Guide was incredibly attentive and quick to jump off his ride and help the peddlers. Great concept and enjoyed the 14 mile stretch we explored. Would try wheeler next time as Tillamook side near Bay City is full of aromas. Riders gather in groups of 4. You ride as a pack down the train tracks. Unique way to explore and ride through forested areas and over streams. Nice way to stretch our legs and exercise. Out and back 2 hours.

My daughter booked this for us as a Mother's Day present. This was the first summer weekend we could do it. We did the 3 pm trip out of Wheeler. The weather was perfect and the scenery was beautiful! It is a bit of a workout for your legs. It was just the two of us in a "car". If you had four people, it wouldn't be as challenging. The guides were great. Very safe. I highly recommend. Would be a great family activity as they have several cars in the group. We also visited Nehalem Bay Winery, for a picnic lunch, beforehand. Their fruit wines are amazing and the tasting fee is only $5 for any/all of their wines!

Past oyster middens, along the beautiful bay, through sloughs, past the ghost town of Idaville, behind the cheese factory, and over historic bridges, the Oregon Coast's newest tourist attraction is already a big hit! Oregon Coast Railriders is a pedal powered trip along the abandoned railroad between Bay City and Tillamook. The tour starts in Bay City, on Hays Road next to Pacific Oysters. After a brief safety briefing, four people ride a customized pedal powered cart that runs on the rail road! The company has about ten carts available, and runs three tours per a day. The pros of this tour are many. Lots of birds and animals to see from the wild to the farmed. On a Thursday morning in late spring, we saw at least four species of song birds, eagles, lizards, cattle, horses and mules. No doubt much more can be seen at different times of the day. The fresh air and exercise are definitely another plus on this awesome tour as it passes incredible vistas over the bay. An average trip is 11 miles and takes about two hours. Two professional tour guides do a great job of escorting the tour, and blocking traffic when the rails and road intersect. The cons of this tour are unfortunately many, but for a new business more then acceptable. The biggest problem is that the carts are a bit awkward at first. It might take the first stop to get the seats adjusted correctly, and the recumbent bicycling position can be awkward to those not used to it. All personal items should be well secured! Especially over the rail road bridges where dropped cell phones could easily decide to go swimming! Those with DSLrs and long lenses will not have a good time - the recumbent position makes carrying and shooting them near impossible. Go with a small cheap camera with a wrist strap for those great photos. While the hills are minimal to the point of being non-existent, there are a few sections that can be hard to pedal. Especially if you're not in the greatest shape. Luckily with four people pedaling, you can occasionally take a break. The parking and bathroom conditions are... primitive at best. For those who are anti-porta-potty you might want to go before you go! I'm glad that I've been able to take this tour before it becomes even more popular. Once summer comes, they will be full! So go now, go often, and enjoy Oregon Coast Railriders!

We saw you guys featured on a news story yesterday and decided to sign up for today! Definitely the best and most fun decision we've spontaneously made on our weekend trip to Cannon Beach! Riding over the river was gorgeous. Shoutout to Anna and the other amazing guide for being SO friendly and energetic the whole ride.

I am glad I went because it's so much fun. The scenery were great and it's like a workout but your outside and you can hear, see nature and birds. Our guide is cute and helpful. Would recommend this to friends.

We had the best time today ! I highly recommend the rail riders! We even got caught in quite a downpour and it was still awesome!!! The guides are super nice! The ride is about 50 minutes out in mostly flat tracks over some bridges and by farms and behind the cheese factory! Then they turn the riders around and it's another 50 minutes or so back!

We had a blast riding the railcars. There's definitely a little exertion required: bring some water as the cars have handy-dandy cup holders. Jennifer and Philippe were great guides. Definitely a unique and fun experience for only $20 a person.

Fun family adventure! Great value. Captain was fun, lunch was yummy, memories were maderead more

What an excellent way to end my summer break!…read more One Thursday morning, my partner and I sat in the living room with our coffee and began discussing adventures we could have before returning to school. He suggested Jerry's Rogue Jets in Oregon, recalling how much he enjoyed it as a child. So, we looked up the Wilderness Whitewater Tour and found four tickets available for the next day (Friday) at 11:30. He booked a hotel, and we drove to Oregon that Thursday afternoon. The tour, which departed from the Port of Gold Beach, took us through the scenic Rogue River Canyon. As we rode, the captain shared fascinating stories about the river's history and wildlife. He executed many fun, quick turns and dips that splashed us with water. Luckily, we were sitting in the back, so we didn't get as soaked as those in the front. Our first stop was in Agness, where we switched boats and were entertained by Captain John. We also had to wear safety vests during this second part of the tour. This time, we got thoroughly drenched, but I still enjoyed it. I just wish I had brought an extra set of clothes. Our daughters, who were sitting in the middle, complained that they didn't get wet enough, even though their hair and clothes were soaked. I guess they were hoping to be completely drenched. After returning to Agness, it was time for a meal at Cougar Lane Lodge. It was convenient that food and drinks were included in the price! While alcohol cost extra, we didn't feel like having cocktails or beer. The lunch was surprisingly excellent! The adult meal had a variety of choices, and my partner opted for the BBQ plate, which included ribs, pulled pork, and brisket, along with a muffin, beans, and coleslaw. Delicious! I chose the cheeseburger with fries, which was also tasty. I regretted not selecting the BBQ plate, but I was satisfied with my burger. Fortunately, my partner couldn't finish his meal, so I was able to have a few bites of the tender meat. After our hour-long lunch, we returned to the boat. This time, the captain did fewer quick turns and dips, but it was still enjoyable! He continued to share information about the area, himself, and the animals in the wilderness until we made it back to the Port of Gold Beach. It was an incredible boat ride!

I attended this forest retreat expecting a peaceful and grounding nature experience as advertised…read more Instead, I encountered a situation that felt manipulative, invasive, and lacking in transparency. At no point in the online description was nudity mentioned -- yet it became part of the experience in a way that was not clearly disclosed or consented to ahead of time. While some may be comfortable with this level of vulnerability in a private setting, I was not. The way it was introduced made me feel unprepared, pressured, and ultimately violated in my sense of safety. There were subtle and not-so-subtle ways boundaries were pushed. Emotional openness was encouraged in ways that felt more like a setup for crossing personal lines, not true healing. If you're looking for a safe, professional, and clearly guided wellness retreat -- this was not it. I'm writing this review to warn others who are vulnerable or sensitive: this experience may not be what it appears online. I left feeling shaken, exposed, and misled. I would never recommend this to someone seeking genuine healing, connection, or nature-based wellness. Please do your research, ask detailed questions, and trust your gut. A peaceful retreat should never involve unexpected nudity, blurred boundaries, or unspoken intentions. I hope this review saves at least one person from the confusion and pain I experienced.
