In desperation, I looked again online for after-hours emergency plumbing services and saw Homes and More Plumbing. It offered 24 hour service so I called and got owner Hamp Marshall. Mr. Marshall was incredible. Even though it was nearly 10 p.m. he calmly listened to my tale of woe. Said he'd get dressed and be on his way in about 30 minutes. Sure enough, about 30 minutes later he was at our door. Went upstairs, quickly identified the problem, and solved it with a part he had on the truck. Fast, friendly, competent. A couple nights ago (Friday before 4th of July weekend, of course), the kitchen sink started to back up. It wasn't just a bit slow, it was pretty much unusable. They pulled out so much gunk out of the pipes! I forget the name of the plumber that came out, but I appreciate his dedication towards ensuring we didn't need to have them come out again. He snaked the pipes almost all the way to the outside of the house, clearing out what was assuredly years of gross build up! We'll totally use them again if we have any other plumbing problems.
