He scheduled an appointment right away to come take a look at the work we needed to get done and he also gave us options at different price point which was amazing. The day of service, his crew came bright and early and got to work. Let me tell you, they were amazingly fast and accurate. The trees we had to were 50-60 feet and they had it cut and cleaned up in a jiffy. Once all was finished, they cleaned up a he mess and even picked up all the leaves that had fallen from the days before. Definitely recommending them to anyone looking for landscaping work. I contacted two other local tree services (one just a few blocks from our home) and neither bothered to call us. The Avina estimate was very reasonable and we scheduled them to top and prune an arbequina olive, a pomegranate, two dwarf orange trees and a Mediterranean palm. They did an outstanding job, and they also remediated our back and side yards that had become overgrown with unwanted grass thanks to the recent rains. Now we're back to bare ground, ready to rototill and level and cover with weed barrier and begin stocking the yard with container fruit trees and other edibles. Fidel and his crew showed up at 8am and worked almost non-stop until after 5pm, cleaned everything up and left our trees and yards looking 110% better than they have in years. If you need expert fine pruning of your fruit trees and other trees, don't bother to call any other service but Avina Tree Service . . . you'll just be wasting your valuable time. I was able to contact Jose and Jesus regularly. Jose and his workers started on Monday, February 23 and completed the job on Friday, February 27, including the addition of a wrought iron handrail and new Rainbird control for my existing sprinkler system. While it has been a couple years since they did the work at our home, we are still so dissatisfied…read morewith their work done. The biggest complaint was our big and hearty Japanese persimmon tree in our backyard. At the time they landscaped our backyard, the tree had so many beautiful little persimmons growing into what appeared to be another year of more persimmons than we could handle! My mom (now deceased) planted that tree over 50 years ago and we enjoyed sharing the fruit with so many friends who loved them! SGV Gardeners put mulch in the planter where the persimmon tree was. NOTE: Mulch in that planter was NOT on our contract! We watched the leaves on the tree start to wilt and die along with all of the fruit. Shockingly, the entire tree died in a very short time. We found on the internet that you should not put mulch up to the trunk of a persimmon tree or it would kill it. It was so heartbreaking to lose something so special and beautiful, not to mention something that held such tremendous sentimental value!!! In addition, they planted our hydrangeas on the opposite side of the backyard (full sun throughout the day) and they shriveled up and died. Ling mistakenly sent an email to me, intending it for Cesar, the man she works with. The message said, "I got her to close for..." and listed the dollar amount. It sounded like a "gotcha". They definitely WERE NOT worth the price paid. They also damaged an area of the finish we had just completed on our beautiful planters. Thankfully my husband noticed and pointed it out. They initially tried to deny damaging the planter but thank goodness I had had just taken pictures of the planter prior to SGV starting so they had to accept responsibility. We definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND them. I would score them -10 (negative) if I could!

One week after job completion I noticed a 26 Ft. long end cap structural separation that was caused by faulty workmanship in the load bearing portions of the base structure supporting the pavers (see photos). Renaissance Paving Inc, is a two person Glendora, home business is owned and operated by Austin J. Webber II who is licensed as a C-27 Landscaping Contractor, 07/24/2008 (Bonding History cancelled 05/23/19). There is no record of a Glendora Business License Tax Certificate on file. He can undercut any competitive bid as he has minimal overhead (no direct crew or storefront). Austin outsources his grading and masonry work to an independent crew of Hondurans with minimal contractor guidance. He pulls no permits on the job so compliance with the codes in effect is an issue. After a confirmed appointment Austin will show up in his Hawaiian shirt, Florsheim shoes and black Mercedes roadster, do some physical measurements on the job, show you some samples and give you a bottom line number. His contract invoice has no breakout for materials, sublet or labor just "Down Payment, Demo and Completion." Do read the fine print on the back of Austin's contract as it contains a "Neutral Arbitration" clause (you have no judicial rights to discovery or appeal in a court of law) if you are not happy with the job.

After meeting Austin and going over the price, materials, timeline, and expectations, I was convinced they were the ones I wanted to work with. Although they had lots of other jobs lined-up before mine, they finished earlier in another side, and asked if I was ready for them. It took them less than 4 days to complete my entire back-yard. The job was very clean and nicely done. Austin showed up multiple times to make sure they were meeting my expectations. My family and I are now enjoying our paved-patio thanks to Renaissance Paving! I'm pleased with the work product, and the excellence customer services Austin and Nancy provided. With that, I highly recommend this company.
