    Sal was extremely professional in sending out their repair person. However, the person who came…read morewas very unfriendly. When I asked him to wear a mask, he refused. When I asked him to check if there was a leak of gas from my furnace, he said everything is in good working condition and there are multiple safety measures to prevent any leak. But when I asked how to be sure there is no leak, he said that is a second step to measure with a meter and it will cost another $89. In any event, I didn't find him to be friendly and helpful to rule out my initial complaint. I did not opt for the second step. No second step for diagnosis was informed by Sal earlier. That said, I guess I must give the business a 5-star rating based on the professional scheduling and followup of the appointment. "One swallow doesn't make a summer' or "one bad day" is not a true reflection of the company. I am changing my rating at Sal's text request personally. It's only changed because I can understand Sal's concern as a businessman. He offered me free service in return but I declined it again. He got me wrong completely. My changed rating is only for the professionalism shown by the reception desk and their follow-up. It is not for the changed picture Ron gave that I asked if Ron wanted me to wear a mask. Who would ask that in one's own house? I was wearing my mask thoughout the encounter. As a 65+ year-old, I must be cautious. I don't need a service person's permission to wear a mask inside my house. Unbelievable. But I thought I must clarify to Sal's reply. Thanks Sal for your prompt response. But, isn't that a courteous way to ask ? - "You might want to wear a mask". He saw I was wearing one and he was entering my residence. Yes, I could have insisted but I think that is rude. Secondly, my complaint was "gas leak" and hence, the request to send someone from your company. I am not disputing any diagnosis. I just placed it before you, so it doesn't happen again.. I don't want any money back either. Service was rendered and I accept your company's policy. However, I thank the reception desk for immediately scheduling the appointment the same day. It was highly professional, including the update they followed up with. I commend you for that. Anyways, thanks for your immediate response. Much appreciated

Sals heating has been working on our boiler system since 10/20/25. From 10/20/2025 till 1/2026 Sals has charged us 6,102.00 On 2/10/2026 we were presented with two more estimates: 1) 3,627.00 for further repairs . 2) 18,180.00 total replacement of Boiler It is my fear that they feel an additional 3,627.00 will not fix the boiler in entirety so they included an estimate of full replacement of system. 2) Replacement of boiler system in its entirety: 18,180.00 We have moved on and will not be using Sals service for any additional repairs/work This matter will appear on your website reviews and am submitting to the BBB

    Far & away, THE VERY BEST home-related service our family has EVER received, period. A previous…read moreHVAC provider (Cleveland Furnace) installed a new air conditioning unit about 4-5 years ago. The same provider (still Cleveland Furnace) subsequently returned & installed an evaporator for the unit which was attached to our furnace. It developed a leak which in turn led to all the frion in the air conditioner leaking out. No frion, no cool air. Assured us at the end of the summer (2012) that we would be "at the very top of his priority list". May 2013 rolls around. Then mid-May and early June. After 2-3 weeks of multiple polite but increasingly urgent calls, texts, no response. Meanwhile, it's getting hotter & hotter & more & more humid. Finally, with elderly parents arriving & a party planned for the 2nd weekend of June we have no choice but to find another HVAC provider. This time I go on-line & look for reviews (sorry, yelp, didn't find them here) & picked Green Home Solutions... The tech, Ted, was prompt, polite & professional. Since I wasn't totally familiar with what appeared to be (& was) the problem, I had Ted speak with my husband on the phone. Between the 2 of them, the solution was determined & the repair was made. The fee for the repair seemed quite fair - although the cost for him to refill the frion, ~$800, hurt (new EPA regs & a steep hike in new formula). Mind you - this was NOT Green Home's fault (they didn't cause the leak, but fixed it) - but it does underscore WHY you need to use a reliable HVAC Company to begin with. Not only did we not hear back from them, we had to foot the bill for their shoddy work (no leak, no need to pay to refill frion, let alone the repair)! But wait! That's not the best part! Stay with me now: Ted ended up having to come back a second time because the repair ended up setting up a chain reaction which led to water leaking all over the basement (long story). He arrived that afternoon & ended up calling a second tech to help but they got the job done. Ted did not leave our home until 9:00 p.m. I now sit here cool as a cucumber on my couch. The party (& my parents) should be just fine next weekend. But I must say that I am simply BLOWN AWAY by Ted's tenacity & total determination to get the job done. No excuses, no run around, no delays. Amazing service, phenomenal work ethic & we didn't pay a single cent more. That, my friends, deserves 10 stars... But yelp will only let me give 'em 5!!

Have been very pleased with their professionalism throughout the entire staff, their honesty, and their dedication to customer service and quality.
