Thong Chu is a gem! I had a bad experience with a woman there but he has definitely redeemed the salon! He did a fantastic job on my full set with white tips. I couldn't ask for anything more! One big reason I liked him a lot is because he wasn't pushy about other services or add ons to jack up the price. He gave me all of the necessary choices but didn't try to shove stuff in my face. I was really disappointed with my experience at this nail salon. I came in with a very simple inspiration photo, but my nails looked nothing like what I asked for. The design wasn't complicated, so I was surprised by how different the final result was. The appointment also took much longer than expected, and throughout the visit the staff came across as rude and unwelcoming. I understand that not every set turns out perfectly, but good customer service can make a big difference, and unfortunately that wasn't my experience. If you like getting talked down to, this place is for you. When I asked for dip, they tried to encourage me to do gel; gel just doesn't last on my nails. Also, when I picked a color, a bright orange, the woman pulled down a polish she said was the color. I responded, no I don't think that is the same thing, the color she chose was pinker. To prove me wrong, she painted above the nail sample. I'm attaching a photo because how can you say these two are the same color? I kept saying I didn't want gel, I want dip powder and finally she agreed to it but was not happy about it. She moved so fast through the whole thing that she ended up cutting my cuticles multiple times so add some blood to this whole mess. On top of everything, they only accept cash for tips. No Venmos, no line to add for the credit card, only cash. Oh -- and the dip actually only lasted a few days before the first nail fell off. Not worth it to go here. read more

This used to be my favorite place to go. I would drive 45 minutes and they were always so kind! Once they started getting busier and hired one very rude and eems to hate her job lady (who i seemed to constantly get stuck with after) the service went far downhill! They rush through every service now. I brought my family in for pedicures and I asked for the next level pedicure and didn't get it and they rushed every one of our pedicures. People get these services to relax. A couple of times they didn't fully remove the dry skin from our feet. The last time I asked for a manicure as well as my nails done. The manicure was not done. I was over it at this point. The last time I drove for 45 minutes minutes to get there. Two people in pedicure chairs and two people working and I was asked to come back in a couple of hours. To make matters worse, the rude lady that works there is extremely rough with your hands and constantly nicks you with the nail sander. I had little cuts all around my cuticles the last time she did them. I refuse to go back. I had went to get my nails done yesterday. I walked in and asked for an appointment and they said they can do them now and I said OK so I sit down and this lady named Nina was very rushed was hurrying and very rude. She was taking the nail polish off my nails and she Hurt me a couple times on accident and I asked her to be careful and she said you wanted to do a full set instead of just a fill that would've hurt more. I'm like they can be soaked off aren't supposed to be hurting at all so the whole time she was very bossy very rude and I won't definitely go there again, she was angry because I was a little ticklish and I wasn't trying to be. I usually go every 6 weeks and they ARE working with clean equipment, clean stations and are professional giving me what I request... including what I've observed with other customer requests and results. They do shy away from credit cards (those service fees ARE high) and they don't often answer their phones when they are hopping busy. But they've been great for the 8 years I've been going so I highly question some of the other complaints made. read more

Never one to complain but oh my god?? My nails are AWFUL. I'm attending a concert this weekend and wanted the band symbol on my nail. Showed a picture and everything of EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED. And got nothing close to it. My nails look horrible and I have to go home and fix them myself after paying $48! Mind you my bestfriend and I went together and the lady literally YELLED at us to sit down because we were talking about leaving because we both had to work soon and we were tired. But no she SCREAMED at us. Then was awful to both of us. and no I DID not leave a tip. I paid plenty enough for my nails to look horrendous. not only was the other nail tech (the one doing my nails) rude as can be but kept bending my nails and making my arms be in uncomfortable positions that I told her hurt. she continued to tell me to keep them that way. Would not recommend this place to anyone. I get my nails done a lot and this was the most rushed and sloppiest job I have ever experienced. She didn't even paint the entire nail and globed on the nail polish so thick and all Over my finger. The top coat was so uneven you can see streaks down each nail. I absolutely love this place! I went in with a picture they took a look for a second and then an hour later I looked like I'd taken the nails straight off of Pinterest! I absolutely love this place. I was worried at first because someone said it was dirty? But that is totally not the case it's a beautiful facility! Very grumpy tiny woman who only speaks standard salon did not welcome me. She apparently wanted me to follow her do I did. She filled the foot bath w cold water...she gave me a dirty look when I told her. She kept that look throughout. After a minute soak in luke warm water she went at my callouses as if she was angry at her husband w a big harsh scaling teeth thing. She hit my skin and I pulled back w an ouch. She actually yelled at me in her native language and I just asked her to be gentle but she wanted to fight so I looked away at the other couple customers ver embarrassed until she stopped. Are you kidding me? It was by far the worst, roughest, rushed pedicure I have had. Half hour later I was out the door. No thank you no pleasantries, just angry looks and yelling or grunting. Never again...this morning I am in pain where she planed into my skin and most of the callouses remain. There was no foot massage ...nothing. $30...reallt? Sad read more

The male technician with blonde highlights attempted to do an acrylic fill on my nails. The full was uneven with gaps on the sides. I kept mentioning the imperfections and he would say no that's your skin. That doesn't make any sense. His polish job was hurried and didn't go to the edges and I asked him to re-do several nails. Then the top coat he globbed on the center and only streaked down the middle and again I asked him to go to the edges and he said that was my skin. My nails looked absolutely terrible. He then gave me a pedicure and cleaned my feet but never cleaned up my cuticles. By that time, I was so sick of correcting him that I just wanted to leave as soon as possible. I can't speak for the other technicians but if you happen to get sat down with the older looking male tech, just ask to wait for someone else, or leave. I went in for a classic pedi and a gel mani and they did an excellent job! They also have a very large variety of gel colors to choose from! Same prices as their local competitors but the quality of the service you receive is 110% better! Definitely my new go-to while at school. Extremely disappointing! Took my mom out for a pedicure. Our total time was 28 minutes in the chair. My guy spent a lot of time on his phone while doing my pedi. There was no foot or leg massage at all; just rubbing on the bottom half of lower leg. The salon is dirty, dusty, and the instruments were taken from person to person; very unsanitary. My daughter and I went there on 5/13/16 for a mani-pedi for her college graduation ceremony. The tech I had spoke no English, my daughters spoke some. I noticed after they were done using there tools, they just put them away and did not sterilize them. A big no no. They forgot to add the top coat to my pedi and I had to remind her. This also happened to my daughter. They went to quickly, and two nails she had to redo, because of sloppy work. Apparently they have a problem adding and subtracting my daughter was suppose to get a 15% discount being a student. She got 10%. Then they tried to short change us $6.00. Within 1 hour, both of ours nails got chipped just from getting dressed for the ceremony. The job on both of us was sub par would NEVER visit that place again.
