BEWARE, I almost died due to sepsis as a result of the surgeon's incompetence. She had normal crowding: my wisdom teeth were impacted and coming in at 90 degrees, as well as suffering from bacteria pockets he showed me on the Xray caused by the impacting, which also caused a cavity in one of my four wisdom teeth. Knowing this, you would think I would have been prescribed antibiotics. On the second day of being in excruciating pain, he prescribed me more Hydros. On the third day, after informing the surgeon I was throwing up, I was told that the risk of infection is rare and I probably have the flu. Although he said I can send pictures, and did try to schedule an appointment, I ended up going to the ER and informed I had a severe infection and put on antibiotics. To make It even worse, when I went to him for my follow up appointment, the surgeon tried to tell me that the infection was from food getting stuck in the holes even when I explained that I had kept up with my oral care and did not eat any solid food before I went to the ER. Do not come here.

To this day, my stomach is still bulging, and it's clear the muscle repair was not done properly. My belly button looks unnatural--almost like a coin--and the hip-to-hip scar isn't even placed low enough to be hidden under underwear, which was one of my main concerns going in. At my follow-up, I was told I could get a revision after six months since my stomach was still large. I was initially told I'd only need to cover the anesthesia fee, which I was willing to do. However, when I received the actual quote, they added an additional operating room fee, bringing the total to $2,900. That's on top of the $8,700 I already paid. This is where it really feels wrong--there were no complications like infection or wound issues. The issue is simply that the surgery was not done thoroughly enough, yet I'm being asked to pay again to fix it. That doesn't sit right. Overall, the experience feels very transactional, with little concern for patient satisfaction or accountability. At this point, it honestly feels like a scam.
