My mom's memorial service was coming up so I went to Jo's Flowers to see about arrangements and a wreath etc. My husband and I told them mom liked bright colors not the usual drab "funeral" colors. This florist delivered arrangements more beautiful than we could have imagined. All the flowers were fresh and lasted for at least a week following the service. I ordered flowers online thru Jo's website. The next day I realized that I had made a mistake on the delivery date and needed the flowers before Mother's Day. I called their store and they were so nice and very accommodating and went out and had my Mom's flowers delivered that same day. My Mom loved them! A week later a friend had ordered flowers also from Jo's for delivery to my Mom as well. Flowers were left on her porch (she hadn't heard the doorbell), but Jo's followed up with a phone call immediately after delivery as they had a feeling someone was home. I placed an online order this morning and asked for same day delivery. She had the flowers within a few hours and the product that was delivered look as great as the photo online. My son ordered flowers, on his own, for his girlfriend for her birthday. I wanted to make sure that everything was going to go smoothly the day of her birthday so I made a call to the number on his order confirmation to make sure it would. To my surprise and his he had ordered in the wrong state (he ordered online)! PANIC !!!! I had already spoken to someone at Jo's the day before and said he would be calling. Jo's was VERY HELPFUL and remembered me calling and fulfilled his order the same exact way it was supposed to be. It was late notice but they said no problem and that it would be handled. She even followed up and called me after delivery to say that it had been delivered and that the expression on my son's girlfriend's face was priceless and she wished she could have taken a picture. The owner and the florist were very kind in their dealings with me, so I am pleased that they at least listened to my concern. It is the PRODUCT and what I would consider a reasonable resolution for which I am writing. i ordered a fruit and flower basket to be delivered to an ailing friend of mine. My friend did take a picture of my order upon delivery...the picture shows the fruit and flowering plant, but the bananas had bruises and dark scratches on them which tainted the whole gift. For approx. $60, i expected something I'd be proud to send to a dear friend. Instead, i was embarrassed to have sent something so soiled. I spoke to the florist who just kept saying she didn't know what to do. She did tell me that complaints should have been made within 48 hours of delivery. i had perused her whole website prior to calling and found no such instruction. i checked after the call and still found nothing about 48 hours. After the 3rd time of the florist saying she didn't know what to do...i knew this was going nowhere. Oh...she did say she GUESSED she could take my friend some bananas. Really? I would have been happy with a small token of resolution, like maybe offering me 10% off of a future purchase (which, by the way, would have kept me as a customer). As of today with this experience, i won't be a returning customer to Jo's Flowers and Gifts. PLEASE make sure you have the recipient take pictures of your gift as soon as it's delivered. We shouldn't have to pay prices like this anyway and then have something imperfect delivered to a loved one. NOT good business sense in my book. read more
