Came here last minute on a Monday 630pm with my son. There are not many barber shops, if any, available this time of the evening on a Monday. Thankfully Josef was opened! Josef was very courteous and professional. He greeted us both as soon as we walked in exceeded our expectations. Not only does he have a sense of humor but he made us feel welcomed. Josef's Barber Shop is the place to get your Hair-Groove on. They're professional, family oriented and have a hosts of stylists that'll cater to you. But my personal favorite is NORMA. This is a fantastic little shop located in a shopping strip just off of the SIR-just hop off the Jefferson Ave stop and keep walking until you hit the White Castle and it's just across the street. I came there today for a full shave and they did disappoint. 8 bucks for a thorough-and I do mean thorough, to the micrometer-shave. The only reservation I have is the speed. I'm usually all business when it comes to getting a shave or haircut, but there is a more relaxed atmosphere over here. That quibble aside, this is probably the best barbershop I've been too in Staten Island so far. read more

A solid family-owned no-frills barbershop that does excellent work and is reasonably priced. I usually have David cut my hair; "he's the best" said Josef. But seriously, they're all great and I have no reservations about going with someone else if David is unavailable. These guys (and girl) are great hardworking and very decent people. I told the guy I wanted a haircut and a rinse. After he cuts my hair, he tells me "I brushed you with my brush, you're clean", and sends me off. I went to the McDonalds bathroom and washed the hair off my head. Can you believe that?! And my fade looks horrible too read more

This is a terrible barber shop. I don't know how they have been in business for as long as they have. The barber at the first seat is rude and borderline violent. (He's short and mostly bald.) He'll roll his eyes when you ask for something specific and he pushes you out of the chair when he's done. He pretty much butchered my hair. Toward the end of the shop is a woman who seemed antagonistic when I introduced myself and asked about her experience a month earlier. She at least wasn't sloppy with my hair. I will never return here and my advice is to steer clear of this horrible barber shop. read more

this is a horrible barbershop i came once before covid and once during and both times they messed up my sons hair and their prices are way too high $20 for just a simple haircut and 30 if you want to just shape your beard RIDICULOUS!!
