felt like I was really in an Irish pub. There was ample parking and we were seated immediately upon walking in on Saturday night. Our server Erin was truly wonderful and I'd come back again just for her. I was debating between two different dressings for my beetroot and blue cheese salad and she brought me both even though she had recommended one over the other. It's been a long time since I've had this kind of service. She also brought to-go lids for them when I needed a box for my salad without me even asking. The salad also has apples and candied walnuts and while fairly simple, the flavors were great. I tried both the Parmesan peppercorn and the raspberry vinaigrette dressings and they were both very good. I also had a delicious raspberry cosmopolitan. My husband had a Guinness which was so so good as well as the prime rib special. The prime rib sides included only veggies, a potato choice, and au jus sauce. It would have been nice to have a horseradish sauce or something else to go with it, although it was cooked to perfection and there wasn't too much fat on it. We ended up with the Bailey's Irish creme cheesecake for dessert and it was a 10/10. I've never had anything like this before, but it was so decadent yet also light. Overall our dinner was a little pricy for what it was, but maybe you are paying for the atmosphere a bit. There was a large party celebrating a birthday so I would recommend it for large groups as well. read more

Will not be back....a nice waitress came over right away and got us drinks. Shortly after guy came over and asked if we wanted any drinks. The first waitress then came over with drinks and the two seemed to be upset about who was taking the table and the nice waitress immediately turned into a rude waitress, slamming our drinks down and storming off. Now I understand we were a table of 16, but our waiter couldn't keep up. Many of us sat with empty water glasses or empty drinks. I asked for a side of ranch and it never came. I was done with my wings by the time the waiter even came back for me to remind him of my ranch. I would rather eat hot wings than wait for my ranch and eat cold wings. Our table should have been his only table or two people should have been checking on us. We are not demanding people so it wasn't like we were hard to please. WILL NOT BE BACK due to service . The two servers should have never made us feel uncomfortable over the table miscommunication and our server did not do a very good job of taking care of us. read more

I love Shepherd's Pie and when I knew we were going to an Irish Pub I automatically knew what I was getting. This did not disappoint. Food is pretty good. I will say I think the Fish fry is a slight rip off. I ordered the fish fry and my boyfriend ordered the fish on the menu. His looked much much more filling. Mine was fine, but for ~$3 more I would have ordered his instead. Drinks are good and i appreciate the menu has some good standard Irish brews. Our server was 5 stars. My boyfriend drinks a heck of a lot of diet cokes. She was on the ready with his refills before he even finished, and he finishes quick. I like the inside various rooms. The space is very spacious and you wouldn't expect it once you first saw it. The outdoors also has a nice patio and outdoor bar. Perfect for summer months! Erin's is a can-miss spot - it's just off a couple of main highways outside of Madison, so you really have to know where to look. So I'll call it a don't-wanna-miss spot. That's accurate. I'm glad I found this place to nosh before a good night's sleep, cause man is this ever some delicious. I don't know if you can tell from your photos, but the food is just dense, rich, creamy, filling, satisfying. Hits every taste bud. The chili mac had plenty of both, the perfect balance, with the artfully spiced bread to dip and wipe the bowl clean at the end. The cake is just the right level of high density, the right balance of frosting to cake, and just barely non-alcoholic enough to be enjoyed by all ages. Which I recommend. Near the airport? This place has a good vibe, decent drinks, okay food. Our service was a little bit slow, but the server was nice! It rained like cats and dogs outside, but then a real dog came inside and sat at a table diagonal from us...the barking was distracting, but he was a super cute dog. The food was just "okay" honestly. I had a hard time deciding what to eat because the options weren't doing much for me. I thought it was a bit overpriced, but it was good enough for a dinner after a fishing trip. Again, good cocktails, good sweet potato fries, but our food was underwhelming. read more

Over the top. We are In from out of town and so glad we selected this establishment. Very clean and friendly all around service. I was with my mother who is in a wheelchair and they were very accommodating with table selection and door opening. The drink selection was amazing. I started with a pineapple upside down martini. So colorful and tasty. Had to close off the meal with some Baileys Irish Cream. We enjoyed the corn beef and cabbage. It was served in a seasoned broth with carrots, potatoes, and celery. The corn beef melted in your mouth. They also had intriguing desserts. We elected to share the Bailey's Irish Crème Cheesecake. In town again? We'll be here. read more

Had an excellent time at Erin's for my birthday! Enjoyed my favorite app, Calamari. My husband got the steak special and I got fried fish (I think it was bluegill). Also enjoyed a fun martini as I love to do (espresso or chocolate, I can't remember). The atmosphere here is awesome. Such a cool place. It was super cozy, lots of seating and a big bar too! Menu is so diverse, seafood, pasta, great appetizers, something for foodies....you got it. I had the scotch eggs for dinner because I can't find them anywhere back home in Indiana. We had the chocolate cake to celebrate. Wow!!! Some marshmallow icing, large enough to share and decadent heaven. This atmosphere has a great vibe. We got to sit by the fireplace. Irish Pub time! Stopped over here during a trip with friends. Restaurant looks like the traditional Irish pub inside and out. Service was pretty quick and friendly. My friends went with traditional Irish dishes on the menu and they said both were fantastic! Cheese curds and French onion soup were both solid starters as well. Went to Erin's for the first time in St Patrick's day. They were packed and even so there was only a 30 min wait. We enjoyed a green beer along with our meals, Shepard's pie and calamari with a side salad. The place is huge and everyone was welcoming and friendly, there was love music and obvious wasn't the typical night noise wise but we still really enjoyed ourselves. The place is massive with tons of rooms and each has its own unique decor and there were so many options on the menu. I settled for the Shepard's pie because I was craving comfort food. Slightly overpriced for the food and drinks they serve here but the atmosphere is nice. Very well decorated interior and beautiful exterior, a great place to meet up with people. The food here isn't that great/impressive...my husband is Irish and didn't think the food was all that great. I am not Irish, but I am from California so my expectations are a lot higher than a lot of Midwesterners. The food in my opinion was bland and my dish was overcooked. I don't recommend the food here but the drinks are good! In my opinion the drinks are slightly overpriced but if you like the atmosphere this is the place to be. read more

Very nice service and fantastic setting. Food was pretty good too. We had the trinity appetizer, good assortment and enough for two - we split the Bangers and mash dinner. We just went in for the fish fry tonight as we have previously really enjoyed their food. We went in late February for fish fry on Friday and left stuffed. The pieces of cod were huge. We came tonight and the fish fry was awful. The fish pieces were basically full pieces they'd cut into thirds (see picture below-the yellow item is a lemon wedge). Each piece of the fish was barely bigger than a lemon wedge. We asked the server as we were super confused. The only answer we got was that it was a "different" cut. The fish itself was also very over done, as it seemed like they had been cooked for the normal size we've had before rather than accommodating for size. All in all this was a horrible experience and we will likely not return. Word to the wise, DO NOT GO FOR THE FRIDAY FISH FRY! You will be disappointed. Additionally, we had an issue with our bill. We needed assistance with getting it adjusted and the manager was incredibly rude to us. She spoke to us in a very loud voice, sighed at us a number of times, and spoke to us rudely the entire time. We will not be returning to this establishment. If you want great food and a good staff this is not the place for you. read more
