    Fried Chicken Sandwich

Delicious food and a fun atmosphere. Not quite fitting for accommodating large groups but made it work for us. We had to sit outside and it was raining so we did get a little wet but staff brought out towels for us to dry off. They messed up the bill but were quick to fix and helped give recommendations for other places to visit in the area! Food was quick to come out and tasted great. The proportions are fairly large and the drinks, especially the Bloody Mary, could be a whole meal itself. We were expecting lunch and they had their brunch menu out which is served until 2 on Saturdays but still enjoyed and found something for everyone. See the pics for reference!

My family and I met up for lunch this afternoon at this beautiful establishment. The server was kind and welcoming.. she made sure our drinks were filled consistently and was patient with us when my family decided to wait on the dinner menu (2PM) even though we arrived early. We were able to eat breakfast or dinner! I ordered the "famous wings" and was delighted with the ranch as well as the fries. All of the food that was prepared for us was fresh and none of us left unhappy. I will be back! Try the breakfast nachos! Undoubtedly the best "nachos" I've ever had.

I came here for brunch with a friend and got the fried chicken sandwich and it had pimento cheese and bacon and it was very tasty. I wish there were more jalapeños, but I am a big fan of jalapeños. The shrimp sriracha tacos were also quite tasty and nicely fried. The server was great, but it was kind of hard to hear because there's an echo inside and there was a large party sitting next to us

How fun! We had such an amazing time. We went around 5:30 and they were more busy towards when we left. The interior is more college sports vibes. The food was so great and so were the drinks!! If you like a sweeter kahlua drink get the bamboo bear! It was so cute and comes in an adorable mug!

Fun place!! The interior is cool with indoor seating at tables or at the bar, as well as upstairs and a rooftop! The atmosphere was cool, plus TV's inside to watch sports. We went around 7:30pm on a Friday and the place had open spots. The food is decent - the salmon was good but lots of sauce, the sirloin was moderate, and the BLT was a classic. Overall, nice spot.

Pretty solid spot for a pre UK football game meal. Came here with my husband, his brother, and hid brother's wife, who are season ticket holders and very graciously invited us. We thought we'd return the favor by taking them out to eat to a place in Lexington they've been eyeing for a while. I had stared at the menu well before we came, and I had a hard time deciding what I wanted. My brother-in-law agreed to split the Chevy Chase Cheesesteak and the Loaded Mac and Cheese. But first, we started with some of the poutine-style fries, which were pretty good. As for the entrees, they were also pretty good. I'm not sure that the cheesesteak warrants the "crowd favorite" trophy next to it on the menu, but it wasn't bad. The mac and cheese was very decadent. The locale is pretty big, going up two stories with an open, sports bar feel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Pretty decent spot, glad we checked it out.

    Bar Area - Christmas Decor

Bear & the Butcher hosted us for our Book & Sip Club holiday brunch and it was nothing short of amazing! The staff was incredibly accommodating to our needs and did a great job organizing our large group and ensuring everyone's order was accurate and arrived on time! Definitely check out the breakfast cocktails and appetizers - the apple cranberry dip was amazing! And the Christmas decor was so cozy. We can't wait to come back after the holidays and explore the rest of their dinner menu!

After my previous review the general manager was quick to sort the issue after coming back from holiday leave. The other staff that I was interacting with hadn't experienced the issue I had before and did not know how to properly handle it. He was extremely apologetic over the situation and made be feel at ease, which is great because I have loved Bear and the Butcher's food and dining experience in the past. The wings are something I get regularly while there, and I hope to go back now that this has been resolved.

He's from this general area and recommended this spot, among a few others. I picked it because I liked the vibe, which I stand by in hindsight. Last Thursday was an atrocious weather day, raining for most of the time including the entire morning as we drove up to Lexington from Irvine. Since we'd never been over here, Josie's wasn't necessarily easy to spot apart from the other nearby businesses. It WAS very obviously in this larger strip mall situation (which doesn't seem like exactly the right term, but it's definitely in a building with a bunch of other stores), though we had to walk around almost the entire perimeter from our parking spot on Euclid to find it. Once we did, smooth sailing. Despite the fact that it was a weekday, Josie's was pretty busy when we walked in around 10ish. We WERE heading toward MDW, which could have been a factor, but this seems to be a pretty popular establishment regardless. It feels pretty new - this isn't like an old school greasy spoon diner type of situation - with some interesting artwork on the walls, and booths, regular tables and counter stools potentially available. Our colleague was already there and had secured a booth towards the back closer to the bathrooms, which allowed for some fun viewpoints of most of the restaurant. We were already a few days into our debauchery of a road trip, so I kept it pretty well-behaved - I opted for waffles with strawberries. That's it. The food came very quickly, as did the requested coffee, which might have ultimately been more important than the aforementioned waffles in the grand scheme of things. I honestly don't have a lot to say about them other than that they were perfectly fine waffles. The strawberries were fresh, the waffles themselves were cooked through but not too crispy, and that was that. I think it's a little hard to mess up something this basic, and thankfully all was well. The service was excellent throughout and even though I didn't foot any part of the bill (a thank you to our Kentucky colleague), the prices seemed very reasonable to me - though I also have a completely distorted perspective given that most of my consumerism takes place in the NYC area. No issues here; didn't see a ton of reasons to wander back into Lexington unless somehow Coach Cal comes back to coach the Cats and I miraculously score tickets to something at Rupp, but this was a nice little spot.

We started with an appetizer of BAKED GOAT CHEESE WITH ROLLS. It was really good. Cheese was typed with something like a maranera sauce. It was tasty but I would have preferred to out the tomato sauce. Enjoyed my SIDE SALAD which came with many toppings including bacon. I asked to leave the blue cheese off, which normally comes on it. The RIBS were out of this world!!! Melted off the bone. The BBQ sauce was phenominal. There were a ton of ribs. It is certainly a plate that could be shared. I took half home as leftovers. I selected the MAC AND CHEESE as my side. They have a version with pork, which sounds amazing, but decided it would be too much when paired with ribs. Super creamy and cheesy. Rich but not too rich.
