Special shoutout to Zeke and Tim! Flew in from CA to pick up 7 tuxes for a family wedding. We got fitted at Men's Wearhouse in CA and when all the gentlemen went to try on the tuxes 5/7 of them were totally off in size...and not by just a little bit. What could have been a disaster was seamlessly remedied by these two gentlemen and all with the greatest attitude and smiles. I never write yelp reviews but had to make sure to come on here and recognize them for their above and beyond service. Thank you guys again for such excellent customer service! I recently rented a tuxedo from Jos. A. Bank in Newport after having been fit at a store in San Francisco a month earlier. Start to finish, the experience could not have been better. A few days before my scheduled pickup date, Angel called me to let me know the suit was ready. When I showed up (about five hours before I actually needed to wear the suit), it turned out that the jacket sleeves were a bit long (incorrect measurements from the original fitting). The Newport staff got on it immediately, and had everything fixed an hour early. The suit fit perfectly, and I looked like a million bucks (and received tons of compliments) at my work function - and it's not every day I get comments like that! Hats off to Angel and his colleagues in the Newport store. Friendly, fast, caring, knowledgeable - they hit all the marks. I imagine that there are many events in the Newport area for which tuxes are needed, and I can't think of a better place to go for any kind of menswear than Jos. A. Bank. Worst Tux/Customer Service experience ever! It started with getting fitted at the Burlington, MA store. The two girls made it obvious from the second my friend and I walked in that they had no interest in helping us-and it showed when we went to pick up our tuxes. At least 6 of the guys that needed to get a tux needed to get re-fitted. The guy doing the fitting didn't know what size we needed and were asking us what to get. We needed to come back the next day (day before the wedding) to pick up our re-fitted tuxes and they gave me the same one! After putting the tux on I realized that they gave me the same one that already didn't fit. Then, after they realized the mistake, they had me try on a new tux-which still didn't fit! However, there was no one available to help because they were all standing around talking. When someone finally came over, I told them that it didn't fit they said they will keep it and re-hem it again. This was not possible as the wedding was the next day so we all just took them as-is. When we all got together to get dressed, we realized that almost everyone had a sleeve longer than the next or the pants weren't even close to the correct size. We also noticed that the Best Man had a rip in his jacket sleeve and the GROOM'S BOWTIE WAS FRAYED! I could go through each individual and tell you what was wrong, but it would take far too long. Todd at the front helped me pick out a suit for a very reasonable price and at cheaper than it would've been to rent! I would give 0 stars if possible for the lack of integrity of the staff. I was visiting Newport in October and needed a Tux urgently. I went to the store and found something that would suffice my need. The price quoted was full price excluding taxes which I accepted. At the time of billing, additional charge was added for tailoring which was supposed to be part of the original all inclusive full price quoted. It was not the money but the lack of integrity of the sales person that made me walk out. Fortunately, after returning back to Manhattan I got a better tux at a better price from Men's Wearhouse with no issues and tailored fo same day delivery. read more

Overpriced...maybe, but can you put a price on great service? Came into the store 15 days before a wedding I planned on attending and received 5 star service with 3 star prices. For a man that rarely wears suits (more of a sports jacket kind of man) the staff walked me through the in and outs of picking a suit that best fit my needs. While in a bit of a time crunch, the store ordered the jacket I needed, tailored it and the pants to fit my big boy body, and polished it off with several detailed shirt and tie combinations that would fit every occasion. I would highly recommend this place of business for first time buyers due to the staff taking all the guess work out of it and being very knowledgeable in their trade. Time to suit up! read more

This company lost a great and likely lifelong customer yesterday. A few months ago my husband spent a lot of money in this store buying multiple shirts, multiple pants, shoes, sport coat, tie....AND a winter coat! Not cheap! But we were impressed with the clothing and with the customer service. That is until yesterday. One pair of my husband's pants after only 7 washes on the gentle cycle split open down the back. We went to see if we could just exchange them for a new pair. Again...only owned these pant a few months! Was rudely told a big fat no. And they seemed to implicate this tear was somehow my husband's fault. Yes...he's known for deliberately tearing his own pants just for fun. Huh???? They told my husband (and I quote) "these pants shouldn't tear like this so soon". Um.....yes, we agree! Thanking for agreeing with us! Now do the right thing and replace them. Again, big fat no on that. SO, beware! If you buy from here, don't expect your clothes to last more than 7 washes and certainly don't expect the store to help you out if you want them replaced. They lost a lifelong customer. Their loss. read more

Two strikes and you are out Jos. Bank #1- We had a wedding last June in Detroit. My husband went to Jos. Bank to be fitted for a tux. Suit was to be picked up in Detroit the day before the wedding. We called the Detroit store to confirm pickup and it was not there. Apparently, even after providing the Detroit store's address, it was in Newport. They assured us it would be sent overnight. We went to the store the day of the wedding to find out that the Newport store never sent it. They forgot....The Detroit store was amazing and pulled together a tux for him in a few hours. Unfortunately, we spent hours trying to get this done instead of spending it with family and friends. #2- Last week we had a wedding in New Orleans. We brought my husbands suit in for alterations 10 days prior to him needing it. They assured us this would not be a problem. He checked on Monday and they hadn't started it but said it would be ready on Tuesday. They called on Tues and guess what- they were unable to do it, it was the tailor's day off..... I requested they call the NOLA store, which was close to our hotel. When we got there the contact they provided us was not there and they suggested we use a tailor down the street. We went to the other tailor, he was able to do the alterations in 2 days and was less expensive than Jos. Banks. I can't recommend this store to anyone. read more
