I bought 3 jackets, 3 pairs of shoes, 2 belts. They have very limited supply in store. I had to order 2 of the pairs of shoes, 2 of the belts, and buy one of the jackets with the wrong fit (traditional vs slim) and wait to get it tailored (and pay for the tailoring since they didn't have the right fit available). It took about 2 weeks to get everything, but one pair of shoes had black smudges on them so the had to reorder. The tailored jacket looked horrible. The traditional shoulders looked circa 1982 with the tailored slim torso. Also the sleeves bloused from the body. Circa 1982 women's jacket (I'm a man). I wore the jacket 1 day and tried to return when picking up the shoes for a second time. The manager said he couldn't take a tailored jacket back. It was their idea to tailor a traditional fit jacket when I bought slim fit jackets. I offered to take store credit and even store credit for half price but he whisper/mumbled no. I left with my shoes and ugly jacket, luckily checking the shoes at my car. 1 shoe in the box. I walked back to the store and told him to just refund the shoes. To recap: horrible inventory, encourage horrible tailoring, make me pay more for their horrible inventory, force me to keep their horrible tailoring, horrible ability to order one simple pair of shoes, horrible manager and customer service. This is a very convenient location in Rice Village. Ample free parking in the back of store. Great customer service. Garrett will take the time to measure and offer stylistic advice. Prices vary for all budgets. I was particularly shocked at the low price on sweaters. And I was really shocked at the huge selection of men's suits. This place has gone down hill in service and quality since men's warehouse bought them. Alterations are incomplete or wrong. Clothing as a cheap copy of what used to be sold at JAB. They are the very best advertising for Brooks Brothers. Really sad because it's less than a mile from my house I have spent a fortune here. Total idiots. Got fitted for a suit that I needed for a wedding and confirmed with them that I needed it by a certain time, they said it would be ready no problem. And here I am the day before and they totally dropped the ball. Having to take it last minute to someone else who actually has an inkling of competence. On my second return visit to pick up the suit the slacks had stains on them. It looks like chocolate to me but they assure me that tailors are not allowed to eat. You can judge for yourself from the picture. Notice also the threaded knot hanging out. The knot is in both pants legs. I had also left the jacket to be pressed since it was full of wrinkles the last visit, but you can see on the photo the amount of wrinkles. It's now February and I have picked up my last slacks that were promised before Christmas. I took them to a tailor to get them corrected. Even simple requests such as cutting open the suit jacket pockets could not be done by the store tailors. Just a disappointing place. read more

I decided to try this store after seeing incredible sales online. I was blown away by the customer service at this location and at the incredible prices! I purchased a suit and decided to have it tailored to a slim fit. Admittedly, I was quite nervous to have it altered after a bad experience with a different retailer. I could not have been more pleased when I picked it up. The fit is exactly what I wanted. Even picked up a few more sale items. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Clothes are good. Prices vary due to whatever special is being run. I really wish they would bring back the old underwear. It was the best. Sizing was based on waist and the waist band was awesome. I cannot find any others that compare. I find I buy less clothes here because I am not going there for underwear. read more

The listen to what my needs are and offer suggestions accordingly. They acknowledge you as soon as you walk in even if they are busy. Very easy for me to walk in, find what I need and walk out. Our day stared with a 6 am flight and my husband forgot his sport coat. So our first stop in Houston was to pick up a new sport coat for the business part of our trip. We found this location close to our hotel and made a beeline there. For unclear reasons, the employees here were totally uninterested in selling us anything. We walked in, said we needed to buy a sport coat and one employee told the other to show us to the area. He walked us around the store in the longest possible path to the corner with jackets. Then, he pointed at the rack and said "these are the coats". We went through the rack looking for one that would work with the ties and pants the forgetful husband had managed to pack, and found a couple options. The coats were mixed in with full suits and the employee made no effort to try and pull things in my husbands size or separate the coats from the suits to help us see what the options were. He just stood there watching us try to find things in their disorganized and over stuffed rack. We found what we wanted after about 5 minutes and were ready to purchase. We had told them he needed to wear it out, but they made no attempt to help us with that either. I mentioned that I needed to cut the tags off, and when the employees made no offer to hand me the scissors laying next to the cash register, I reached over and grabbed them myself. Love the coat, good price. Terrible service. And parking was a beast in front of the store! read more

wish i could give 0 stars. i walked in today, to buy a cologne , with a compensatory coupon given to me by jos.A bank for a mistake in a purchase of mine. first the lady there was welcoming, when i said i will use a coupon, her attitude and facial expression changed, so i let that slide . anyway, we were processing the transaction and she said coupon is used. Next she was unwilling to tell me where it was used using simply the transaction ID . i had to insist . after that, she refused to cooperate in telling me whether the so called products ordered with the coupon were delivered to me or not because i didnt receive any product. i will update you guys with her name. I have stayed away from Jos a Bank for the last few years thinking of it more as a "starter" brand. Well, today's experience has changed my mind. My lovely wife bought me a well intentioned gift card for Jos a Banks so I decided to stop in today after work. First, the two associates could not have been nicer or more knowledgeable. They quickly took a waist measurement and off we went. Next, head over to the pants and landed on the classics: navy, dark tan and dark grey. Then off to the jackets where I picked up a nice fitting navy blue pinstripe, another classic. The materials felt heavy and durable while draping well. Finally, the customer experience rating was a 10/10. The store was organized, the displays were in order and the clothing racks were not overstuffed. The associates educated me about the new jab MTM service offered and the customer service could not have been better. If you stop by ask for Tim and Lady. read more
