to start, the owner i'm assuming went to shake my hand and warned me of his Gotti ring SMH. Took one look around my one bedroom apartment and quoted me over $5500 WTF! said he would need a week and a crew of 4-5 guys. bro i painted my apartment a few years ago myself and it took 2 days, me alone! this guy is big rip off, go with Aguilar Painting! When can you start? How long would it take? --- In what location do you need the service? --- 90701, CA, US Most quotes I received were between 3k to 4.8k. Mr. Negrini responds and says that his quote is 16.5k. All others that have given quotes also did not see the property and provided a reasonable ballpark estimate. When I asked why it's 6 times as much. He laughed and said 3k isn't high level and it's for 2 labors and 3 man crew - which is EXACTLY what I was looking for. No one in their right mind and in the current economy is about spend 16.5k. In any case, I'd stay far away from this unless you want to pay $16.5k for extra coats, and get a "high level" job or whatever that is. read more

We give the work 5 stars. The crew came out, painted our house on schedule and on budget, and the house looks great. Working with Mr. Negrini, we give one star. There are many reviews praising his honesty/integrity, so we're blaming our problems with him on communications issues. We hired a licensed contractor with the expectation of certain business practices, such as paying by check. At the time we signed the contract, our expectations were met: our down payment for the work was made by check. Not so fast. The night before the job was to end, Negrini demanded cash, over $9,000 of it. Paying by check was, to him, a violation of our agreement. Should we pay by check, he threatened to add $3,000 to the cost of the job. OK, cash. But, if you are going to demand "green money," you give a couple of days for the funds to be transferred, the cash procured, etc. No dice: he demanded we come up with $9,000 in green money in less than 24 hours. Thanks to my wife and I spending all day chasing financial institutions, we made it happen, coming home from the bank with a big sack of $100 bills. In our world, checks and cash are the same thing. We think it's because we do everything by the book. We don't know what business practices Negrini has in place that force him to demand same day cash. However, it leaves us with many questions and a sense of relief that the work was completed without incident. Awhile ago we had Negrini's Painting repaint the entire inside of our house. Anthony came out and gave us a quote that included painting all of the garage shelves and cabinets and said that he doubted it would need two coats but that he would work with us if it was needed. His head painter tried to tell me he thinks it needed two coats...but Anthony quieted him. That put me a bit on edge but since they had good reviews we figured it would still be a decent price even it it needed two coats. Unfortunately, what we ended up with was an average/mediocre paint job with drips, nails left in the walls and painted over, plug/switch covers not put back on, and was of course informed later that it didn't include the doors. We of course also needed to pay for an additIonal coat that his head painter tried to warn us of. Bringing it to the cost that was close to what another reputable painter quoted me and that I was referred to by a neighbor. Also, the garage cabinets were also not painted as promised, even though we pointed and went through and showed him what needed to be included. He offered to come out and paint them for additional cost...but we just did it ourselves. I am aware that Negrini's obviously has several painting teams, but I would not recommend the service that we received. We wished that we had paid just a bit more and waited for the painters that we were referred to by a friend. read more

My wife and I hired Negrini Painting for a total skim coat makeover on our new home. Tony came out and gave a fair estimate and assessment of the scope of the work. I would give them a million stars if I could. Our kitchen was refaced early in 2021 but we were never happy with how it turned out (it looked dull, there was no pop to the blue), then when you add in puppy teething to the corners and bottoms, you get the before picture. We hired 2 of Negrini's guys for a day to fix as much as they could and it turned out amazing, beyond my dreams. It was the kitchen we wanted from a year ago with the prior contractor but he just didn't have the skill to do! You can't even tell where the puppy damage was, the color pops, and, even though it was painted via brush vs spray, I can't find a single brush stroke. Long story short, our previous general contractor screwed us and left the job undone. Called Anthony to come and quote a paint job for a backyard project (pool house) He came by the next day. Anthony was honest and straight shooter. He pointed out all the defects left behind by the previous contractor. He estimated it would take his crew 2-3 days to complete the drywall and siding repairs and paint the structure inside and out, as well as touch up some of our areas of our house. His quote was fair and we scheduled the work for a couple weeks out as some other work had to be complete prior to paint. The paint on our house had faded after a shoddy paint job from the previous owner. Tony put us in touch with Rudy. We received multiple quotes, and Rudy not only came in the cheapest, but appeared to be the most knowledgeable as well. Obviously, we went with Rudy, and we were rewarded with a stunning paint job. When he returned my phone call (the same day!) Anthony explained that his crews were also completely booked for the next four weeks. It had been 5 years since we had our (shingled two story cape cod) house and detached garage painted by Negrini Painting. We were so impressed with the outstanding job done then that we called Tony back to have 'touch ups' on window sills and trim for upkeep. We had also removed climbing fig from the garage wall that left a terrible mess of Fig nodules and patches where some stucco came off during our removal. Tony's team: Ivan ( who we were thrilled with as he was lead on the team from 2015), and Miguel got right at it!!! They removed the nodules and completely re stuccoed the wall! Their attention to detail is 1000%! We had had our home painted in 2006 and needless to say that team (NOT Negrini), power washed one day and sprayed it the next. It looked horrible in a matter of 2 years. With the attention to detail that Negrini did in 2015 the color has never faded ( even though we did a green over the old cape Cod blue), never flakes off. It is just beautiful since they spent so much time prepping and priming. This time around we just needed upkeep touch ups on window sills and doors. Based on the Yelp reviews, I wanted his bid for exterior paint on a 1-story, 1300 sq. ft. home w/lattice patio cover (the patio got all new wood replacement and stain about 1.5 years ago, so it doesn't require much prep at all). The home is in "pretty good condition" (his comment). His bid was very high. And by "very high", I mean 2X more than my next highest bid (5 bids total). In fairness, he did say that he is usually at the "higher end" price-wise, and 2X is certainly is at the "higher end"! I feel a little bad that I wasted his time, and mine. If you have a very unique property with special requirements, or you have money to burn, perhaps Negrini Painting is what you seek. If not, keep shopping.
