Photos of text threads included so that Emmanuel (Owner) cannot claim that I'm being untruthful. I was given a quote by Jesse F. to have my kitchen cabinets rehung due to them pulling away from the walls. I had 5 cabinets that needed to be rehung. It appeared to me that in the contract they had misquoted me. It stated that they were only going to rehang one of the cabinets. This concerned me, so I reached out to confirm that this was a typo and that they would address all the cabinets that needed attention as I had originally explained to them. I got a response at noon the following day which was simply an updated contract with a price increase because "they miscounted originally and did not review all of the photos and messages I sent". The incorrect line item (1) cabinet was not changed either. The only change in the whole contract was the price. The job size increased 20% from what they claim to have originally quoted me, however, the price of the overall job increased by 40%. I asked where this number came from and how they calculated job totals and I did not get any good answers. From my perspective, it appears that they decided to increase the price of the overall job due to me asking a question about the typo on the first contract. And on top of that, they increased it by a markedly higher percentage. Emmanuel the owner is claiming that I did not submit photos of all areas needing repair (this is false and I have the records to prove it). I also recorded the phone call I made with Jesse F. where he admitted that this was an in house error between himself and the estimator. I would love to believe that was the case, but the line items did not change. Only the price went up. Emmanuel the owner did not help at all once I explained the situation. What he did do was offer this job on an hourly rate, which likely would have cost EVEN MORE money. I personally am a self employed contractor. If I ever gave someone the wrong price (especially if it's only off by $200), I would personally eat that $200 as a business owner to keep my customers happy and also in the hopes of repeat or word of mouth business. Overall this was a very bad experience. Poor customer service. Poor business management. Save yourself the hassle and choose a different company.

They left my house spotless. I wanted a certain kind of faux finish on one of my walls, which was the only reason why I didn't hire them a third time. I left them five star reviews on all social media sites. They only bad thing about them is they spoiled me and set my expectations for what a painting company is supposed to be. I bought a new home and wanted to refresh the main living areas. I called around and Painter Bros were the only company who would do the finish I wanted. I sent them texts of what I wanted it to look like and they said they could do it. They ignored my requests and did it their way. Whatever. I'm more mad about the two main issues here: (1) terrible work product and (2) illegal debt collection practices (e.g., I paid but he sent my account to collectuons despite having receipts and bank statements). First: Terrible Work Product 1. The paint job was terrible. They left paint transfer on my ceiling and trim. They did not go back underneath spots and touch-up difficult to reach corners on 19 foot ceilings. They also did not touch up the trim. He said trim was not included, just "walls and ceilings." I did not know "trim" was not part of a wall--Platinum Painters took care of that all at once, so I'm unsure why his contractors couldn't have at least cleaned up the marks they made? 2. The owner, "Rob" was not available on-site to do the final walk through "because they finished earlier than he thought." He does not use actual employees, these are third party contractors. In fact, I never saw him again after I received the initial quote. 3. His contractors left the house a mess, and tried leaving 6 bags of trash on my lawn for several days. I spent a ton of time removing paint off my floors (I even asked the contractors how to remove it because there was so much splattered when it was clear they were leaving me to do it), mopping, and cleaning up dust before my young children could arrive back in the house. I did not finish the survey at the end. In fact, I was distracted with this huge mess they left. 4. They damaged my walls and blinds, and then lied about it and said they were pre-existing (despite the blinds being in place, and the wall not being damaged--in fact, you can see the dry wall underneath). I had to show him the "for sale" pictures of the house showing the wall and blinds were intact. They also broke most of my switch plates and outlet covers! To this day, most of my outlet covers and light switches in the kitchen and living areas have not been replaced because I'm still waiting on him to make it right. Second: Payment Issues 1. Nowhere on the contract does it say his company is "wilsonventuresllc." In fact, if you Google it, a Nigerian company pulls up. I have screenshots of that attached. I called my Credit Union, Navy Federal Credit Union, who investigated and concluded my account was compromised. I agreed. I had to close my account which I've had since I was 14. 2. Rob tells me later, after the painting, that it was his company and that he didn'tget the deposit. I asked him what he was enrolled in as Zelle and Zelled him the deposit, and then paid the rest of the job immediately, and directly from my checking account. I attached the banking receipts to show this was paid to him. 3. He never accepted the Zelle. I have no control of that. I asked him to send me another electronic request for payment/e-payment request. He said he cannot. I told him fine, come repair my dry wall and then I'll hand you the cash. There is supposed to be satisfaction guarantee, and they damaged the walls. He refused, and subsequently initiated collection efforts for the nearly $4k that was already paid through my bank! See screenshots. Rob has subsequently refused to pick up the phone and discuss any of these issues.
