Understanding the circumstance, but also willing to wait for the right team, I responded and asked the business to let me know if that changed in the future, as we have several projects in our home and are hoping to bring the same team aboard for all of them. I then received the attached response offering a completely different explanation than before. Rather than acting with integrity, the business elected to tell a lie, as the project was likely not lucrative enough for them. I made no reference to my budget, but the business assumed I would not be interested in paying their prices. I would like to offer a two-star rating, though, as the communication was quite prompt.

From start to finish Jody and her team were wonderful to work with--they were highly knowledgeable, professional, communicative, and responsive, and took the time to make sure everything was designed and completed to a high standard. This project is something we'd been wanting to do for years, and it came out better than we could have imagined! We had a lot of different goals for what's a fairly small front yard with quite a bit of shade: we wanted an attractive design that would reduce water use and maintenance needs, support pollinators throughout the full growing season, create a firebreak near the house, have a nice space for our kids to enjoy, and add some edible plants/berries/herbs if possible. Wild Heritage went above and beyond in delivering on all of these criteria, and it's a strong testament to their experience, passion, and deep knowledge of landscape design, sustainable planting, water management, and construction. Our new front yard has quickly become a favorite place for our whole family to spend time, and our kids love running around the path, sitting on the rocks, watching bumblebees and ladybugs, and admiring each new flower that blooms. Our 6-year-old son now asks to go outside with us every night to read on the patio and is beyond excited to pick strawberries, gooseberries, honeyberries, and cherries as the plants grow and mature. And thanks to the high-quality soil, customized drip irrigation system, and detailed instructions Wild Heritage provided, the plants are already growing like crazy just a few short weeks after being planted. We've already gotten tons of compliments from our neighbors (both on our street and some that have been driving by), and we can't wait to see how our garden grows and changes over the coming years. Fernando took the time to protect my grass from the back and forth of removing the concrete he excavated and was very careful around all the various delicate obstacles (valve boxes, wiring, irrigation, etc). My house is highly secure, and to that end I have cameras covering every square inch of it - and it was really fun to pull them up from time to time to see how the job was progressing and watch how he was able to surgically remove concrete attached to the house with a piece of heavy equipment without a single chip of the house going with it. After a horrible experience with a fly-by-night vapid company with suspected fake reviews before this, it was refreshing to deal with someone who worked so hard and was so pleasant to deal with.
