Incredible I went to every Jewelry store in the mall first prior, not one had what I was looking for. They had it, I went in knowing what I wanted. I didn't have to order either. Their customer service was amazing, I was looking for a rose gold chain 20 inch to replace the one I had that was damaged, and tangled from a different store. I needed it to wear my beloved pendant from Tiffany's. Both women working were incredibly helpful, and had exactly what I was looking for. The chain I got is beautiful. At a great price. No other jeweler even came close to the quality, and chain that I got from them. Plus my old chain they untangled for me, I believe it was the owner, volunteered to untangled it for me, no cost, and gave me a pouch to store it in. I'm highly impressed. I had my eye on a beautiful (but EXPENSIVE) wedding ring at another jeweler, but we just couldn't afford the price tag. One evening after looking (again!) for HOURS, I stopped in to Joe Kassab Jewelers with my head hanging quite low. The kind salesman offered me a cup of tea and then asked me to show him what I was looking for. They offered me their laptop to bring up my "dream ring" --the one that I couldn't afford from a different jeweler. Within 24 hours, Joe Kassab Jr. was on the phone with me figuring out every way possible to custom make the "dream ring" within our budget. They went ABOVE and BEYOND in providing us excellent customer service. They delivered the quality that they promised within the time-frame, and did it with humility and honor. I went here after being completely overwhelmed with other jewelers. I don't want to make this about bashing other jewelers but Joseph K Jewelers made my experience much easier than other jewelers. I came here to buy an engagement ring and the people on site were incredibly helpful and very honest. They ran me through everything I should be looking at in a diamond and beat a few other jewelers by a few thousand dollars on the ring. They also custom made the ring to my specifications in house in a very short amount of time (2-3 weeks). When I proposed, my girlfriend was completely blown away by how beatiful the ring was. She has also gotten many compliments on the ring on a daily basis (she is a hairdresser). I would strongly recommend that anyone looking for jewelry should at least go in and give them a chance. I found my engagement ring here and couldn't be happier. Robin was wonder from start to finish, she educated us on diamonds,settings, and prices. She was patience and extremely helpful and most of all not pushy for a sale. She had me try on many rings until I found my top 3! Then she brought out the bands and I knew I found my ring once trying the corresponding bands. She was amazing! They have such a large selection for such a small space. I'm writing to say that I had a wonderful experience with Joe Kassab Jewelry. I've learned a couple of things in the local, national retail, and online world of engagement rings. 1) Kassab Jewelers and Joe Kassab Jewelers are not the same. 2) Joe Kassab Jewelers are the better family run store. The KJ store tried to charge me 3x more for my platinum band then I ultimately paid for. I did not appreciate how they tried to make it sound like the price was actually a 20% discount. This was the store in LO. 3) Joe Kassab and Joe Kassab Jr (owner's son) are real people who are legit about what they do, the quality they offer, and do not cut corners with quality when most others do. To be honest most people don't know the difference between GIA AGA IGI and EGL and how they translate to how a store can offer you an inferior quality diamond but with the "same specs"s, you get ripped off. 4) I will always go back to Joe Kassab Jewelers for any future needs and not look any further. 5) The engagement ring I have is appraised at almost 40k, it's a radiant cut 2+ kt diamond with 1 ctw side diamonds, in a custom platinum setting. It was refreshing to talk to someone looked at jewelery / rings as a work of art and beauty rather then an item to sell and profit. 6) And they treated my now wife with respect and kindness rather then as a sale, that is an immeasurable positive in my book. Bought an engagement ring from them with an easy/simple "custom" setting - oh yeah, and this was all dealt through the manager, Raleigh, by the way (yeah, I put my faith in him and this is what I got in return): 1. The ring was 2 months overdue - 3+ months total of waiting - from the time they said it would of been done 2. I had to literally constantly email them, like a part-time job, to figure out what was going on, where they were at, and why it was taking so long since it wasn't done yet, which shouldn't of been a customer's job to begin with 3. They constantly spat back a bad autocad picture of literally a picture of a PLAIN setting that you can just walk into any local chain jeweler and pick up with NONE of the simple custom work I wanted - again, all I wanted was some simple, proper, custom work that should not be remotely hard if you actually have the equipment for it 4. They lied to me that all of the points I reiterated to them of what I wanted on the ring will be there when they make it despite it not being in their drawings 5. In the end, they failed to address at least 70% of the custom detailing work I wanted even though they said they would do all of it (ugh, you can't even do a knife edge or shape the end of the prongs properly?) 6. The finished product not only doesn't look custom, it looks sloppy, doesn't even fit around the diamond properly, and the prongs aren't even straight (are bent like it wasn't made to fit the diamond properly at all), and the prongs and their endings lack any shape and are not even even with each other. 7. Before they "were supposed to" ship it off to me, I even called and emailed them back to, again, reiterate for like the 100th time (super infuriating) how it's still not what I wanted... and they just played dumb, made up a bunch of random excuses to cover up why they couldn't uh do like a knife edge, etc. and claimed they "shipped it off already". The awful work bugged me so much that I had to go to a local credible custom jeweler shop to get it redone and they also told me in all honesty it doesn't even look custom. Anyways, I basically got scammed $1,000 from JosephK for a fake and horrendous job by the incompetent/dishonest manager and his staff. I now have to go and pay at least that amount of money extra to get it redone out of pocket since I am through with even thinking about going through that whole joke of an ordeal again. AND to add, I also bought a pair of diamond earrings to be put in martini prongs at the same time of the engagement ring in which not only was also sent to me way later than told to me, the earring post length and corresponding threading ended up being too short (definitely way shorter and less secure than my previous diamond earrings)... and the backing covers kept unscrewing/falling off, so I almost lost an earring twice!! I had to go buy rubber stoppers to replace the metal backings now (which is ridiculous for $$ earrings imo) since the posts are too short to fit both. read more

Beware of deceptive wording. I bought my fiance's engagement ring here, and overall I am happy with the design of the product, as is my fiance. However, I feel like we were mislead. When we were sold the ring, we were told that it was a unique band, and that once it was purchased, they would never reorder that style, and that my fiance would be the only one wearing it in the Northwest. Well, no less than a month later, we were taking a casual stroll through the mall, and what do we see? The exact same band. I mean the EXACT same band. When we went in to the store to ask them about it, we were told that they hadn't reordered it, but that the designer had brought it to the store because they had a contractual obligation to carry the band. The saleswoman was flippant and dismissive, and I personally feel she was just giving us the runaround. Needless to say,we were a bit upset. Now, if in the beginning the salespeople had been upfront with us and told us the truth, we would have been perfectly fine. We were happy enough with the ring, and would have been fine knowing that there were others like it. But it was the fact that we were led to believe by the person selling us the ring that we were getting a unique, one-of-a-kind item that led us to becoming as upset as we are. While initially excited to continue to rely on JosephK Jewelers for our wedding bands, I can safely say that after this experience, we will no longer be doing business with them. I own a beautiful CZ diamond set in real gold that I purchased in Orlando, Florida 16 years ago. I wear it when I travel as not to worry about my real engagement ring. Two years ago I was visiting friends in Portland and decided to replace my CZ with a new stone as mine seemed to lack the shine it once had . I went to Kassab jewelers in Clackamas . They charged me over $500 for a new stone and to build up the setting since they "claimed"it was now weak. I agreed and paid it. Now two years later I was wearing the ring and noticed the stone was missing! I looked everywhere but couldn't find it. Last month I was back in Portland and took my ring back to Kassab, they told me pretty much " tough luck", that I should have come in every six months or so to get it checked! REALLY? Funny they never mentioned it when I said I lived in Florida. I find it amazing that I had the ring for 16 years and had it checked once in all those years! Never a problem or a lost stone ! My real diamond engagement ring is 31 years old and also only had it inspected once! So buyer BEWARE! If they can't put a stone in without falling out I suggest going to a store that is more reputable and offers guarantees! Not to mention it was a very poor quality CZ. My fiance and I went to Joe Kassab jewelers (mistakenly thinking it was Kassab jewelers) to get an engagement ring made for me with a stone we already had. I picked a setting they had on display and added a few diamonds to accent it. When we got it back, it was much bulkier than the one on display and the gold on either side was not even. This was minor and I thought there was no reason to complain. About a month later the stone came loose in the setting. I took it back to be fixed and to modify the design slightly since I wasn't completely happy and they said they would do it until it was right. The new design would not allow for the diamonds as before and they said they could not return them which was fine. When I picked up the ring I initially loved the way it looked - the design was pretty much what I had requested. However, on further inspection I noticed that stone was off-center in the setting and that the lines weren't sharp at all. They were wobbly and you could see the etching from when they were making the mold. When I put it next to a ring I had brought in as an example the craftsmanship of Joe Kassab looked extremely poor. Plus - I had to ask for the diamonds back even though we had already bought them! read more

Kassab Jewelers understands great costumer service and what it means to make "lifetime" clients. We came here for our wedding bands and Raleigh with J. Kassab bent over backwards to make sure we were happy with their diamonds and service. I took my band in just before our wedding to get resized. They apparently found a crushed diamond and replaced it absolutely free of charge (they only replace diamonds that fall out completely under their warranty). They even resized my wedding band and engraved my soon-to-be husband's wedding band free of charge as a wedding gift to us. I absolutely love my band and so does my husband. We are so happy with the service we received from J. Kassab and will most definitely be coming back for any future jewelry needs. read more

Let me tell you why I gave them a one star review, I just picked up my wife's ring I bought her for Christmas. Its a little late. I went into the mall before Christmas and visited three different jewelers to look for a birth stone ring with emeralds. The sales lady at Joesph Kassad sold me a ring that she said was an everyday ring and that if any stones were lost or fell out that they would be replaced for no charge, just like like big jewelers do. So I bought the ring for $900.00, slightly more then I wanted to spend, but the sales lady convinced me that it was a quality ring. Gave the ring to my Wife on Christmas day and she was very happy. 45 days later I come home from work and my wife tells me that one of the emeralds fell out of the ring. I'm thinking no big deal, I got a guarantee from the sales lady at the point of purchase that the stones would be replaced, just like the big guys do. My wife takes it back to the store and the lady informs her that emeralds are soft and that a ring with a setting designed this way shouldn't be worn everyday and that the only stones guaranteed to be replaced are diamonds. The sales lady then tells her that they can fix the ring and redesign the setting so that the emeralds are safe and that ring can be worn everyday. For an additional $400.00 charge. So we did it because they had us over a barrel. My $900 ring turned into a $1,300 ring that had to be redesigned to reflect what I thought I was initially purchasing. The issue of an extra $400 dollars isn't the problem here. The problem is that my Wife now has a ring she loves and that when I see it I remember a bad experience. Also we happened to find the lost emerald before it had been reworked and they said it worthless. read more

They matched her original wedding band which has rubies and diamonds in it. They matched it perfectly and it was done in white gold to have a silver look for our 25th anniversary. We have also had several jewelry pieces repaired or altered with outstanding results. They do the work on site, unlike many jewelers that send all work out. By doing the work on site your jewelry is more secure and it controls results that you will appreciate. The diamond broke off my ring and we went to bring it in to be fixed. The sales man said there's a 90% chance this fix would be free.... When the ring was fixed we got a call that it was ready for pick up, and were told that it would be $150! I came in with an unhappy attitude (sorry!) but the original sales man handed it back and said there's no charge! Not sure where the miscommunication happened but I'm glad my precious is back on my finger where it belongs, and we didn't have to pay for repairs! :) read more

DO NOT GO THERE!! They are TERRIBLE! My 64 year old mother bought something there and ended up returning the jewelery in its original condition and found out they do not do returns only store credit for exchanges. She was lured into purchasing something else and still didn't like it so she wanted me to pick out something for myself. I went to check out their selection of birth stones and they were not quality stones. Most of the emeralds were muggy and had small scratches on the surface at close inspection. Unfortunately since she returned her item a few weeks ago, I had only ONE DAY to decide what I wanted. Then they claimed we could not get their "discounted price" since we already "got one"....which is mute considering we returned the so called "discounted item" for what we paid. So we were faced with an option of LOSING ALL $350 store credit OR paying another $150 (on top of the $350) to purchase something of poor quality. They made me the ring I wanted at that moment, beautiful, but I wanted another style at the end,went back without any problem, agreed to change the ring, the only thing they said was "we want you to be happy with your ring." and finally they did, they helped me choose a new one, very patient and helpful, the whole family who works in this jewelry are lovely! I was a loyal customer of Joe Kassab for 10 years. 3.0K ring, two 4K diamond bracelets, diamond earrings, pave' diamond ring, custom diamond band, etc. So why a one star? In all cases they stated that we had a lifetime warranty. The first time I asked for a repair on a diamond bracelet they promised it would be completed in 2 weeks. I waited and called for two months, when I went to pick it up it was not repaired. They kept it again for a week - again not done - I picked it up and took it to another jeweler (and vowed in my head not do business again.) Last week we brought in a diamond ring we purchased from Joe two years ago. I wear this ring once a month, and a diamond had fallen out - I have had the ring for two years - which means I have worn it maybe 24 times. They said the lifetime warranty does not cover it because it was normal wear and tear - that it only covers if the ring is defective? Well if the diamond falls out because of the normal wear 24 times in 2 years I would say it is defective. I am not a mechanic. I am a 55 year old executive. So disappointed in a jeweler that we put so much trust into and did not honor a loyal customer. Obviously they did not appreciate this loyal customer. Honestly they lost all of our business and referrals over a $150 repair? So sad. So disappointed. Joe you can do better. read more

I have to say that I've read through the previous reviews & I can't help but think that some folks might be talking about another establishment?! To be clear, there are other stores with similar names, but let's set the record straight: Joe Kassab is at Clackamas Town Center & he custom made my original wedding ring in 2004. It was amazing and I never had a problem with it whatsoever. But styles change, so earlier this year I decided to have the original solitaire remounted at his son's store (JosephK Jewelers) which is in the same mall, just down the way next to Nordstrom. Now, when I was shopping for the setting, I mistakenly went into a store with a similar name at a different mall (let's not get into that here) and they were a little snobby & less than helpful. So, my review is for the experience I've had with Joe (Sr.) & his son's store (JosephK) and Raleigh, who is the salesman who sold me the most recent setting. OK, now I feel safe to proceed with my rating ;-) A+++++ for the quality, their customer service, my overall experience & my likeliness to return and send all my family & friends. My ring is stunning & I get compliments everyday! Go in & see for yourself - they're friendly, helpful & not at all pushy! After making this sort of investment, take your appraisal & HAVE IT INSURED! If you have your piece inspected at regular intervals, they'll stand behind their craftsmanship. If that's too much of a hassle for you, oh well, you'll have your insurance to fall back on!
