Usually the doctor's office wants to be paid for that at the time of visit. But US Dermatology in Waco did not. Later I got a bill for 111.99 for the Medicare deductible, but it had already been met by that time. USDerm will not resubmit the bill to Medicare. And now I have to deal with Medicare and try to fix this. DO NOT go to USDerm unless you really like paperwork, making lots of phone calls and being on hold. I am trying to get this taken care of - but USDerm will not help.

Unfortunately, my experience here felt much more like the latter - sending me a bill for the full amount (indicating "self-pay", no insurance) when they had in fact submitted the claim to my insurance AND already been paid for it... I know this because I got my insurance EOB, dated PRIOR to the billing statement, showing exactly that. (I also called my insurance company and they confirmed the claim had been submitted to them AND paid out already.) This sort of thing sickens me because I think of all the people who aren't familiar with the industry who just pay the bills they receive without question and are fully taken advantage of !! They've also now billed me for my "follow-up" appt; which is a joke since I spent 2 minutes with the Dr. just for her to ask "you good?" And remind me to schedule another appt. Needless to say, I will not be back. And a friendly warning to other patients - keep a close eye on your billing statements. (P.s. At my first visit, I spent maybe 10 minutes with the doctor, and about an hour+ just waiting...)

He made me feel I was a bother and had no interest in addressing the reason I made the appointment. He literally spent 5 minutes with me and took a 50 dollar co pay I will NEVER see him again and recommend everyone stay away from his doctor. He obviously doesn't give a crap about you. He's there to take your money NOT help you.
