I've been going to Styles Lounge starting post-COVID and always gone to Shalom, the manager and owner. He has always given me 5/5 service but since he was away, I went to Elvis today. Elvis gave me a 10/10 haircut and service. I never had a barber who took time to explain what would be best for the client and actively made sure the haircut was perfect. Just left the shop. I originally went to look for a guy named Elvis since the reviews were raving about him. But he wasn't in so I got my hair cut from MATT. I don't regret it one bit! What I appreciated about the hair cut was that Matt took attention to the details. He wasn't rushing to get me out. I had to wait for him to finish the guy before me and the other customers had to wait for Matt to be done with my hair. To me appreciate that! I share this because I had my share of quick barbers. I hate when I have to cut small pieces of hair that the clippers didn't catch and the barber didn't take the time to fix. Matt is new to the barber game but this man has a lot of potential. The first review on shalom styles was a bit harsh i taught looking for somewhere to get a fast cut but as i pushed the point on coming to shalom styles i started to realize every single thing that review said was coming to reality gross piled up hair poor cleaning skills wait is extremely over due i didn't think i was going to come across the point of him talking about woman in a bad way until i did conversation about sexual acts towards woman during cuts to young teenage sophomores to them it was cool an funny to a 35 year old man with grandkids this disgusted me warning ! The only reason why I'm giving them 2 stars is because the young man who cut my hair was a complete gentleman who may have some potential... but it's by far one of the worse haircuts I have ever gotten. It was worth the try but will def be searching for other barbers throughout the Island. If you must go there, just make sure to use Elvis. read more

Worst barber in Staten Island i called to ask questions such as if they take credit card an if i need an appointment with Shalom when i asked the person over the phone he stated it was okay to just walk in any time i took a bus thinking everything would be totally cool as it seems on the yelp photos but it's not "poor cleaning skills there was at least 4 piles of hair just all together an they want people to just walk into all of that dirty oily hair i was very grossed out from the start but was still willing to get my haircut then besides shalom there is this other dude named moe was cutting a kids hair an it was such a choppy uneven haircut shalom stopped with his client in the middle of his cut to fix the chopped up kids hair an then proceeded to go back an forth for about 25 extra minutes then the client asked if he could not rush on his hair an then he responed with I'm not rushing man just so behind schedule so after sitting almost 1 hour 45 minutes he then ask me if i could sit with moe i said i didn't come to see moe i waited for u shalom then he reposted with saying oh I'm all booked up man i take appointments only An to top all of this off when the lady walks out with her son messed up hair the barber an he's friend was joking around making sexual jokes about the mom saying how they would love to touch her in different ways very very disturbing never come to shalom cuts worst ever read more
