    Cracked stucco where leak was
    Bryan P.

Update: my dog went into the room Jose had just worked on and did some minor damage to the window and wall he had just repaired‍. Jose came back a few days later and touched up his previous work at no charge. What a great guy!! Thank you Jose

Kitchen. Jose repaired damaged drywall and paint where rain leaked from the microhood vent.

Professional, quality, and thorough. Tropical storm Hilary caused damage to my kitchen thanks to shoddy work from a previous contractor. I messaged Jose, had him take a look, and chose him for the project. I appreciated his responsiveness. The work turned out better than I expected. His team also went above and beyond and reinstalled the microhood and venting, and did a better job than the last guy. They also installed all the kitchen cabinets! Granted they were IKEA cabinet and easy to hang, but it was much appreciated. There was a small issue with one of repair areas, and Jose quickly sent one of his guys to fix. Definitely using him for more projects.

Painted home a true white satin and doors a satin black.

We found Jose through a neighbor. He painted our house and exterior doors very well for a good value. We did have one area of the house that he needed to come back and fix, but he did it no problem. He also was able to buy the paint for the house at a discount. Would recommend.

Jose was fantastic, he arrived ahead of schedule and worked diligently to repair the damage from a electrical panel upgrade. His pricing was fair, his response time was great, and I look forward to working with him again on a future paint project!

My first impression of Jose is he is very responsive and honest. His work is clean and i would recommend him to friend and family. He came to my house and fixed my wall in a few hours. I also noticed he used only quality material; a plus for homeowners.

New split-green living room with clean lines (thanks to Jose & Team!)

Jose & his team were beyond incredible! Professional, courteous, fair pricing, always wore masks, and can't recommend enough! Found our new go-to painters in LBC

By Jose, he painted the full exterior on my home.

He made himself available the next day and plastered the wall with a first coat. Next day he came back, sanded, added a finish coat and after a couple hours returned again to complete the finished sanding. The result was pristine. Over the years I have been doing DIY fixing of more bad spots around the house but I also work so I was never going to get around to all of it. I decided to call Luis back recently because I didn't want to do it myself anymore and I want to repaint fresh non-patchy walls. I hired Luis to reskim two bedrooms and two accent walls and some other miscellaneous spots that I added after he started working at my house. Luis was at my house for 3 half-days (1.5 in total) before telling me he was finished with the walls. I was (still) happy as a clam at that point and paid him in full for what was completed, fully trusting that the work was done skillfully based on my prior experience. (He was coming back one more time to finish the misc. stuff that I added on and I would pay for that part then.) Anyway, imagine my horror when I checked on his "finished" work and saw imperfections everywhere and tons of sanding dust still left behind on the walls, switches, and even mud on the door knobs. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves from here with brief descriptions of what's being shown. -Pictures 1-3: Some of the imperfections from the first time Luis said he was "finished." -Picture 4: His first fix-it visit(half day). He was supposed to find all the imperfections and patch them (the yellow highlighter spots), except he was patching bubbles with more bubbles. I had to patch all the spots again with my own compound and added a ton of other ones that he missed. Took me two full nights. -Pictures 5&6: His second fix-it and final visit (another half day). He was supposed to sand over all the patches and walls to leave them with a smooth & uniform finish that's ready for primer & paint. This was how I found them after he left. I sent him these pictures and told him to not come back as I had given him 2 chances to fix and he failed both times. There was no response from him. -Picture 7: I made only a partial payment of the balance on Luis' last visit because part of the remaining work was him making the corners of a ceiling overhang crisp, the corners are crisp but somehow the overhang is now squiggly when that wasn't the problem before. -Picture 8: I had taped up all my trims before Luis came as I didn't want any mud/compound to get on them, but I thought my crown molding were safe. They were not. He had busted them pretty badly with his electric sander in 7 spots and dinged them in at least 10 other spots but those were minor and I was able to superglue them back together. I did take on the repair of the major dings myself because I wanted to tape all of it up before he came back for more sanding. Luis and I had good rapport and I actually liked talking to him, but once the job took a turn for the worse, he never acknowledged that he didn't do a good enough job. He instead said things like, 1. "You're not supposed to look at the walls with a light from the side like that" and "I've never seen anyone look at a wall like you." --Yes, technically he's right, walls usually have paint on them which would have made these imperfections painfully obvious even when looking at them straight on, but until there is paint, this is how drywallers check for imperfections and fix them before they get permanently sealed with paint. (I had two painters (who also skim coat) come over for quotes and this was how they both checked to see how much prep work they would have to do before painting). 2. "I could fix these walls 10 times and something will still come up."--it really shouldn't if he did it right the first time, he's supposed to be a professional, not a DIYer like me. 3. "You've got to be kidding me. I'm at a point where I want to just refund your money and get out of this insanity"--after he came and saw all the patches I added to the walls (that he missed). I know what he was trying to imply and still gave him my electric sander to use so he could finish the job. With all that said, guess who is still stuck sanding the walls now after paying Luis to do the job and saying I didn't want to DIY this anymore. And with all these patches that I had to add to cover up his mudding imperfections/bubbles, it's looking like I'm going to end up with patchy walls again, which is exactly where I was when I handed Luis this project. What a joke. And the crown molding that I fixed up? That still needs to be repainted as well. I wasn't going to leave this review, but after several weeks and my walls still needing to be finished, I thought I would share my experience.

Aston carved out some time on his weekend to come check out the job and provide a quote. He was super upfront about what he could do and gave us recommendations even if we didn't move forward with him. He answered ALL of our questions and made us feel very at ease (especially after working with a contractor that was the complete opposite). Aston emailed me a very detailed and reasonable quote that evening and we hired him that next day. He is seriously one of the best contractors I've worked with (I work with contractors for a living so I've seen the full spectrum of good, bad, and ugly). He is super friendly and VERY communicative. I would rather have someone that over-communicates than under, because it removes assumptions from both sides. The work he does looks really great. He is extremely tidy and cleaned up the areas at the end of every day. He was able to match the old French lace texture we have over a fairly large area. His work has held up wonderfully, especially after the week and a half or rain we just had. Pictures posted are the before, in process, and unpainted finished work. HIGHLY recommend.

The longest wall in the house, the one you see from any vantage point, was covered in wood paneling that we had tried to disguise, rather unsucessfully, under a coat of bright blue paint after moving in. The wall opposite that had been covered in a mystifying checkerboard pattern of mirror and cork, which my husband had removed previously, leaving the wall surface pockmarked. We also had a crack in the ceiling that resisted patching. When we reached out to Brian, he was reponsive and personable. He started working as soon as we were ready, first diagnosing the issue with the ceiling crack and then doing a more permanent fix to keep it from returning. He was able to remove the wood paneling while preserving the wall behind so that it just needed a skim coat, and he smoothed out the wall that had been damaged by the mirrors. He followed this up with a light spray so that the texure matched that of the surrounding walls that we didn't touch. Throughout the process, Brian made sure we were all on the same page and that we were happy with his approach as well as the end result.
