Every time I go in, I'm greeted by genuine people who truly care... no joke. Dr. Sheth is excellent - patient, non aggressive, meticulous, and dare I add "fun" as well? How can a dentist appointment be FUN? From the fabulous teeth cleaning, exam, and actual work performed, - it's brilliant. I overheard Dr. Elliot talk to his patient too and he seems just as brilliant. This is the best place to go for any dental issue & I'm one appointment away from completing my treatment plan. I had been experiencing jaw and tooth pain on a stay to our family retreat in St. Augustine (…read morebummer right?) I waited to see if the pain would subside, but it continued, so I googled dentists and found Dr. Daniel Haeussner on Yelp. Called and talked to Kara, who was so kind a welcoming and they fit me in the same day to see what was going on. Everything from their lovely office, to their friendly staff, to their service was top notch. Kim, my dental assistant, quickly put me at ease and assured we'd address what the issue is as she took X-rays and made me comfortable. Dr. Haeussner came in and let me know everything looked good in the X-ray. He asked if I had been stressed lately (who hasn't!? But my job has been very stressful lately) and thought I may be grinding my teeth. He asked if I had also been experiencing headaches, which last week I had terrible headaches, so much so I got a Covid test just to be sure! He did a bite test, and even when I thought there is no way this pain is coming from grinding, he was sweet and did another one just to ease my concerns. He recommended a warm compress and anti-inflammatory. I could not believe this was causing this sort of pain, so I was so relieved to hear the news! I thought for sure I needed emergency filling or root canal. My dad is a dentist in Michigan and so this was my first experience outside of family. Dr. Haeussner assured me there were no major concerns and I appreciated his honest, sincere compassion with the situation. Funny enough, we laughed how my dad is also named Daniel, and I saw the Dr. Dan of St. Augustine. Anyone who is looking for a dentist, look no further! I knew the doctor and his family personally as they used to visit and sit at a restaurant I worked at years ago. We regularly recommended the practice to friends and family because of the excellent care and personal touch. As the practice has grown, that family feeling has disappeared. What once felt patient-focused now feels much more impersonal. There have been several concerns over the past few years. While a payment issue we experienced was ultimately resolved, it was still disappointing. More recently, my husband has repeatedly had negative experiences with his hygienist. We typically schedule our appointments together and are on the same cleaning and X-ray schedule, yet his appointments consistently take significantly longer. He has often felt that much of his appointment time is spent being lectured rather than receiving treatment. At his most recent visit, the office was already running behind due to an employee meeting. My husband had an important work commitment afterward and informed the hygienist at the start of the appointment that he needed to leave by a specific time. Despite reminding her of his time constraints during the visit, the appointment continued to run long. Ultimately, he had to leave before the doctor was able to come in. Rather than reaching out to hear his perspective after nearly a decade as a patient, the practice chose to dismiss him from the office altogether. That decision was surprising and disappointing. What makes this especially sad is that we spent years enthusiastically referring people to this practice because of the positive experiences we once had. Growth is a wonderful thing, but somewhere along the way, the personal care and loyalty to long-term patients that made this office special seem to have been lost.

I had a couple cavities that I just got filled 30 minutes ago, I had to run to Yelp to rave about it! Who raves about getting fillings? This was the most pleasant experience a patient could have during this procedure. Dr. Yang is professional, sweet, and his expertise was over-the-top evident. I didn't even feel the Novocaine injections. That takes some skill, because at previous dentists (across the street from them...) it felt like some sort of medieval stabbing and hammering at my teeth and hurt so bad. I didn't feel a THING with Dr. Yang and he drilled and filled two adjacent cavities way back in my mouth. His bedside manner is calming and his assistant was on top of everything and they had a nice rapport together. The place has a nostalgic family feel with state of the art modern tools and equipment. That's the best part about family practices. Couldn't recommend this place more!
