I ate there today (1/2/25) for dinner. It was not good at all! The queso cheese dip was cold a clumpy. I tried the pollo gordo (large chicken). It was described as a mexican Alfredo with a sour cream sauce. It was topped with tons of lightly sauteed onions. Bleck. The dish arrived warm. The whole meal looked visually gross too and tasteless. Great place to eat! I had the Enchiladas Al Carbon (tortillas rolled with juicy steak topped with cheese sauce) and My fiancé had Quesadilla La Terraza (with steak). The chips and salsa: Chips were fresh and crispy, salsa was fresh and bright, could really taste the garlic and it had nice heat. Loved it. Enchiladas Michoacanas plate was really well seasoned. Was surprised how good the beans were. Tons of fresh cilantro on the plate. The beef steak was flavorful and not chewy. Enchiladas had a great texture and flavor. I typically would end up taking half of a meal this size home in a to-go container. I couldn't help myself and finished the whole plate. 5 hours later I'm still sluggish from eating so much but it was worth it. Will def be back! read more

We ordered carry out food. Placing the order over the phone was a bit tricky. There was a bad connection and they had a hard time understanding us. Once we placed the order they said it would be ready in about 20 minutes. We went to pick it up and there were several people also in the parking lot to pick up our food. They came to the car quickly with our ticket to pay and brought the food with it. The food was alright. It wasn't very warm by the time we made it back to eat it and the crunchy tacos were soggy at the point. I am sure it is better when you can eat it right off the grille. read more

Last week we ordered take out from the menu. It was delicious. La Terraza is a goto for Mexican food near our home. Their remodel is beautiful AND during the remodel, they added a Take Out widow. This was our first takeout-- well packaged (we ordered some saucy items) & true to the menu. The menu has a wide selection with one exception -- tamales! They would get 5 stars if their salsa tasted better! My daughter said it tasted like ketchup. Good salsa is a must at a mexican joint. It was VERY plain, yuck. I decided to try this place out because they are one of the few restaurants that serve horchatas, which I absolutely love and they even have $1 refills, you can't beat that! I ordered the Nachos Fajita which was delicious, although I should have probably ordered extra meat. So if you love a lot of meat on your nachos, I would recommend asking for extra but other than that they were delicious! However I was a little sad because i wanted to try the Asada tortas but they weren't serving them :( but I would definitely recommend this place! Nice customer service and atmosphere! read more

Looks like i have cracked the code for getting good ratings on yelp especially for above average mexican restaurant. Provide a humongous 27ounce house specialty margarita for $4 and half the battle is won! Next give me enough portion size that not only do i eat it at the restaurant but pack some for the next days lunch and snack time! Wohoo! What i have realized especially with the grilled chicken recipes in all the mexican restaurant is that they all use the same bulldozer company to make this large uniformly flat chicken. You must be kidding! Get a skillet and grill some large pieces of capsicum, onions and mushroom layer it on top of the flat chicken. Put some mediocre sauce and voila the dish is ready to be served. It was good. The red sauce was a little sweet with our cheese enchilada and the enchilada were a little cold... We ordered 3 enchiladas on the side, 2 cheese and 1 shrimp. I don't really know how shrimp is suppose to taste like, but the sauce on the shrimp enchilada was yummy. The main dish was the Texas Chimichanga (Monday's special), two chimichangas one beef the other chicken covered in a delicious cheese sauce. We shared and enjoyed it very much. Disappointing. I visited this place on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. My friend and I started with chips, queso, and guacamole. The cheese dip was lukewarm and had a skin on it. I couldn't tell if the chips were made in house. I love guacamole and I could not eat this. There was so much chopped cilantro that I gagged when I took my first bite. I've eaten plenty of guacamole, with and without cilantro, and this was just awful. My friend ordered nachos and the serving was enough to feed 3 people. The cheese was congealed and the chips were soggy. My food, too, appeared to have been sitting for awhile. I had a combination with a cheese enchilada, rice, beans, and a tamale. The enchilada was so greasy and the tamale was dry and flavorless. I won't be returning. read more
