Dr. Cortez is very thorough and meticulous when it comes to his work. Whether it's a chipped tooth, teeth whitening, or working in collaboration with other dental specialists for a root canal or orthodontics, he knows his stuff. Dr. Cortez has even corrected work from my old dentist, such as when a filling wasn't set properly, became loose, or messed with my bite. It's a family owned business, and all of the staff are personable. Plus, I appreciate that I receive a text message and a phone call to remind me of an upcoming appointment. P.S. Dr. Cortez and his wife (Carrie) can also give you awesome travel tips if you plan to visit one of their favorite spots: NYC or NOLA.

I have one complaint about an issue that can be avoided as long as you never call the phone number for anything more than an appointment. The phone is answered by someone who is not in that office, and will not want to transfer your call to the location where you are receiving services. I got pretty upset when they wouldn't transfer me, and were calling the location to answer my questions, which led to additional questions that they wanted to continue handling the same way. i requested a bridge on the top right. so i went in to get my bridge and he was going to do it on…read morethe bottom left i said wait i requested the top right, he said his secretary made a mistake and put bottom left. i told him well just move the money to the other side of the mouth. he said he couldnt do that, it was unauthorized. so i told him well lets just not do it. he said you know its december of 2024 he said "if i dont do it now i lose the money" so i told him to go ahead and proceed. my part for the bridge was over $400.00. so then i called weeks later ,i told him that the bridge was shoving food up into my missing tooth on my upper left. and it was very tender. so he recommended a bridge on the top left. and he was gonna give me a special discount of $1300.00. so this was gonna be $1700.00 and this still wasn't the top right bridge what i orignially wanted. i moved to the opposite side of town and continued to go see him because i thought he was a great dentist. it's unfortunate his secretary made a mistake and i still dont have the bridge that i orgininally wanted. over $1700.00 later now i have a new dentist that is much closer to the house. i still think he's a great dentist his supporting staff is not as good as he is. i literally put my finger in my mouth on the top right and his secretary wrote bottom left there was a breakdown somewhere between me and his secretary ordering the bridge authorization.

They are the experts and should know what each insurance covers before performing procedures, they should then ask if the patient is ok paying for charges not covered by the insurance. For those reasons I do not recommend this dental facility. I called the office, as requested by the owner, on several occasions to resolve the issue. They took two types of x-rays, instead of one, when the insurance covers only one of those types of x-rays every 5 years. I ended up having to pay for their mistake. Therefore, I do not recommend them.
