With that said - the store is FULL of cute furniture and decor I'll definitely go back for. They had this gorgeous organizer piece hanging on the wall I'd love to add to my place (but have no wall room for, classic NY), and tons of adorable and kitschy coasters, puzzles, calendars, knick knacks, and more. So I'm walking through Park Slope with my Dad after a lovely lunch on 5th Ave when I see a shop…read morecalled "Trailer Park." That doesn't happen too often, right? So without much thought at all I declared that we needed to go inside and started across the street. What could Dad say? He gave me a look that clearly said "you're weird" and followed me in. Once inside we were greeted by dozens of items that I swear are in my Grandfathers basement right now. Dad must have been reading my mind b/c he actually said "I think you're grandfather has a couple of those in the basement" while pointing to a set of vinyl suitcases. The entire store is filled, floor to ceiling, with vintage pieces of all sizes and shapes. Big ticket items like tables, chairs and trunks to smaller accessories of baskets & picture frames. The layout and arrangement made it hard to navigate the store and what was more confusing was the location (I think) of the cash register & counter area... It's hidden behind a huge pile of stuff so you can't even see the front door if you're sitting behind the counter. Oh and we were in the shop for a good ten minutes and I don't think I saw the owner/manager once. I though that was weird.. and I can't forget to mention- I found the store to have a bit of a musty smell... which makes sense if you think about the items inside. While I don't think I'd purchase anything it was a cool shop to walk through and brought back memories of Gramps. If you're looking for some nostalgia- stop by Trailer Park

We purchased the Bryant 6 piece sectional and 3 sets of throw pillows from Joybird in July 2019. We anxiously waited for delivery and received the couch about a month or so later. Upon delivery, we noticed that one one of the pieces, the fabric was sewn in the wrong direction (it was oriented horizontally while the rest of the couch was oriented vertically). The pieces of the sectional wouldn't connect to each other (despite the company's claims that they do extensive QC). The couch also did not line up and the back of some pieces were up to an inch higher/lower than others and stuck out from the other pieces as well. There were tears underneath the pieces. We called to complain on Day 1 and I spoke with (I believe) Michelle who was horribly rude and condescending. After calling back the next day and providing ample documentation of the issues, they eventually arranged for a furniture repair tech to fix the clasps and the tears. After another month or so, we received a new corner piece and unbelievably, the fabric was still sewn in the wrong direction and the piece sat about an inch higher than the rest of the couch. Michelle tried to state that they were unable to sew the fabric in the correct orientation but we were quickly able to disprove her statement. We finally asked to speak with another rep and asked to not deal with Michelle in the future. The new rep (we worked with Christine and Athenas who both seemed to actually care and try) was very helpful and assured us that they would make us a new couch and babysit it through the whole process so there wouldn't be any issues. About a month later (mind you, this is now the 4th day I've had to stay home and wait for a repair or delivery/pick up, not including 2 days where the delivery company, JB Hunt, no-showed), the new couch came. There were loose threads everywhere, the corner piece was still in the wrong orientation, and the couch didn't line up, despite being made at the same time. We provided more photos and Michelle emailed us back and offered us a $800 credit (absolutely laughable at this point). We again stated we did not want to communicate with her and the new rep came back and offered $1000 off. We paid $6000 and we had a couch that looked like it belonged at an outlet store. That was nowhere near good enough (we felt 50% would have been extremely fair considering how much time I wasted sitting at home, plus the inconvenience of this ordeal). They offered to make us another couch and we declined. It was now January 2020 and we'd wasted half a year with this company. We ended up returning the couch (so another day I spent waiting at home) and they did give us a full refund, to their credit. We ended up ordering a wonderful couch from Arhaus (one that is actually down, not the poly-fil that Joybird calls down alternative) and we picked up a sectional from the Pottery Barn Outlet store to use while we wait. We paid about a third of the price for the PB interim sectional and it is considerably more comfortable and better all around. I wouldn't recommend Joybird to my worst enemy after our experience. read more

This was my first purchase with Joybird. I was truly looking forward to delivery and new sectional. Well, it arrived and the frame was bent on the bottom and the right arm was bent in too! The delivery men noticed it before me and said this is not right! I emailed Joybird to resolve the issue on September 4, 2020. That is the only way to speak with the "warranty team". I received an automated response that stated someone would be in touch in 5-7 days. Well, I finally heard from someone no the 19th of September with a few options. One being a replacement. I chose that option and wrote back to the person who emailed me from warranty that same day. In the meantime, I ordered an Elliot Sofa to go in the same room- more money spent at Joybird because I do like the style and design. Today, September 29, 2020 I call Joybird- have to leave a message and receive a call back several hours later. The representative informs me that when I respond to the email from the warranty team it does not go back to that person it goes back into a queue. I asked can you help me? She replied yes- what option would you like? I informed her I would like a replacement. Her response to me, "well did you order the new couch yet?" Excuse me! That's our policy you order another couch and then when that is delivered we will pick up the defected couch and then credit you back the money for the second couch. WTF???? I said that couch was $4250 on sale, therefore, I did not pay that much. I think I paid $3700. Keep in mind I already paid another 2K for the additional Elliot Sofa. They want me to put out another FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS- for a replacement to be sent to me- when this was their mistake??? I said well if this is your policy I will just cancel everything! The rep, "Okay I can cancel this for you". I said so that's what you want to do? That's how you treat customers? No, but I don't have any other options. HOW about you escalate the call to a director/manger. Okay I can put you on her "TRACKER" are you kidding me- is this the EMERGENCY DEPT which is what we have for pt's. I ask how long will it take for your manager to get back to me? It will probably be later this week. I have a real problem that I cannot speak with a manager when spending this much money. I waiting for the manager to return my call and if they expect me to buy another sectional and tie up more of my money I will cancel the order completely. I will let all my friends and family and will alert social media of this poorly handled incident. I truly hope Joybird STEPS UP AND DOES THE RIGHT THING! I would give less than one star if I could! read more

DO NOT PURCHASE Joybird furniture. The worst experience EVER, and I buy a lot of furniture. The quality was terrible. I bought the Anton Daybed. The attachment brackets were crooked, the seams were off, and the padding was lopsided. They tried to convince me that since it's handmade, it's unique. Artisanal. NO! It was crap. A simple QC check before shipping would never have allowed it out of the warehouse. Then they wanted me to agree to having a "furniture medic" come fix my brand new sofa. Come over, take it apart, a one time courtesy, etc. NO! I returned it. They said they processed the refund on 5/31 and would take 3 to 5 days to show up on my account. Well, it's 6/12 and still no credit. Lots of stalling. Lots of lies. I had to dispute the charges. This company SUCKS. Again, DO NOT BUY, unless you like low quality furniture and headaches. I wasn't going to write a negative review because I thought that maybe it was a one-time mistake. Maybe they were teaching someone how to make furniture and sew, and this was that person's first attempt. However, since they have given me the runaround on my credit, I thought other buyers should know what they are getting into. If I stopped one person from purchasing, then I have done my job. (Also, they blocked me from reviewing my purchase on their site.) They should also credit me back the $60 I tipped the delivery and pick-up people, since I ended up without a sofa. I ended up ordering from ROOM AND BOARD a similar sofa that I was able to customize. So much better, and worth the extra couple of bucks. read more

I am not a professional mover so I can't go around and measure every inch of my building. The responsibility you put on the customers is a tiny section on your site and no employee suggests such detailed measurement requirements by customer. Joybird is a sketchy company. Profit over people, profit over decency. You ended up having a brand new coach which I am sure will sell quickly, I ended up with no coach and sold my other coach prior to arrival.,And you are charging for ship back. Again this is ROBBERY! I bet this happens all the time. Joybird is not a honest and reliable company. I would not buy anything from them. We ordered a sleeper sofa and on the day of the delivery it didn't fit inside elevator, stairs etc. We were only informed to measure the height of the elevator which we did. After you purchase the item they claim that it's customers responsibility to make sure if the sofa fits to elevator and stairs. They don't offer a refund or any other solution. Only thing they offered is a curbside delivery. Horrible company and very bad customer service. This is literally a robbery. read more

Believe the bad reviews. We bought a couch after JB was recommended by an interior designer. Our couch was a month late. The delivery guys spent 30 mins working on installing the legs in our driveway. When they dropped it off, they said, "These are the most complicated legs I've ever seen on a sofa." When we sat down on it, it was wobbly. One corner leg only had 2 bolts in, not 4 - probably because 1 bolt had no thread sleeve inside. Another leg remains wobbly and uneven, no matter how hard you tighten all 4 bolts. It's uneven, unstable, and we're still missing 2 bolts. The delivery guys didn't mention any of this when they dropped it off. It creeps me out to sit on, thinking it might collapse at any moment. Customer service is impossible. They route you to a voicemail, which directs you to use a chat feature on their site, or text them directly. Neither of these are operable anymore. Don't buy from this company. The wait is one thing, but the product is another - and the customer service is clearly built to be an obstacle. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM JOYBIRD. They will take your money and never deliver your furniture. I ordered a Bradshaw chair from them in mid-October. Was told it would arrive between December 13 and December 20th. December 20th comes and goes with no update or communication from Joybird. I spent the next week and hours of my time calling, texting and e-mailing Joybird for updates on my order. I got no response for days, and when I finally did, I was told my chair was completed and was about to ship in the next 24-48 hours. I waited another week, no update on shipping. Contacted support again, only to find out they have no idea what the status of my chair is, if in fact it actually was built, or shipped, or anything. 0 stars for taking $1k for a chair that they never delivered, the worst customer support, and for lying to me that my chair was ready when it was not (I was going to cancel my order otherwise, seems they resort to shady lies to try to keep your money). read more

I really wanted to love this sofa, especially given its price, but the quality has been deeply disappointing. The foundation is not stable, the structure doesn't feel supportive, and the shape of the seat actually hurts my husband's back. It should feel solid, supportive, and well designed. What's most upsetting is the customer service. Joybird used to have a one-year trial policy, and if they still honored that, we would have been able to exchange this for something that worked for us. Instead, they told us there's nothing they can do. The policy now feels like it's designed to not care about the customer experience after the purchase is made. This was an expensive purchase and we deeply regret buying it. We would not purchase from Joybird again and would not recommend the brand based on our experience. read more

Despite a disappointing delivery experience, this $2k sofa has proven to be an unsatisfactory investment. Even compared to Ikea sofas, it lacks durability and support, with cushions beginning to sink within a month of use. My initial expectation of longevity has been shattered, as the quality has quickly deteriorated, necessitating the search for a replacement after only a few months of regular use. Presently, additional cushions are required for comfortable seating, adding to the frustration over the wasted expenditure. Moreover, the sinking cushions create a sensation akin to sitting in a hole, further diminishing the overall comfort and usability of the sofa. I would only recommend this sofa for those with expendable income who prioritize aesthetics over functionality and anticipate infrequent use. read more

We ordered a bed frame; it's beautiful. Delivery took months, I get it. We paid for them to install but they did not install. We tried to install but it's missing pieces and there are no directions. What's worse is that part of the manufacturing assembly was incomplete, you know, the anchor that you actually screw a screw into. Unfortunately, the area that requires a screw anchor is covered with upholstery so there is no way to drill without compromising the upholstery. We waited another 2 weeks for hardware. Not all the hardware arrived. They looked for someone in our area to address the screw anchors and upholstery, they couldn't find anyone; that took another 2 weeks, maybe more. They did not make any of this right. Pretty much said, shut up and return it. Poor customer service. read more

Bought Joybird Briar Sleeper Couch (in Blue Cobalt) after visiting their Brooklyn location for Delivery to Miami. After 11 months, the couch started falling apart; changing colors and fading, after only 19 months (now) of barely using it, looks terrible, and much worse quality (despite being valued at $5K) than an Ikea couch would look after 7 years of use for 1/4th the price. They don't seem to want to stand by their product quality and refund or replace the couch. Highly Disappointed. Unless they can correct this in a fair way will never buy Joybird again and would recommend others to stay clear of Joybird. NY Times has removed them from the recommended list for poor product quality and customer service. read more

She wasn't pushy at all, just genuinely helpful and patient as I struggled to choose between two beautiful options. I have not received my couch yet so this could change in the future. This was my second time in the store. The first time 2 years ago was rather sales gimmicky and pushy. This time Tre Calvert helped me and was awesome. He gave me room to walk around and check things out on my own and then checked in answered any questions I had. I made my purchase only to get home and see I measure wrong. I called this morning and he adjusted my order in just a few minutes over the phone and sent me a follow email right after. Be careful with this store, it may be a big scam. For what you can see according to the other more than 100 1 star reviews is that they may go bankrupt and screw all their customers. They just take orders but are unable to deliver anything and in many many cases when they deliver it is a disaster and they do not take responsibility for it or leave you hanging. They do not even answer the phone or call you back and nevertheless reply to a simple email. Totally unprofessional and total disregard for their customers. I have been looking at the loveseats for months. Megan Baker on Instagram had a pink couch that I thought was great. It is pet friendly so I think that means when the cats scratch on it, it won't pull fabrics. I finally asked for a swatch of the blue cobalt. I have to admit, I waited what seems to be a long time for the swatch but when a BOX of swatches was delivered, I forgot about the wait time. Turns out the Cobalt wasn't the right shade. Horrible service, the couch itself is great except it was delivered and has damage. The couch was built with a damaged leg that wont insert. I have called for help and was told I had to submit for warranty work. They would not do it for me, I had too. I have been waiting for a resolution as I sit with a couch with a missing leg and no one will respond. Delivery organization was also a nightmare. For the price of this furniture they should have stellar service. Covid is no reason to not respond at all to a resolution. read more

Disappointing experience with Joybird. I found their restocking fees to be excessively high, especially considering they were 50% of the purchase price. This felt like a significant financial burden. Both Lion and Renee are the most wonderful humans and helped bring my vision to life. The dresser is a stunning green and I asked Lion if he could add some gold handles for me (totally let him take the wheel on that) -- super pleased with the result. The night stand was a deep cherry color before and I asked if he could refurbish it and paint it a dark teal for an additional cost. It came out amazing and I couldn't be happier with how it came out. I would without a doubt purchase from them again.

I ended up buying an amazing mid century glider chair. The straps under the seat cushion were a little rotten so they replaced all the straps and put a fabric cover over it so it's very secure! An unexpected surprise- I thought I would need to fix it up myself! Really neat place and kind people, I'll definitely go back

I…read morespent a couple months thinking about it and went to the Resource Furniture on 3rd to order it. They carry the Jori line but the salesperson did not seem to anything about Jori chairs or what the options were. I ordered it based on the fabric samples they had and I must say I am happy with it. But I will say, based on my research, their markup is VERY high- especially for the service I received. The delivery went smoothly but you would think for the price I paid the salesperson would call after to ensure I was satisfied. When I sent her an email to find out the delivery date, she did not even acknowledge my email. Someone else contacted me about delivery. I am happy with the chair but won't be shopping there again.

It pains me to write a bad yelp review of anyone and I never before have but my experience here…read morehaunts me. The Chair Factory has a large "covid 19 sale" banner out front but when I visited the salesman I talked to refused to wear a mask stating that "he had already had covid" even as cases are on the rise all over the country, unnecessarily endangering the lives of his customers. He seemed put off when I then asked we stand 6 feet apart. This behavior goes beyond inconsiderate and enters the territory of reckless and terrifying. Do not shop here if you value your life. As a reminder, we are in the middle of a pandemic, we wear masks for the safety of others not for ourselves, even if you have endured COVID it is possible to get it again. Wash your hands wear a mask and don't go to The Chair Factory.
