I have never left a physician review, but I feel obligated to warn others to avoid this practice…read more Upon entering the waiting room with my mother for her first visit with Dr. Sevilla, the receptionist greeted us with "she won't be able to go back with you. Dr. Sevilla will speak with your daughter once she has determined her care plan." We kindly explained that my mother (age 67) has a complicated history and my mom indicated she didn't feel comfortable without me with her. The receptionist disappeared and within minutes the doctor literally burst into the waiting room, didn't greet us or introduce herself, but started shouting about her credentials and that this is how she runs her practice. We were dumbfounded but humbly agreed to her demands. Then we asked the receptionst to clarify an unusual form that we were asked to sign and again she got the doctor, who this time burst in with "obviously you've never seen a real doctor" and then asked us to leave if we wouldn't sign the sketchy paperwork that we merely asked the receptionist to explain... It was very bizarre behavior--to the point that we couldn't trust her. Still in complete shock about how we were treated.

The first time she asked me about my divorce and my weight. Upon the second visit she announced that nothing was wrong with me except that I was depressed and needed Prozac. I had several questions about this (it didn't make any sense with my symptoms), but she insisted. This was after I had waited 45 minutes in the exam room, so I was exhausted and wanted to leave. She said she would see me again in 4 weeks, but the secretary told me that her next appointment was in 7 weeks and told me that was close enough. I decided to get a second opinion. The other neurologist found spinal cord damage almost immediately using a simple reflex test. Dr. Sevilla is rude, does not listen, and gave up as soon as the answer wasn't obvious. She also has a reprimand on her license for receiving illegal Botox. Please check your options--there is a real neurologist in Knoxville who will actually help you. You are worth more than this.

We were told it would be a long wait so we waited, that's fine. We then got a text message confirmation 4 months later for an appointment in a few days, except we had never been contacted to set up an appointment. No phone calls. No texts. No emails. No snail mail. So we scrambled to shift our schedules to accommodate the appointment. Morning of, we arrive 30 minutes prior to the appointment to be told the doctor is actually out and they've been "calling" patients to reschedule and let them know. Unsurprisingly, we received no such call. So we took off work, drove 40 minutes, and paid for parking for what? Absolutely nothing. Now, I understand emergencies happen. That's fine. But a courtesy call just to say "hey maybe don't come here for absolutely no reason," would have been nice. They were able to call multiple times the day before to make sure we showed up early enough to the appointment. Would this have not been a good time to let us know not to come? And if they had just found out that morning, the first thing that should have been done was call the patients assigned to that doctor for the day. We were told we would get a call to reschedule. I seriously doubt that so what am I supposed to do, call them every day to make sure it gets rescheduled? I now have to call the morning of as well, if we ever actually get an appointment rescheduled, just to make sure that doctor is actually in. I just can't believe I have to treat a specialty medical center like a small child to ensure my husband gets care. If my husband has to have anything done, I will now feel like I have to check the work of the medical professionals we are supposed to be trusting. If they cannot handle something as simple as scheduling an appointment, how can I trust them with my husband's brain?

An MRI was done but Dr Ganter told her that he found nothing conclusive so she was sent to a neurosurgeon. The neurosurgeon noted brain atrophy from the MRI but couldn't answer her questions and sent her back to Dr Ganter. From there Dr. Ganter started throwing diagnoses at her like she was a dart board. He sent her to a multitude of specialists all of whom sent her back to him. My mother lost faith in Ganter and ask the office to give her a new Dr, they refused. There was no discussion about her concerns and they never asked another doctor within the group to help evaluate. Fast forward to today. We move her to FL and she met with Dr Singer at Miami University Neurological Center. Within an hour of physical evaluation and reviewing the VERY SAME MRI, Dr Singer gave her a 100% confident diagnosis. Though it's not good news, at least we know. If you or your loved one isn't getting the care you deserve, do your research and get out of this group. Otherwise you'll spend the rest of your life wasting time and money.

I got there at 8:52 and the front desk lady had a nasty attitude, as I begin to check in she said real nasty you were supposed to be here at 8:30 I said ma'am I'm a nurse and I had to work over so I apologize but that's my job. Well we can't see you she said so you'll have to reschedule so I went ahead and let her reschedule me but I will never be back I won't come back and I will not recommend this place to anyone because if your front desk people treat you that way just imagine how the doctors is going to treat you.
