Anyway, you might wonder why am I writing this... because I actually kind of like this Dentist. Are they cheap? No not at all. However, before I had insurance, they did work with me and gave me some substantial discounts which were still more than I was prepared to pay, but regardless it was a nice gesture. Oddly enough, now that I have insurance, I actually pay more than I did before I had insurance, which is frustrating, but then again you could blame it on the tariffs I suppose. Anyway, regardless of all the price gouging inherent in the business of dentistry, I actually feel like I can trust this office to do a quality job. They went into great detail explaining what they were doing, and went to great lengths to make it as comfortable as possible. I was having a tooth ground down so they could put a crown on it, which is incredibly painful, but I realized that a lot of it is much like art, sculpting the media so that the installation takes hold. I appreciate that the doctor and the technician took their time to do it right. I could even say they went above and beyond because I got a little jaw Massage after my muscles were getting so sore from keeping my mouth open for so long. That was a nice empathetic gesture. I only wish I made more money and could afford the 3 implants I need, but with three kids, in this economy, I'm just lucky I still have the teeth I have! In conclusion, none of this was written with AI. If you're looking for what so far appears to be an honest exchange in the high priced world of Dentistry, I would recommend this particular Harbour Dental location.

I asked to get antibiotics before they did any work and insisted she should get the tooth removed that day. Again , she had no pain. She is 87 yr old 98 pound frail person with a heart issues. They continued to torture her with novacaine shots that didn't numb the area and my mom was crying. They didn't wait for the numbing agent to work and with an infection, I don't think you should be messing with anything in the mouth. I asked the "dentist" to stop and she insisted the tooth had to come out. We left there with my mother in pain, more swollen and no tooth removed and she is in terrible pain last night and today on a Saturday. I regret setting foot in this sadistic practice. The "dentist" working on my mom was not either of the 2 dentists listed. I have a client that told me she went for a cleaning, was told she needed a crown and has now been in pain since they did the work on her months ago. Not only was the doctor fantastic but her staff was also over the top fabulous. They put you at ease right from the get go. I had a root canal and had not one single bit of pain including the initial shot. I am extremely sensitive to needles and I have to be honest and tell you that I did not feel even the smallest iota of pain from Dr. Tyler. She is a magician and a talented physician and I can not recommend her highly enough.

We've NEVER run into this kind of arrangement in our collective 140 year experience. One explanation, we thought, was that they couldn't hire or retain enough dental hygienists. And why is that? Are there not enough dental hygienists in St. Augustine, or does the practice not pay them enough or otherwise provide a miserable working experience? Who knows, and really we don't care. We are tired with tolerating drama anywhere for whatever reason, so we're going back to our "old" dentist in Orlando. We got two appts. about 10 days out from contacting them. I was transferred to St Augustine, and transferred care from my former dentist to St Augustine Family last year. Dr. Caggiano read my entire folder (I'm no stranger to dental work or dental procedures), even making mention of the note in my chart of my rapid metabolism and the only anesthetic that will work to numb me, and had plenty of it on hand for my first procedure. I knew that I had a prior cavity repair fail twice on my back lower left molar, but I didn't have the time to get it fixed properly. A prior dentist had attempted to repair this and couldn't manage the water from the drill, and it choked me multiple times.(Water in the lungs is not fun) First procedure: Failed cavity repair on a deep tooth way in the back that I had less than favorable experiences with. After discussing options w/ Dr. Caggiano- and my never wanting to get a root canal - we opted to crown the tooth. I'll try it one more time- on my second visit. Dr. Caggiano was very communicative during the procedure and 2 assistants worked diligently to keep the water out of my throat during the drilling with 2 large bore suction hoses running together. Their crown impressions were on point, and the temp crown held for the 2 weeks that we had to wait for the new one to be made. Over a year later, no issues with the crown and just had my semi-annual cleaning. No cavities, no gaps in the crown.

BEWARE, I almost died due to sepsis as a result of the surgeon's incompetence. My older sister had…read moreher wisdom teeth done somewhere else and had antibiotics included in her initial prescription as a precaution. She had normal crowding: my wisdom teeth were impacted and coming in at 90 degrees, as well as suffering from bacteria pockets he showed me on the Xray caused by the impacting, which also caused a cavity in one of my four wisdom teeth. Knowing this, you would think I would have been prescribed antibiotics. On the second day of being in excruciating pain, he prescribed me more Hydros. On the third day, after informing the surgeon I was throwing up, I was told that the risk of infection is rare and I probably have the flu. Although he said I can send pictures, and did try to schedule an appointment, I ended up going to the ER and informed I had a severe infection and put on antibiotics. To make It even worse, when I went to him for my follow up appointment, the surgeon tried to tell me that the infection was from food getting stuck in the holes even when I explained that I had kept up with my oral care and did not eat any solid food before I went to the ER. Do not come here.
