I am very sad of how little respect this nail salon has for customers. It took 5 employees to do my nails. I don't do anything fancy, just plain short nails and plain light pink coat. It was done on Sunday afternoon and today they're all ruined. I had an appointment today at 3 PM with Linda. When I showed up I let Joyce (the owner) know I was there. She barely acknowledged me, kept working on another client, and said nothing about any delays. I went to pick out my nail color and then sat down to soak off my gel nails. I waited 40 minutes past my appointment time before Linda finally came over and apologized.At that point, I told her I would've rescheduled instead of wasting 40 minutes sitting there with no communication. She then said her car broke down and that's why she was running behind, but I had already watched her work on two other women during the time I was waiting. I'm not sure if they had appointments or were walk-ins, but the lack of communication was unacceptable. Neither Linda or Joyce called or gave me a heads up.When I called Joyce to discuss the issue, she became argumentative & loud, stating that the car issue had already been explained. I told her that I wasn't told anything until 40 minutes into my wait and ONLY after I said something. This isn't the first time I've had a problem. My two prior appointments Linda left in the middle of doing my nails to work on other clients, one was a full manicure and the other was eyebrows. During one visit where I was just a walk in, I got an inexperienced technician who filed my skin to the point where it bled. I was told by Joyce over the phone that they would comp my next appointment, but that never happened. When I brought this up again today, Joyce said I had to return within one week to get the comp which was something I was never told. She did eventually offer half off my next appointment, but I told her I didn't want to continue coming if I was going to be interrupted and treated this way. She got defensive again and repeated that she was having a bad day, and then handed the phone to someone else who didn't even sound like staff, it sounded like her client. This salon has had multiple opportunities to make things right, and they failed every time. It's unprofessional to treat clients this way, especially when charging $45 for a powder gel manicure. There is no respect for their clients time. I will NEVER come back here again. read more

I did an acrylic fill in with gel polish about 3 days ago...and they are already chipped. I'm not going to bother to go get It fixed because I know in about 3 days it's going to chip again. In need of a major update. Pedicure chairs are old, and half of them are broken. Seats are uneven. Very uncomfortable! I got a spa pedicure and a regular polish manicure. At the end, I sat 15 minutes or more to dry, and I smudged my thumb when going to leave. I didn't ask them to fix it, because I figured it was my fault and I could live with the tiny smudge. When I got out to the car, it smudged even worse. I believe the polish was applied too thickly, and therefore couldn't dry properly. When the next day another finger had a gouge in the polish, I noticed that some nails were painted thick and others were so thin the color was opaque in places. The positives - care was taken when doing the actual manicure/pedicure. Not once did anything even come close to hurting, which is something I can't say for other places I've been to. My toe nail was split and my girl got the head girl to come and fix it (presumably my girl didn't know how, because she was obviously being instructed on the process). The foot massage was wonderful, and when the timer went off she continued another minute or so, because she hasn't spent equal time on both feet. She also gave me a free shoulder massage while a guy was doing my manicure. Unfortunately, until they update the pedicure chairs and the store in general, I won't be going back. read more

When I was told them it's posted on the wall it's only 40...... Was told because they charge for shaping and the polish I got power dip with tips. Charged 60 when it says 50.... Honestly I'm so frustrated I had to leave a review Lol, I had Joyce doing my nails and I simply asked the lady if she could do a design and she said "yes I can do anything you want" so I trusted her and she did not do what I wanted, I politely asked Joyce if she could fix it and try again..she got frustrated and "said she's not a machine BLAH BLAH" I couldn't even believe she was raising her voice at me. I don't know what these reviews are all About I started going here after several bad experiences in other salons and i think this place is super clean they took me even thou it was later in the evening and stayed 45 min past closing never making me feel Rushed and did a beautiful job! My nails look beautiful i get the French powder gel and it lasts 3 weeks. Suki is very friendly and a perfectionist. Tina has also done my nails and she's awesome too. I go here ALL the time and today was my last straw. I'm going back to school and for my program I can't have any powder or gel or polish on my nails. I got my nails done here a few weeks ago and loved them however, today I came here to get them taken off before school on Thursday. Usually you're supposed to use acetone nail polish and wrap your nails in tin foil and let them soak for a little while so the powder dissolves and is easier to remove. NOPE. She cut the tips of my nails with a nail clipper and proceeded to SHOVE a long fake tip under my nails to remove them. When I tell you by the third nail I was hysterically crying in pain. I asked her to use the tin foil and she said no and continued to do it and on my fourth (pointer finger) she ripped my nail from the skin and I started bleeding. She got annoyed at ME????? So what did she do? Used tin foil on my other hand and did it the proper way. She charged me $10 for this and being the person I am I paid that and left. My finger is now shaking from the pain and is hanging off. Disgusting and repulsive as a nail tech and I will never come back here because of her again. read more

Very nice and fast to seat you but quickest pedicure I've ever had couldn't have been more than 20 mins the dry time may equal out a full half hour. I got a regular pedicure since I've never been here before. It cost $20 and an additional $5 for removing gel polish so in total it was $25. A quick scrub toe nail trimming and a little lotion is all you get besides getting polished. I was offered a 10 min massage but was unsure of the cost so I said if it comes with it then yes. Which as I found out it didn't. It's a quiet relaxing environment and the fumes of nail products isn't overwhelming at all. I may come back again if I'm in a rush but wouldn't choose this as my regular pedi spot. read more

First time customer , new to town and I've tried all the nail salons near my house.Currently getting a pedicure, ladies were very sweet when I walked in. Wasn't rushed picking a color, hate when that happens. Tools sanitized. Lady doing my nails very patient with my sensitive feet. I recently went here with my two grandsons aged 14 and 16. I thought it would be a fun experience for us. It was the 14 year old's first time. I was furious by the time I left. The person who worked on the younger ones nails maybe spent 10 minutes with him. He didn't want polish so he got the bums rush. When I looked at his nails later, they were a mess. As I was sitting waiting for my nails to dry, she came up to him with her hand out for a tip. I said "are you serious "? The kid didn't know what to do and handed her all the money in his hand. I told her she can't do that. She ignored me and pocketed the money. I asked to speak to the manager but she didn't want to leave her client for 2 minutes. I will NEVER go to this place again. I don't like the lack of consistency here. Some of the techs are great but others are horrible. I've given this place so many chances but I'm done at this point. I am not an every 2 weeks nail person, I don't have the patience or time. That being said, when I (finally) do get my nails done, I always get a gel mani and a pedi and I am pretty picky. I have been going to Joyce Tips for about 2.5 years now, probably once every 6 weeks on average, and I fortunately haven't really had any experiences nearly as bad that some of the other reviewers have had. One time I had my gel polish chip within a week, but generally it stays 3-4 weeks. I also have never encountered an employee who is blatantly rude. Some of the men are perhaps not friendly, but all the women are very nice. I have actually seen a few of the women handle unruly customers with tact and grace and was very impressed. The gel manis are better than many of the competing salons in the area. The regular pedis are pretty good as well. I know that they do get very busy on certain days/times, but mostly I try to go during an "off peak" time to avoid a crowd. They have a large selection of both gel and regular polishes and even with how fussy I am, I always find something I like. They also have a ton of Perfect Match polishes. I try and have an idea of a color/shade before I come in because my experience is that the staff could maybe be a little more patient while the clients are choosing a color. I always book an appointment to avoid waiting and with the exception of one time (the Sunday before Memorial Day) I am sitting in a chair within a few minutes of walking in the door where I am always greeted politely by the staff. The Memorial Day experience seems to be a one time thing, but I had made an appointment for the mid afternoon when they first opened, and I was ignored for 15 minutes, which was honestly pretty annoying but I did end up being well taken care of eventually. Overall: Better than average gel mani and pedi. Friendly staff. Competitively priced. Wide polish selection. Tip: know what you want before you walk in and make an appointment in advance. read more

Horrible service - the staff is very rude. There's no point in making an appointment either. Takes about 30 minutes for you to be seated even if you have an appointment. They do not require clients to wear masks and they do NOT social distance the seats - just gross. Would not recommend this place even as a last resort. read more

Honestly I wouldn't even give them 1 star, but I have to put something to leave a review. I typically don't leave we had reviews or go out of my way to leave on but I wanted to warn people about this place. This place was absolutely terrible. It was dirty, the staff barely spoke any English, all of the Pedicure Chairs were broken. My behind actually hurt when I got up from sitting there. They actually used a stained towel on my legs during my pedicure. I asked her to get a different towel and she had no idea what I was saying. Somebody else had to translate oh, she took another towel out of the towel warmer and that one was also stained. They should be ashamed of themselves, or closed down. I have a 6 month old son and I don't get out to do much for myself very often, I work full-time too. I was dying for a pedicure and its really a shame that this is the first place I went and can still say it's terrible. My polish looks terrible and the didnt cut or file my nails evenly. You should really clean the place up, update your equipment, and clean the place. read more
