I was excited when I saw a drive thru taqueria. Car line was long so I went inside, prices were insane $12 for a burrito almost $8 for three taquitos with nothing else. The help was completely confused, my order was up, literally looking at it fir15 minutes while I stood there waiting. This place is a great idea with terrible leadership. read more

Our family calls it Abe's and it quickly became our go-to for fast food Mexican. The other fast food Mexican chain's locations in town have had too many problems actually being open when they advertise being open that we have come to have no faith in them. Abe's is open when they say they will be, the food is amazing. It doesn't take 20 minutes for three cars to get through the drive-thru like it can at the other place. The staff at Abe's are great, even the most reserved and quiet staff member they have is still very pleasant and friendly. Food prices are justified by the quality AND the quantity. This place is less than a block from where I work. Food is reasonably priced for taco tuesday. Just be aware that every construction worker in town agrees with that statement and if you think--"oh great, only two trucks in front of me, should be quick" Dont! I waited 30 minutes behind those two trucks. (They must have ordered for 10 guys judging from the stacks of carry out boxes) On other days, their prices are too high for mexican food lunch. I'll be traveling farther for a more reasonable / quicker lunch, going forward. read more

Was told to come here and I do not regret it. Although the building looks a little outdated, the food is fresh as can be. I got a beef taco and a carne asada quesadilla and they were delicious. Have been here quite a few times. Food is good and probably one of the closest to authentic Mexican in the area. The burritos are my go to and they have some authentic options like beef cheek or tongue. They have normal options for the less adventurous eaters like carnitas or the Cali which is a steak and fries burrito. Worth checking out. read more

the girl in the drive through asked me multiole times why did I order the wrong thing when I told her chicken nachos and she tried to give us chips and cheese and when we said what it was she said well I can't have it made now it's going to take a long time so I can't mean while it's only 11 they close at 3am. Had never heard of this place. Went online to see the origin of it. Abelardo's is legit. Someone finally moved a location into Columbia. Feels local mom-n-pop shop instead of " franchise " and nothing wrong with that. Food portions are insane. My mother got a half order or super nachos. Think "taco salad". She could only eat a fourth of it. I ate left-over nachos for two days. I ordered a burrito dinner which comes with two burritos, rice, and refried beans. One burrito with the rice and beans would be plenty. I still ate all of it and I am not ashamed. Be advised, I feel like this is not a "fast food" fast food place. It is a sit down and relax, taste your fast food and enjoy it place, not an inhale your fast food during a 30 minute lunch break, get in hurry up get out, type of place. We ordered 3 breakfast burritos at $10 each and sadly the potatoes in the burritos were all very hard and not cooked :(. We paid over $30 and had to take out all the potatoes. Sorry, honest review! The place is a dump, it might have been nice 20 years ago but there were hardly any customers, everything was still as old as when the place had just opened. The two employees never acknowledged me when I walked in. I didn't even know what door to go in. One door had a lock on it, just entering the building was very confusing. When I got my order my food was not cut in manageable sizes to eat. Everything was all wrong there's so much grease dripping from the food it was disgusting. They didn't use shredded cheese but the chunks of cheese that tasted cheap. The meat they used was extremely greasy to the point where it just tasted very fatty. They had lettuce on everything even my dessert. No amount of lettuce or chocolate syrup can disguise the gross food underneath. Also, when someone orders a cold dessert and you surround the item with whip cream and ?? Sprinkles?? Don't expect it to stay at that temperature unmelted when you stack the food in the middle surrounding it with two other hot dishes. Keep it in the fridge! Common since stuff. Ok, I'm out! read more
