I dropped off 8 pairs of AGL ballerina shoes towards the end of 2023 to get the soles repaired. Till this date, Jorge has not found my shoes. I went to his shop after he was supposed to repair my shoes, and he said my shoes were put in his storage and he would look for them. I have called and emailed him.. he has never called me back or replied to my emails. It's very frustrating to go to his shop and it's always closed. Craftsmanship like this doesn't really exist anymore these days especially at such a small and local level. I went in there today to see if they could fix my broken belt buckle on a great work belt and got more than I expected. They asked what I needed help with and i showed them the belt. The guy then showed me all the buckles they had in stock and let me choose one. I thought I would of needed to come back the next day to pick up the finished product but to my surprise he sewed the new buckle on the belt right there n then. Very quick and very good quality work. Will do business with them again for ANY leather needs. read more

Jorge is the best leather repair I've found in the county. He's super nice and knows what he's doing. Did a great job freshening up a bag for me and it was such a reasonable price! I've only been to one other shoe shop in sc county and the work left something to be desired plus they were pretty expensive for what they offered. I will " rewrite " my review for this place since the halfwits at YELP filtered my other review. YELP must have a room full of miserable morons who do nothing but take down real reviews from real customers. I have use Jorge twice now. Yes...both times there were some frustrations with how he runs his business. It would be nice if he answered the phone.....or at least have a recording of his hours. It would be nice if he could be counted on to be there when he says he will be. This is the hard part...his hours are not posted...and this is annoying to be sure. BUT...the work he does is very nice....very affordable...so I cut him some slack. I'd rather put up with Jorge than to pay that clown in Aptos at A&B the obscene charges he wants to charge. So...if you are patient...and willing to overlook Jorge's shortcomings...he does nice work for a fair price. NOW...if only those nitwits at YELP will leave my review up it might help folks wondering about this business. read more

I've had Jorge fix a few shoes that I just can't throw away but what I mainly like is that now I can buy 4 inch heels and he most of the time can actually cut the heel!! I was very dissatisfied with this store. Although I had read the other poor review, I had a very simple and quick shoe repair, so I figured I'd try the store anyway (because the location was convenient). Bad choice. When I dropped off my shoes, they were unable to provide me with an estimated completion date... which was a little ridiculous. I left them with my phone number, and they called four days later when my shoes were repaired. When I came in to pick up my shoes, they searched the store for about ten minutes, then told me they couldn't find them. Pretty unbelievable. I had to come back the next day, at which time they had finally found my shoes. Very, very disorganized. read more

Horrible service!!!! I took two pair of my favorite boots one to restore and one to replace a zipper.First he's never open when he's supposed to be open, second my boots weren't ready when Jorge said they would. Between going various times and being closed during "open" hours and on several occasions when we would catch him he was waiting for a "part". Finally after the 8th attempt to pick up my boots he was there and they were "ready". Well, not. I put my boots away because of the season, I pulled them out last week excited to wear them to an event... I come to find out he never fixed the zipper and said it was fixed and had the nerve to charge me. I will NEVER go there again. read more

I have been going to Jeorge's repair for a while now, he's worked on my boots and purse's before, but every time I went to go pick them up he would say "oh sorry not ready yet"a few more days. I gave him almost 2 weeks and they weren't ready. Nice guy just needs to prioritize his work. For the past week and a half I've been driving by his business hoping he would be open the sign on his door say's he'll return at 11am I was there at 12:15 still not open. Very poor communication to his customers, He just lost one. I will look elsewhere. read more

My mother was kind enough to take my beloved Frye boots here to get resoled recently. They did a good job on resoling the boots, however there were a couple major problems. First, they promised the boots would be ready after one week but my mom went back an additional 2-3 times to pick them up and they were still not ready. I think they should have called us and told us they were not ready so she didn't have to go into work early multiple times. Furthermore, my boots got re-stained and now they are a completely different color. We did not ask for this at all and I don't like the new color. This still makes me upset because it was not requested and I cannot replace these boots because I bought them in 2007 and they are not available anymore. Like I said the re-soling was done well but be careful they don't do anything else to your shoes! read more
