They all asked how my new baby was which was nice. The dentist. Seriously, the most gentle I've ever been to. He is so delicate but you can tell he's still doing the work that needs to be done. Some dentists just don't care and are so rough. I've left other offices with my gums so sore and bleeding because the dentist wasn't gentile. Not the case here. Scheduling was pretty easy. I was able to schedule a new patient exam appointment online within a week timeframe. Once booked you receive a confirmation via email, and will most likely receive a confirmation call the day before as well. The dental office is located in a small plaza with plenty of lot parking spaces. I was welcomed with a friendly greeting and given a few new patient forms to be filled out. The entire office is friendly and knowledgeable. Appreciated the communication from everyone - front desk receptionists, the X-ray tech, Dr. Sharma, and the dental hygienist. Yup - I lucked out! They happened to have an opening for a cleaning so I was able to get both my exam and cleaning performed on the same day. Glad to have found a great, new dental office!

The technicians cleaning the teeth are good, but for dental work stay away. I've had problems with onlays and crowns falling off, the most recent crown right before Thanksgiving 2025. When I went back to re-cement the lower crown, the dentist noted that it was "the wrong kind of cement. See how it's flaking off," he said to the assistant. Then they left me in the dentist chair for about 40 minutes, and the office manager came in with a card reader, and presented a bill for $250 to reattach the crown. "Didn't I just have this crown put on?" I asked. She told me it was an old crown, done in 2017, so it wasn't covered. Since we were going into a four-day weekend I relented, but when I got home I went through my dental records - that crown was only 22 months old, so I felt I was misinformed. But the worst part is that I was sitting in the dental chair for almost 2 hours, listening to the grinding and filing in the next room. Yet I did have an appointment. And after that tortuous visit, the newly attached crown still felt too high, painfully pressing on the molar above it, because the harried dentist didn't have time to ensure a proper fit. Meanwhile, 5 weeks after being reattached, the crown has already fallen off, but I won't be going back to Central Coast Dental. end

Remarkable Dentist and Staff - Compassionate, Skilled and Accommodating…read more We can't say enough about the extraordinary experience we had with Dr. Dodson and his staff. When our 101 year old Mother's denture's broke on a Sunday, we were not only worried about how we would get them repaired but also about how we were going to navigate her ability to eat without them. Also we weren't sure how we were going to manage it without putting her through the stress of a trip to the dentist. Amazingly Dr. Dodson was able to repair them without having to see her. We were lucky to find him, especially since he has a lab on site. Understanding the urgency, we were able to drop off the broken pieces first thing on Monday morning. He worked on them in between patients throughout the day. By 4:30 pm, he had them looking and functioning like brand new. The repair was perfect and no adjustments were needed! Dr. Dodson and his phenomenal staff were very compassionate about our situation and went above and beyond to help us. For that, my Mom and our family are deeply grateful!

Eric Brown in Mid Valley came out head and shoulders over any other dental practice, so we took a look and then took the plunge some 4 years ago. After many visits (too many, but I have British teeth... yes, it's a thing), I can't point to a single visit that either my wife or I had that was anything but positive. While at other dental offices in the area the head dental practitioner saw me for only about 2-3 minutes and was adamant that I need to replace my crown soon (s/he not to be named), Dr. Shin took the whole first hour going over my paperwork, gathering data about my teeth, and asking me to explain my current dental concerns. He even threw in some well timed jokes, and with every detail about how to promote good dental health, he made me feel like family. The good news is that I had no cavities, the bad news was that I needed a deep cleaning (the next hour) but would only be charged for one quadrant ($90 and a step beyond preventative care. $60 with insurance coverage). He even talked with me about the options of night guards for teeth grinding and showed genuine concern for improving the jaw / pain discomfort. The dental hygienist had great technique but average bedside manner. Also, something may have been wrong with the water pick because I was getting water all over my face! However my teeth were good as new after her stellar work. I highly recommend Dr. Shin and his staff. They are also transparent about pricing and honest about what goes on in the treatment and in the office back end (billing, insurance etc)

Getting through to the front desk was a bit difficult, but not impossible. Parking is easy. The office is clean and has a Keurig machine and magazines in the waiting area. Wait time was not too long. After the initial visit and exam, I scheduled my cleaning and a chat with the doctor about plans to move forward. It will be an additional visit to complete work, though Dr. Lehr did ask if this would work for my schedule. Overall it seems like a great office, though I am still a bit leery after my husband's insurance issue.
