No doubt the doctor is helping a lot of people, and doing a great job of it. I'm sure his current patient are grateful to have access to his support.

A friend of mine highly recommended Dr. V to me because I had a multitude of little issues that a doctor (who did my physical for my life insurance) told me I have. He said I had things like thyroid imbalance, Vitamin D deficiency, etc. With two young children, I started to worry that if I left it unchecked I could become really sick one day. I felt a responsibility to my children to get answers, so I called and made an appointment at Regenera Medical with Dr. V. My first appointment with Dr. V was more than an hour long. During that visit, I quickly spit out my medical history, because that was what I had become accustomed with other doctors - who would often cut me off and were almost always dismissive. Dr. V's super cool and calm manner helped me relax and for the first time I felt like I was really talking to a doctor who was actually listening and caring. I had never been to a doctor where I didn't feel rushed because he/she had to get to his next patient. I could see I had his undivided attention. Towards the end of the visit, he drew blood from me (himself!) and ordered a very thorough set of blood tests in order to find out what was really going on with me. I came back a few weeks later to get my results, only to learn that I didn't have ANY of the issues the other doctor told me I had. I was so relieved to know that I didn't have any significant medical conditions. I would have been happy to walk out of the appointment then, but Dr. V still took his time to walk me through some suggested practical lifestyle alterations to help me maintain my health and feel energetic throughout the day (not easy with two little kids). I read his website and learned that he can even tell you if you might get Alzheimer's, and can suggest ways to slow down the development of the disease, or avoid it altogether! Kristina and Vanessa sent forms and prepared ahead of time. The extra 2nd star is for the office staff. I filled out probably 7-8 detailed forms and had to wait 1.5 months to see Dr. Schechter. The day before my appointment I was notified for MBS (mind body syndrome) / TMS patients there's an extra $130 or 150 (I forget exactly the price) you have to pay out of pocket that's NOT covered by insurance. During the zoom appointment Dr. Schechter was 20 minutes late. He didn't review any of my files and just started reading them right there. Prior to our appointment I was really excited to finally get his diagnosis. I had sent a very organized 100 word summary of my conditions and what's I've tried so far.... and that wasn't read either. During our call, he cut me off several times and ask questions that I had been asked 100 times already by other practitioners, questions that easily would have been answered if he read my summary or any of his forms that his office had asked me to fill out. Towards the end of the call about 10 min prior to our 1 hour time, he was rushing to leave while I still had a lot of questions. Interesting considering he was 20 min late. I learned 0%. Nothing new. It was disappointing, being in pain for so long, hoping someone can help you. After this I sought other methods of help and the Mind body stuff really didn't resonate with me anymore. I still believe in Dr John Sarno's work. There are other mind body doctors that do well but they are out of state (CA). If you're reading this now, I wish you luck in your search. After two separate consultations, each about two hours long, I was stunned when the doctor began our third visit by asking, "What brings you in today?" as if we hadn't already spent hours discussing my concerns. Instead of using that time to review the test results he'd ordered, he spent another 30 minutes at a cost of $350, offering little clarity. It left me with the impression that the practice is more focused on billing than on actually helping patients. I've since spoken to others who had similar experiences, so this doesn't appear to be an isolated case. I had hoped the office would have addressed this pattern by now, but unfortunately, it seems ongoing. Sharing this in hopes it helps others make a more informed decision.

They have yet to ever contribute to doing their job. Every time I ask the simplest of questions, I've been given the run around and never called back or even responded back in a timely manner. They charge an arm and a leg for everything. They had the tendency to nickle and dime you for everything. They even impose a 3-4% charge for using credit cards. I've never heard of any establishment imposing that charge other customers or clients. You offer payment options as a convenience to people for your services. Staff is absolutely useless in accomplishing anything and huge revolving door here. At first I thought it's the staff then I realized it's the employer himself that is imposing all this as well as allowing his staff to be so inefficient. I can't waste my time or money here any longer. Please spare yourselves the time and money and go elsewhere where you are treated with respect and you get what you pay for. Never returning again. You leave multiple messages for the doctor to contact you and he never responds. The staff hangs up on you as you're still talking. It's really sad how these practices get away with this type of behavior.
