    ATTENTITION ALL RILEY RANCH CAMPERS!!!

Great facilities. Fun place to stay. Easy access to the Dunes and Spinreel ATV rentals.

The only good thing about this RV park is the proximity to the dunes and there are plenty of other campgrounds close by that also have close proximity. If your looking to have a good time on your vacation don't come to this RV park. They drove to our campsite every fifteen minutes and there was no privacy. They sent the sheriff out and had him kick half of our group out with no warning for loud music at 12 in the afternoon when the quiet time is from 10 pm- 7am. We stayed in loop D and it was not well maintained, giant potholes and flooding when it rained, no bathrooms and showers in this loop. There were porta potties but they were very full and were never cleaned. I would not recommend this park.

Great campground. Nice bathrooms and showers. Most campsites have some privacy. Easy access to the dunes for riding.

We did have road noise from Hwy 101 at the campsite but nothing we couldn't deal with.

The check in was easy, our host attendant , gave us clear instructions to our airstream. We were a bit confused the first day and evening about how to contact someone after hours. I kept getting the bot when I went on to the website. Finally when I googled Bay Point Landing General store, I found that part of the site. From then on it was a breeze to getting help. The airstream was well stocked. Dishware, glasses, utensils, cookware and cooking utensils. Linens were clean, we even had lovely doggy baskets for our pups. Complete with towels, dishes, treats, leashes and sheets to cover bed and sofa. They have activities everyday to attend. We did the happy hour the first night, it was very nice sitting looking over the water and enjoying a glass or two of wine. I was grateful for the broom that was in the airstream, sweep out the RV multiple times a day. The airstream comes with dish rags and dishes towels, but no dish soap you can purchase that at the General store. This is not glamping, as some reviews seemed to think. But it is a step above RVing in a state park. There are nice amenities and can make as many improvements as you want, but they cost. We were happy with the close proximity to the state parks, restaurants and grocery stores. We look forward to our next stay at Bay Point Landing.

Spots to fish and BBQ, launch non-motorized boats - great park! But unfortunately, it's frequently a camping spot for transients. And while not all transients are bad, we have experienced some that are on drugs, yelling, riding bikes at uncomfortably fast speeds, or just spitting and yelling at passersby. There was even a blunt sitting on an empty park bench. Which, shouldn't be an issue as marijuana is legal in this state, however, not only would someone not know what it's laced with, there are frequently children walking in that park and might come across it. If I didn't have my two dogs and my protector husband with me, you wouldn't catch me alone in that park ever. But with my bodyguards and always being alert and choosing my path wisely, I have some of the most amazing walks there!

I'll start with the good things about the park: It was easy access from Highway 101. The entrance was marked well, and it was navigable in a big rig (we did need to have someone move a vehicle when we were leaving due to cars being parked in the street since spaces are so tight). Our site was concrete and was very level. The wi-fi worked pretty well where we were located and there were no obstacles for satellite TV with our roof mounted dish. Hook-ups worked well at our site but another camper a few sites down from us had issues with a plugged sewer line. The park was quiet (the railroad yard nearby was not very active) and there is a walking trail from the park that leads to the Coos Bay boardwalk. There were some homeless people living in the rail yard but they were not panhandling on the walkway. And, the park is in close proximity to many great places on the coast. Now, the downsides: The sites are extremely tight. We had no room to sit outside, and it is even difficult to park your vehicle. The dog walk area is full of dog poop, and it's hard to walk without stepping in the waste. Which leads to management being on site only three days a week. If you have an issue you need to call and leave a message. Water pressure was low at our site. Finally, we were sure to not leave things outside of our RV due to the lack of management presence and the homeless population in the rail yard. The park is primarily full-time residents but they were very friendly to us. Again, not a bad park, but it's hard to enjoy fully when there isn't room to sit outside.

The full timers at the park have lots a junk around there trailers. The bathrooms were the worst. I don't think they have been cleaned in years. They had so much mold, it was gross.
