Food is always good here, especially breakfast. Sometimes things run slow because it's a small locally owned restaurant and it can get busy but on the whole they do a great job. They've even been recommended and runner up by Best Of Lexington for best breakfast in town 2023 & 2025 (it's noted by emblems on the entry door). I love that if you have a problem with your food the management will make it right. You just have to let them know. No one's perfect but they really try to make it right. I love the ambiance inside and the outdoor seating in spring and summer. Good place to bring the family. I'm thrilled there are still local places like this one in Lexington that really work hard to give its' best and work hard to keep their doors open in this economy now days. It's not easy as we all know. We need to support our local businesses and cheer them on like this little gem. Nice little brunch spot, with plenty of options, but it does get busy and inside can be a bit crowded if the weather is not the greatest. Nice weather is perfect for the patio area, especially because you still get shade from the trees when it's hot. Lots of food and drink options, and they have some fun specials at times, it really just depends. Bourbon roll was delicious, blueberry muffins were nice. Their sausage gravy is pretty good, but it seemed to be missing something flavor wise. I ended up trying the Pharoah, which was deliciously baked potatoes and eggs, rye toast, and guzzling my coffee. Cute little locally owned restaurant that I was excited to visit. Bourbon Bun was great! Coffee lukewarm. Rest of food was flavorless and lukewarm. Server never stopped to ask how our meal was. I left an honest and not harsh review on fb. The owner suggested I should cook for myself at home everyday instead of eating out. What a strange restaurant business model to tell folks to stay home to eat! I love trying new locally-owned restaurants! It is enjoyable having people cook and clean for me. Will definitely spend the money elsewhere now. By the way, fb comments were 50/50. Some agreed the food and service are subpar. Regulars said I should have "flagged down" a server to have them remake the food. Sorry, I don't wait ten minutes to flag down anyone to make a scene about bad food. If the servers aren't trained to make sure everything is going well. Then I just leave and don't come back. I was on a mission to find a local breakfast eatery that just can't be found anywhere else. My search led me here to the Tack House Pub. I arrived early on a Sunday morning and was pleasantly surprised to get seated right away, given that there's very limited seating availability. Cozy setting with friendly staff. I ordered some coffee, along with 2 eggs and 2 stacks of pancakes, and some bacon. It definitely did not take long for the food to come out. This place seemed to run like a well-oiled machine, keeping customers fed and leaving happy and full. The food was delicious. I must say that the pancakes had the softest, fluffiest spread of butter that I've ever had. It was a whipped butter that blanketed the pancakes to perfection. Definitely ranks as some of the best pancakes that I've ever had. That being said, however, I'm just not a big fan of the syrup container, as it just never seems to be enough. I had to make due as I couldn't really get the attention of the server to request another one, but it was totally fine. I'm just more of a fan of syrup containers at the table for customers to drizzle on the perfect amount. A great visit, with great service in a great atmosphere. As I was leaving, the list of waiting customers was growing. I had overheard a party of 10 that had called ahead to request a table. I can't even imagine how they were going to make that work. Definitely a good idea to call ahead to see if there is a wait and perhaps get your name added to the list before showing up. read more

My husband ate his..but the eggs that were ordered medium well came out very over easy..the white was still raw. Recooked not once but twice. Talked with manager/owner. This was takeout during COVID 19. I got the breakfast burrito and pub fries. The burrito contains scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, and vegetarian refried beans, though I'm not sure what that means--I couldn't really tell they were there. It was a basic burrito and the tortilla was well grilled. The pub fries were basic breakfast potatoes, a little stale, but honestly, it's takeout, and would have probably been better in house. Meal probably could have used a little seasoning. Did come with sour cream and salsa. This place has a pretty wide variety of breakfast foods, including omelets, egg breakfasts, pancakes and waffles. What a small gem!! Such a quaint restaurant. We went after church around 9:30 and they already had a 20 minute wait, so that was a great sign. This is a quaint little coffee shop with so much more. The food is amazing wether for breakfast or lunch. They have special on there Lattes. Love them! Staff is southern friendly. Which is all good! I just landed and this is the first place we came back to. I have to add that they added dinner to there day. The menu looks interesting. The prices are really reasonable. Shrimp and grits for the app looks tempting. I'm still a breakfast fan but open to trying the dinner menu soon. I love the small quaint size of this place. It's very inviting and a warm atmosphere. It's around the corner from my daughters so it tends to be our go to breakfast place before I head back to RI. I'm here every few months and I've never been disappointed . Quaint little place, serves just breakfast on the weekends. Hubby got the corned beef and hash, which came with 3 perfectly cooked over easy eggs. I got the chorizo tacos with fried potatoes, they were delicious (coming from someone who eats tacos on a weekly basis at home). It was the best breakfast sandwich that I've had in a long time and I loved how they chopped up the sausage patty. The makeup and texture of the sandwich was perfect! I also like the atmosphere here as well. It's very quaint and the stone is beautiful. It's nice to sit at a table outside if the weather is nice too.
