However, if you need a church family, warmth, and connection - pcc may not be your place. The pastor never once said hello to me after service - in 1.5 years. I am a mom who went alone with my daughter and I really needed to feel connected and accepted and welcomed. I felt almost as alone and invisible there after 1.5 years as I did the first day. I emailed the pastor about this, and he didn't respond to my email. So yes they have fantastic sermons (which you can watch online) and great music. And I did make a solitary friend or two. But for me at least - that was it. Visited another local church the past few sundays. the pastor greeted me warmly on the 2nd visit. I've gone 3 times and so many people have come up and introduced themselves to me - it was fantastic and heartwarming. So I've left pcc. I don't think anyone noticed.

I had two…read moreyounger girls who went into two different Sunday School classes (meaning I didn't consider it child care, but their version of going to church). The Sunday School teachers are volunteers servicing the church going community--not hired professionals. My girls were told not to leave the room until I picked them up and they were able to follow my directions. If a family has a child with special needs (or a child who is at risk of not staying inside the room until you sign them out) then perhaps a babysitter should come along. Or, contact the church ahead of time to ask for a shadow volunteer to be one-on-one with your child? This church I have found to be very loving and family-like and I could imagine someone would welcome a family with needs and assist them with their child's Sunday learning. Finally, I would be disappointed or concerned about my child running out of the room on their own. I don't think the fault lies wholly on the church however; if a child is unable to follow a serious safety rule, the parent should take some responsibility for their child's actions. I read Autumn Y's review, and instead of trying to articulate my comments I will simplify by saying I agree 100% with everything she wrote. I will only add that the worship tends to be 1/2 long which makes the service a little longer; but if you love to sing and love music and love to give God glory then you won't mind at all!

It's where you will find normal people learning to pray, coming to faith, struggling with temptation, finding new purpose, and getting in touch with His power to carry that purpose out. I really enjoy the main pastor's delivery which often includes storytelling, historical context, and an explanation of the actual scripture language used. That may be my favorite part boiling down ancient teachings to terms that are easy to understand. Should you decide to get more involved, there are many different ongoing service opportunities. They actually will support you if there is a cause you care about and want to start your own service initiative for others to plug into. Last, if you have kids, there a two different rooms to drop them off to do crafts and activities that vary by their age. Branches is a good group people up to great things. Definitely worth checking out if you are on a "church search."

The head pastor, Chris, is young, smart, witty, extremely knowledgeable and makes you feel welcome. The youth pastor Casey is terrific, engaging and gets to know every student and their family. My daughter and I have become more involved over the past two years and love volunteering and being part of the church family. But I haven't ever attended Episcopalian and I guess today was the day. Unfortunately, due to inclement weather, the beautiful service was lightly attended. No matter: nice, friendly congregants, lovely music with a fabulous soprano singer and a lively multi-lingual female officiant who spoke movingly and sensitively from the heart. Normally, this church has an 8 and 10 a.m. Sunday service in English and a 12 noon Spanish service. The parking lot is small but there is street parking and Max Berg Plaza Park across the street with a lot. I am so used to the mega-church I usually attend, but then these smaller places utterly charm me too. The rustic building is designed along the Spanish-style, red tile roof decor commonly found in San Clemente. I admired the real holiday wreaths and draped pine greenery decorating the sanctuary. Check St. Clement's out for yourself.

Pastor John Randall is a gifted teacher. He displays humility and his knowledge of the bible is amazing. He teaches so you understand the Word. His wife Michelle Randall is a brilliant leader and teacher in the Women's ministry. Both Michelle and John have authored books. Their commitment and dedication to the church is unwavering and consistent. The worship team invites the Holy Spirit into the atmosphere. There are wonderful ministries and resources available to all ages. I feel blessed this is my church home.

Beautiful church with a dedicated pastor whom I've had the pleasure of meeting several times. Twice as a guest speaker at the church that I attend Calvary Chapel Golden Springs in Diamond Bar and also when Pastor John Randall was our tour guide speaker in Israel. The service was great and I enjoyed the study. Almost everything pertained to what I was going through that day. So what he spoke about really helped. Nice personal touch on how everyone is really sincere on greeting you like they've known you for decades.
