Josie's is consistently delicious! A go-to Sunday brunch spot for our friend group. We love the southern-kitchen feel of the restaurant, every one gets a different mug for their coffee and it makes you feel right at home. The service is hospitable and welcoming, and while there is usually a wait on Sundays, it's always worth it. Great comfort food spot!

I haven't posted a review of Josie's in many years but I come here regularly again. I truly love their Country Club and it is the best you can get anywhere. It is definitely my favorite thing on the menu and the country ham is the star of the show! They have many other great options as well. I did eventually start coming here for dinner and then they stopped serving dinner shortly thereafter. I'm a big fan of the neighborhood diner!

As you can see, very basic breakfast. She only liked the eggs and potatoes.

I was not a fan... Their brunch was basic not a lot of options. And pricey for things I could cook at home. When I go for brunch, I look for things I can't cook at home, that are unique and different. I did not find this menu have any of that. Honestly, I don't understand why it's such a hit. Food is nothing special by looking at the menu, and priced higher than I think it should be

My friend asked me to go to Josie's for the Friday night Prime Rib Special. It's a good deal at $19.99. You get two sides. I selected the mashed potatoes and the cauliflower au gratin, which was very good. The place filled up fast, most having the special. Get there at 5PM. There were people outside waiting to get in. 20

I've been wanting to check out Josies for years and I finally made it there. It was everything I hoped it would be! The decor was super cute and the food was delicious. I tried the Josies Dad omelette with breakfast potatoes and biscuit. Yum! It was all so good. The menu had so many options, so I can't wait to go back and try something else.

Josie's was a great spot for brunch while visiting Lexington. My sister-in-law loves Josie's and I can see why. The restaurant is set back in a cute little shopping area so save time to explore. Being in a shopping center, they have a large parking lot in front of the restaurant which was convenient. On a weekday morning we were able to get a table right away. I'm told that on the weekends there is usually a wait for a table. The Trio Salad was a delicious combination of chicken salad, pasta salad, and tuna salad. All three were very good. My favorite was the chicken salad. It had a really nice flavor that was a little different than most chicken salads. It wasn't sweet like some chicken salads can be. The pasta salad was tangy. The portion size was generous and I had plenty to share with my toddler. The little blueberry muffin on the side was also yummy. Our whole group was happy with their meals and I'd love to return on my next visit to Lexington.

While on vacation here in Lexington we were looking for a homey place for breakfast (they also serve lunch and dinner)We came upon Josie's restaurant and were happy we did . On arrival we noticed all the tables were filled but luckily we were quickly seated and placed our order. The interior is kinda old fashioned , rustic , clean and comfortable. The staff was very polite and friendly. We ordered coffee, scrambled eggs with sausage , a biscuit and side of potatoes. The sausage was delicious ,biscuit was light and fluffy but a bit salty, otherwise everything was very tasty and well prepared , we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast !

With it being National Waffle Day, I knew I need to celebrate with a waffle. I am happy that I chose Josie's. I sat at the counter. While I am average height, I seemed to be the wrong height for the stools. If I sat back, my thighs seemed to spills over the sides of the stool. When I pushed forward for so my toes touched the ground, it was more that I was perched on the stool. There appeared to be 1 server for the counter area and she seemed a bit overwhelmed. As you can see from the pic, my waffle was beautiful! It smelled so good!! The strawberries were fresh. The whipped cream was fresh and even the butter tasted amazing! My taste buds were definitely doing a happy dance.

We were in Lexington on vacation. They have lots of gluten-free options, so we thought that we'd give it a try. This is a cute place. The service is excellent. This place is located deep within a strip-style shopping center. It was a nice fall day, so we ate outside (don't expect it to be scenic - the tables are in the parking lot). The coffee was good and plentiful. I had a southwest style omlet with avacado and salsa. It filled the plate and I was stuffed. This will be our go-to place for breakfast the next time we're in the area.

A Lexington institution, a stones throw from my daughters apartment, so we tried it out. It's a nice cozy restaurant, though very busy. There's tables, booths and a nice horse shoe counter. It was quite busy and it would have been quite a wait but a couple spots opened up at the counter as we walked in. The coffee, well it was coffee but better than what you'd get at the office. The selection was typical breakfast fare, omelets, pancakes, eggs Benedict, granola, grits, biscuits and sausage gravy and such. Though some dishes had unique names they were pretty pedestrian, like the Tijuana two was just two eggs with a side of pico made by some guy named Fernando. They did have a pork chop entree which looked intriguing. We stuck with the classics, omelette and eggs Benedict. Yeah, I've mentioned it before but there is a flavor ceiling with breakfast food. Yeah it was good but really just okay. It's a nice little diner with a lively atmosphere, they serve lunch and dinner too, so we may return to try those.

Went last night for Restaurant Week...very disappointed. House Salad is more than basic...no cheese (asked if that was intentional, it was), Pork Chop was thick but bland, sides were also underwhelming. My mashed potatoes ok but my husband's fried zucchini & onions was way slimmer a portion we had ever seen. Garlic bread didnt make sense to me. However, sweet potatoes & pecans were good minus the pork chop juice. Banana Pudding was good but was a literally spoon size portion.

We had reservations but ended up getting there early and just had our dinner at the bar. We both had cocktails which we enjoyed along with the deviled eggs for an appetizer. The eggs were okay--a bit spicier than I would have preferred and I would probably try a different app next time I go (there will be a next time for sure!) My shrimp and grits were great but honestly the bourbon glazed wings that my fiance had were the show stoppers. Large sized wings that were smoked perfectly with the right amount of crunch topped with a sweet but not too sweet bourbon glaze. I will definitely get those next time I go. The vibes were casual and chill--the perfect place to pre-game before a game or event or the perfect place to meet friends for a drink. I'd definitely recommend!

For food, we had a mix at the table: fish, steak, and burgers. The fish was off. The texture was strange, almost like the skin had been left on even though it wasn't, and it had a fishy taste that just wasn't right. The burger, on the other hand, was very good and easily the best value of everything we tried. If I ever go back, that's probably what I'd order. The biggest disappointment was the service. Our server clearly wasn't having a good day, didn't seem interested in us, and let our drinks sit empty long enough that we had to wave him down just to get refills. It really took away from the experience. I'd give the place another shot, but if the next visit ends up feeling like this one, it'll probably fall off my list of places to go.
