When I first came to Karina's Barber Shop, my haircut experience changed forever. Before, I have dealt with inconsistent hair - cuts and barbers who just don't care. The barbers here are kind, warm and caring -- they want you to have the cut that you desire and will work with you to gain your satisfaction. Detailed scissor cuts, fine - tuned buzzes and fades are the staples of this shop. Your barber is important -- their work will affect your appearance for weeks or months to come. I no longer have anxiety about wondering how my next hair - cut will look because I have faith in Karina and her barbers. Karinas barber shop might be hands down the best barber shop I've ever went to. I've been coming here for 6 years since and not once have they ever disappointed me. In my six years of coming here I'm always treated with the upmost respect and kindness that any and every customer would want. Now, I have high standards when it comes to my hair and every time I come to get a cut they go above and beyond those expectations. Karina cuts hair herself and also has 5 very skilled employees. The shop itself is very clean and modern, from new equipment to new chairs. They can do everything from a simple haircut to a beard shape up to waxing your eyebrows (which they are very good at!) Worst experience ever, I walked inside and everyone looked at me like they never seen a black man before. Then I took a seat and was patiently waiting for my turn .. then after 20 mins white male enters and sits down also. Then a lady gets done with the client she had sitting and then goes towards the back and tells another worker she can't take me in Spanish, then they tell me to wait for someone else to be done; but jokes on them I know Spanish, but I didn't say anything .Then they both look at me and she and walked into the back and then she came back out and took the white man that was there for 2 mins. Wonder if I should've waited for the male barber ? I got an uneven haircut and got charged for using the razor to line me up. Really this is a barber shop not no salon. Dirty place, people talk about inappropriate things and the woman act inappropriate to the men. I guess all in a days work for that extra buck. Maybe if they worried more about there quality they would be busy. I should've realized a shop that's open 7 days a week isn't good. Also the sign states that but they harass you with the constant reminder. I would never go back here even for a free haircut. Places like this should be banned. read more

As someone who is reluctant to visit a barber, even when necessary, it's always pleasing to visit a barber shop where I'm served promptly. The prices for a standard (male) haircut are reasonable, all things considered, and the results are competent, although the male barber could be a little more attentive. Haircuts are fine, but they take quite a long time. The four times I've gone took between 45 and 70 mins, for a man's cut. Also the dude who cuts hair is super creepy. He hangs around on the corners drinking/smoking with shady guys and they bother passerby/cars waiting to pick people up from the train stop. Bad for business, let him go. read more
