This was my first time at this location. We arrived before the Sunday evening dinner rush and the service was welcoming. The staff at this location wear headsets which help with faster response times for food updates/status. This location does have A LOT of dinner options to choose from, I think it would be helpful if it were more condensed (a bit overwhelming). Overall the food is good and friendly environment. We ordered the churros and they were a bit over cooked, I think. But I recommend the carnitas and either a raspberry or mango margarita. read more

The food at the Ashland location was not good. Service was adequate. But neither was as good as the Nifong location.

I would give 4 stars except for the fact that my fiancé and I were seated for about 15 minutes before anyone bothered to take our order. Others came in and were seated after us who got their food before we had even placed our order. Once we got a waitress's attention they profusely apologized and even gave us complementary cheese dip. The food itself is good and just what you would expect from a Mexican restaurant. Nothing more, nothing less. The main stand out is their EXTREMELY cheap and delicious margaritas made with top shelf tequila. I highly recommend getting one if that's your thing. Food and chips have gone downhill in the past year or so. It was much better when it first opened. The chips are so thick and tough you can hardly eat them. Really they are the worst chips of any Mexican restaurant in the central Missouri area. The salsa is ok, but don't eat here if you like edible chips. I love Megan and Jose (the owners) but they really should get a new chip vendor. They should check with some of the Mexican restaurants in Columbia or Jeff City to see what chip vendors they use. Stopped in for a quick lunch before catching my flight. Really solid! Probably the best option nearby the airport for sure. I went with the Jalisco fajitas, soo good. After a long wait to construction perfection, our hometown authentic Mexican restaurant is here! Seated quickly with fresh, warm chips, and tasty salsa. Menu is loaded with real authentic dishes of a variety too many to count. Jose' personally checked on us and most all the tables while there. After several Margarita's and chips, we settled on the Chicken Poblano, and Ranchero Enchilada. Both were served quickly, hot and very fresh.
