They arrived on time, were very professional and hardworking, super friendly and had a very thorough understanding of construction, landscape, irrigation and all varieties of plants and trees. Joshua provided us with a yard design that exceeded our wildest imagination. This company is a complete ripoff. They left! In the front of my house a 4 x 20 foot deck railing that I paid the dump fees to be removed and they never did. It's still there. I was charged for hundreds for joist duct taping to be secured to my deck and it never was...The office staff communication with the homeowner is horrible. Never again!!!! read more

Unfortunately we had a very bad experience with this company. We had high hopes. We were told lie after lie and never got our job finished. Claimed he was a landscape architect, but he is not. paid $1,100 for useless plans that took over 18 months to get. So far we have contracted Joshua Tree for tree services twice. Wes showed up to estimate both jobs, and he seemed very knowledgeable and informed. His estimates were reasonably accurate, and the advice he gave us was helpful. On the first job the crew showed up on time, even though I understand they came up from Camp Verde. They did a great job of clearing the trees of dead wood, trimming the trees, and cleaning up the site. It was fun to watch them working aloft, as they seemed to relish their work. We left part of the property for later because we wished to pace our expenses, and the company was completely understanding. The crew on the second job was also on time, and they did a great job of clearing the trees of dead wood -- these were a different set of trees. They did a haphazard job of cleanup, though. Our next door neighbor alerted us to branches in his yard, and we called the company. The dispatcher immediately called a crew member and had him turn around to clean up the job on our property. He did so cheerfully. Even so, I found small branches around the property for several weeks, especially after high winds blew through. I'll take the first experience over the second. I have yet to invest in any real landscaping, but for candidates in such a project, I'll probably contact Joshua Tree first. read more

Their quote came in way lower than the other company that bid on the job, and the team was excellent all the way through. Wes came out to our property twice to discuss the project, clearly educating us about our trees and what could be accomplished. Chris and Aaron were the superb climbers, going high up with rope lines for the actual limb and trunk cutting, while John supervised and operated the cherry picker, and Mikey provided reliable clean-up throughout. They were efficient, timely, and respectful of our home and our neighbor's properties. They did an excellent job cleaning up all the debris, and the final result is truly transformative and breathtaking for our daytime red-rock views and the full canopy of stars at night! We went to a few properties to examine his work and were so impressed with the way he made the installations look like part of the natural landscape. They really were unparalleled in their beauty. He steered us away from trees that were going to disrupt our water supply and overall had a great wealth of information to offer to get our property suggesting plants that would survive and be low maintenance and rethinking the space in a way I wouldn't have thought of. I am new to AZ and so don't know anyone so I called 3 landscape companies to come give me a bid on removing some cactus in my front yard. The guy from Joshua came and gave me a bid. Then the other 2 came and Joshua's bid was like half of what the other 2 wanted to charge me. So of course I called Joshua and told them I wanted to go with them. I was told they would call me to set up an appointment and guess what. I have never heard back from them. That was 2 weeks ago. Guess they decided they made a mistake on the bid. STEAR CLEAR of this company! My husband personally told the crew which trees were to be cut and which were not to be cut. They didn't listen. The crew dragged large branches directly over potted plants and new shrubbery leaving plants completely cut in half and a brand new Mulberry bush was flattened. I couldn't believe when I saw that happen I didn't get help fixing the plants nor an apology for them being so sloppy. We have used Joshua tree landscaping twice now. They have removed four large trees and have trimmed up seven others. Wes provided us with very fair pricing on both occasions. The team was very professional and I was happy that they are licensed and insured. (Tree trimming is something that you should never go through an uninsured company). The trimmers climbed into our trees to get them topped of properly. The debris was removed and the foreman would not leave until everything was done to our satisfaction. Do not use this company if you want to get what you pay for. Crews didn't show up when scheduled, managers unresponsive to complaints, staff uninformed, unprofessional and constantly complain of being 'too busy' to respond to requests/inquiries. My formerly beautifully manicured property left in complete disarray during my 3 month absence. The invoices certainly kept coming, but the work wasn't being done. According to their website, they claim integrity and 'doing unto others'...if this were true, they would provide services contracted and paid for. And when you ask to speak with the owner (after leaving numerous voicemails & messages with supervisor and office staff), it takes him a week and half to respond. Then chastise yu for not calling sooner. This is NOT a company that stands by its motto and should be avoided at all costs! read more

Do not use this company. I used them a year ago, they did an OK job but it was done in bits and pieces with cancels and reschedules. Now a year later I tried them again. After receiving an estimate and paying $725.00 down they were very slow to schedule the work and ultimately never did schedule the work. One month after cashing my check I called for a schedule, they didn't return my call. Called three days later to find out that some crew had quit and they were waiting for new crew member in a week. No idea when I would be scheduled. I cancelled the work and had to forfeit $140.00 under the terms of the contract. They weren't too concerned about fulfilling their part of the contract but was very sorry about keeping my money. Don't waste your time or money on Joshua Tree & Landscape. read more

This business is very busy we put a deposit down $$$ . And waited about 3 weeks , in the mean time the last wind storm pushed the trees that needed trimmed in in to the roof line an tore up some shingles no worry ? We paid a guy $$ to come cut the trees back. Called this business they said we are in the Q ? To cut down the one big tree. A week later a crew showed up to cut down the tree. Awesome job I have to say. Good worker's all of them . But when it came time to remove the stump they were going to pour round up on it ? We have to have it removed.More $$ We have a 2 yr old grandson that comes weekends an the air conditioning is right there.flustered. We are in the Q again to get a quote on what that will cost. It's been almost 6 weeks from start to ? We still haven't gotten that appraisal more money before they come an give us an appraisal ??? I know this is not the way to do good business. Very disappointed with their service. When asked to do what I had understood needed to be done, the contractor said, well of course, as long as you pay more. Did things unnecessary, did not make use of existing structures, owner did not listen to customer, put burblers 3 inches high right next to road so that vehicles ran over the burblers and broke them, did not provide water to trees or vegetation as agreed. read more
