First of all, DOCTOR SCIANNA lacks in so many areas I can't explain it Not only was a gaslit and didn't get a proper examination The doctor actually asked me what I was smoking, referring to drugs and not cigarettes or tobacco. Also, I've had a previous issue with my nose and sinuses, and that was not the purpose of the examination however, he came up to me without my knowledge and jammed, and I mean jammed (which was not any point of the examination) a Q-tip that was 10 inches long up my nasal passageway so hard and so fast I was so taken back. I couldn't believe it. 2.) he will lie he will cheat and he will steal. He is not a doctor you want to go to so I don't know where a 4.8 out of five stars comes from probably because they keep deleting, including my one out of five star review. He is a bogus doctor. He only is in it for probably patient. He thinks he can handle. Well, turns out he got a referral from my dermatologist and my dermatologist obviously knows him and told him to disregard me and gaslight me. I was very disappointed with the level of care I received. The nurse was wonderful, kind, professional, and thorough with all the standard procedures of taking my vitals. However, my experience with Dr. Scianna was quite the opposite. He appeared rushed and uninterested, giving the impression that he had somewhere else to be. I wasn't given the opportunity to ask questions or fully explain my concerns.As a result, I left without being able to address an important issue--a lump on the back of my neck that deeply worries me, especially given my family history of cancer. It's disheartening that he is the only ENT available locally, but I feel I must seek care elsewhere to ensure my health concerns are properly addressed. read more

Initially I was happy to see Joe, he was my son's football coach and we liked him! I have a serious condition and expected to get the excellent care that I thought he gave as a coach. I was wrong. He did a surgery on me and was 'confident' he 'got it all'. Well he didn't. I had 3 situations in my thyroid area and he removed 2. Saying he didn't see anything else that needed his attention. Well, it's still there, in the same spot as the first ultrasound. It's not small so how he missed it is beyond me if he knew it was there. Was he in a hurry? Who knows! Now that he was shown the results of my second ultrasound he says....NOW it's something different. REALLY??? I thought there wasn't anything there!!! Going for a second opinion to someone who specializes in thyroid disease. Should have gone there first! I need someone who pays attention to detail. read more

Very ignorant office staff. Not clear on what documentation is needed prior to a new appointment other than ID and insurance card. You have to wait at least three weeks for an appointment. I would rather travel to Iowa to see an ENT than use this office! read more

Neither Dr. Scianna or his staff were friendly during my first visit. I thought I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt (because we all have bad days) and was quickly reminded why I wasn't going to return. I called to make an appointment (as I had a rather pressing issue) and was told that they were booked that day. I asked what they had for openings the following day and was told they were booked as well. I asked if they had anything the rest of the week and was again told they were booked solid. As someone who works with customers on a daily basis, I felt that the receptionist could have at least offered to check the following week's schedule or put me on a cancellation list, but apparently that was too much to ask. read more

I am very disappointed with this practice. My son has developmental disabilities and I had received a phone call form his school that he was having a meltdown and I could not make my appointment. I called them the next day to inform them what happened and to reschedule my appointment and they said because I did not call the day of my appointment that they would not be able to see me. The office manager was very rude and would not even take into consideration that I had an emergency. I was told that because I was not the person that was having the emergency that it didn't matter, my son is in Kindergarten, So I think that my son's emergency is my emergency. She also threatened that the practice would drop my type of insurance if I called and filed a complaint. Emergencies do happen and Sometimes do to that you are not always able to call and at the office that I work at we understand that and would never turn a patient away, because they had an emergency situation. As a single mother with a developmentally disabled child, who works in the medical field myself, I would expect more from Doctor's Office. She would not even try to talk to the doctor and see if he would be willing to see me due to the circumstances, avoid this place at all cost. very unprofessional and rude staff. The receptionist was very nice. But the Office manager needs a better attitude. read more
