Terrible on many accounts. Store is dirty, dressing room is full of clothes from previous customers. Assistance is less than knowledgeable. Every single item in the store is ridiculously marked up so they can put the entire store on a huge sale all the time. Purchased my suits for myself and groomsmen for my wedding and that was a NIGHTMARE. All 5 groomsmen had issues getting the right items at the negotiated price, each with a totally different issue in both this store and other across the country. Seriously, find another option. read more

We got to the store around 8:30pm, knowing they close at 9pm. I was a little nervous that they would be annoyed at my boyfriend's procrastination in getting fitted for a tux for a wedding he is in next month and both of our procrastination in deciding to come in 30 minutes before closing. Josh and Jim (pretty sure these were their names!?) could not have been kinder or more helpful. They genuinely seemed happy to help us and talk with us. I am honestly very surprised after our experience to see that this store has only 2 stars. But it seems like several of the reviewers dealt with a woman employee so maybe it's just her? Not sure, but we were more than pleased with the competence and friendliness of the staff and the service we received. read more

SHOUT OUT TO COLE! My fiancee, future MIL and I all stopped into Jos. A. Bank for wedding tuxedos last weekend and we couldn't be happier with our choice of Jos. A. Bank. I'm a Jos. A. Bank customer for life (but that's a whole different story) so we stopped into get an idea of what tuxes, vests, color combinations, etc we would like for our wedding in August and Cole came to the rescue. He helped us by laying out numerous combinations, showed us picture of the finished suits that we liked, helped with color matching, suggestions for shoes, ties, pocket squares, etc. I'm not a shopper but Cole helped us with everything, booking the group, gathered the information I needed to let my groomsmen know how and where to get their tuxes and made this process easy. We checked a big box on our long list of wedding items and thank Jos. A Bank & your awesome staff for your help! read more

Worked with Jim and had a great experience at this store. Jos A. Bank came highly recommended from a fellow executive team member at work and I am happy I took the advice. With respect to the previous reviews, I wonder if this store is under new management? Jim provided the personal shopping service I would expect from a dedicated suit and tuxedo store - attention to detail, polite suggestions and patience. Jim even helped with advice on keeping the clothing maintained (dry cleaning, shoe care). My wife and I have returned a second time and I plan to continue shopping at this location as long as the current staff is in place. The hours are convenient and the service was excellent. With respect to value, I ended up with several suit combinations for the price of one thanks to a 70% off sale that was running. While I normally hate email marketing I hopped on the Jos A. Bank list to recieve the sale notifications. So far, the only email I receieve are notices of major sales every few weeks. I have only one suggestion at the time of this writing - there seems to be a perennially small selection of dress shirts in my size (and several other sizes). I understand that it would be impossible to stock more of every size but please consider keeping a few more of each in the future. If you are looking for Macy's quality and service witjout the Macy's price tag, look no further. I recommend you stop in and check out what the Bel Mar Jos. A Bank has to offer. read more

I rented a tux for my best friends wedding at the Belmar location. The fitting process seemed to be pretty smooth. The staff seemed friendly. I finally called ( as I hadn't heard from them ) a few days before the destination wedding. Needless to say the pick up date was changed and I was able to pick the tux up the day before I left for Estes Park. I put my tux on a few hours before the wedding. The clasp on the right side of my pants didn't lock in place. I had to use rolled up socks in my waist line for photos and held my pants up with one hand during the ceremony. My girlfriend called the store and was assured by who she talked to that they would make it right. This would be a ZERO star if it would let me... I was charged ( come to find out ) considerably more than the other groomsmen...I was told that's the price. I was offered a $15 refund for my issue with the pants. I paid over $200 to rent this tux. With the incompetence, lack of customer service and lack of compassion I will never return! My best friend ( the bride who is a wedding planner ) and myself ( a photographer ) will never recommend Jos A Bank again.... lesson learned!! AVOID JOS A BANK!!!!! read more

Josh, while helpful, was overshadowed by the incompetent and rude boss who had an opinion at every step including the level of service he should provide based on her assumption of how deep (or shallow, in this case) our pockets were. Aweful customer service, incompetent salespeople. We ordered 4 suits for groomsmen 3 months before the wedding. It's now 15 days before the wedding and measurements were incorrect and another suit was not altered that should have been done by now. Worse of all when we called and came in to resolve these issues, our paperwork couldn't be found! This store uses an outdated tracking system. A binder and the salespeople are clueless! Never again will we come here. read more

Terrible service meets incompetence. Needless to say, I did not make my purchase here. The sales associate had no clue about that which she was trying to explain regarding sales, pricing, and policy. She was distracted and confused by whatever it is she was supposed to be doing. Fear not though, as her manager - timid and so soft spoken I could barely hear him in a quiet, empty store - was just as useless. It struck me that he was intimidated by her for some oddball reason. The best this store could offer was a tux with a stain on it and no guarantee that a non-stained one of similar style would actually arrive, but they were happy to take my money to pay for another tux to be sent to the store, and if I didn't like it, well, that was my problem and I'm out the shipping fee. I will, I hope very obviously, never shop here again. read more

My wedding was July 2016. My husband and the best man went in to look at prices for tux rentals and prices and we were happy with a special rent 5 tuxes and receive one tux free to keep. So we went a head and started our preferences and the tuxes we wanted the colors and everything. We had everything set up and told all the groomsmen to go get fitted. Keep in mind this was about 6-5 months in advance before the wedding. So as the groomsmen went in to get fitted we had a different sales person every time. Every time we went in they had problems finding our group in the system. Every time we went in it took forever to be seen because what it seemed like they didn't have enough help in the store. They told me that the suits wouldn't be in until 3 days before the event and assured me that if anything was wrong they would over night the suit and get it fixed. So 3 days before the wedding my husband and the best man went in for the final try on and the suit pants were parachutes. They were all baggy and looked terrible. We told the sales guy about he issue and he began to tell us that there was nothing they could do about the pants because it was a rental and he said we should have just purchased our own suits for cheaper. Haha. Ok why weren't we told that the suits weren't going to look right and what was the point of getting Measured/fitted for the suit. At this point there was nothing we could do because guess what the wedding was in 3 days. I'm a really relaxed bride and I wasn't about to go bridezilla on them because I had so much other things to get done. It is now August and we still haven't gone back to get our free suit because I'm annoyed with the whole experience. All of the groomsmen all complained about the fitting and everyone noticed at the wedding and it kinda became a joke. When we go in for the free suit I really hope they don't give problems because I'm already upset about the whole thing, because after all you only get married once and there in nothing you can do to change the day. read more

I needed to get a suit for my friends wedding and I probably should not let it to the last minute. I went to jos a bank because of their sale going on. The staff was very helpful from the beginning, the store manager understood what I needed right away and helped choose clothes for me based on my budget and style I wanted. I'm not the kind of guy who buys this kind of clothes all the time so it was very helpful to get some suggestions along the way. I got all what I needed and the store manager Taunia got my pants ready on time for the wedding. Needless to say if I ever need another suit or shirt I will go back to that store. read more

I experienced horrible service getting fitted for a tuxedo. Lady helping me was having trouble with the computer. I was very poorly measured, and waited almost 45 minutes. Most recently got a phone call from the groom saying that I never went in to get measured. Good thing i have a receipt with measurements and proof of payment. read more

A year ago, after being laid off from a remote employee position, I was in need of a suit for an interview. Jos. A. Bank of Lakewood had one in my size. Manager Taunia Whiteaker rushed the tailoring so I could wear the suit to the interview. Finally a year later I got a position that required business dress. Regarding earlier reviews: the tux rental service at Jos. A Bank is an independent contractor, not directly affiliated. If you want a tux from Jos. A Bank, buy one. Don't rent it. Now that that's out of the way, the folks in this store are usually friendly, and even gave me their corporate discount card on my first visit. I always find good service here, but I also generally know exactly what I'm looking for. Usually Armanda helps me. She is very friendly! Long story short, this store is best for executive dress, not tux rentals. Only bad thing, prices tend to be steep. Make sure to go when they are having a sale. read more

Horrible. I took a suit that was purchased from them in to be tailored, thinking they'd offer free tailoring since it was purchased from them. They didn't. Macy's does. I was okay with that, and went ahead and had them tailor it. I needed it in time for a wedding, and gave them plenty of time. It was done in time, but they took way to much out of the sides and the coat barely buttoned up. Needless to say it looked ridiculous and obviously didn't fit. I received the suit on a Saturday, and had to leave for the wedding 4 days later so there was no time to have the alterations fixed since their tailor wouldn't be in for another week. They offered to have the button moved by the tailor if I took the suit all the way to Stapleton on Monday. In no way would that have fixed the issue, the suit had way too much taken out of it for just moving the button to make it look right. I took the suit coat to a professional tailor (which I should have done in the first place) and he agreed that moving the button wouldn't have fixed the problem. Luckily there was enough fabric left in the coat for him to let it back out. I will never go to this store again, and will use a professional tailor from now on. The only thing that redeems them is they did refund $15 of the $63 I paid them for the alterations, but that barely made up for the stress and frustration of having to deal with all this. My suggestion... go somewhere else. read more

Well, this company has really gone down hill. The quality of product and customer service. Two weeks after ordering online and wondering when my pants would show I contacted the customer service. They told me that it would be 8-10 days for them to investigate the missing UPS product. So they want me to wait a month before anything happens. They have my money and have not sent any product. After two days and three hours of endless chat. Being told that new pants were being expedited and tracking number being emailed. Nope, never happened. Had to get back online for another hour of chat. To finally get a partial refund and store credit. The store credit will not be used but at least I have some of my money back. I will never shop Jos A Banks again! 20 years and done. Too many other shops that are competent to shop with. BEWARE!!!!!!! read more
