For many years I considered a Brazilian wax. After talking to a friend, they suggested Sugar SugarDay Spa. I called for an appointment on Monday and had an appointment by Tuesday that week. They are on Main Street in Port Jefferson which makes parking a bit tricky but I had no problem finding a spot that was in walking distance. There was a gentleman who greeted me at the door and I waited only about 3 minutes before I was escorted to the wax room. The owner (I didn't ask her name) was very sweet and passionate about her business and her work. She makes her own sugar wax and sugar scrub for after care. The appointment was quick. Maybe a half hour from parking to being back in my car to go home. Everything was clean and quick and she asked questions to determine how to proceed with the wax and what kind of aftercare I would have. As a first time Brazilian wax customer I would recommend Sugar Sugar. Although I have nothing to compare this experience to, I don't have any reason to go anywhere else. read more

I have been waxed at so many different places from Spas to cruises and resorts from Hawaii, California and New York plus so many more places in between and I have never found a place as Amazing as this!!!! Worth EVERY penny! She makes her own wax from an old family recipe that originated in Turkey with her grandma. Everywhere else I would get in grown hairs or irritation afterwards but she has some kind of magic. This should be you only stop if you want to look amazing! Absolutely loved the decor. I've been looking for a great eyebrow threading place and found a really great one here at sugar sugar spa. The store is clean and they use their own signature wax made out of sugar. Hence the name. The store is located in such a cute little town with great shopping all around. The store is ran by husband and wife and they are very sweet and professional. I was running a bit late for my appointment as I was coming from Ronkonkoma and they were accommodating to me. Let's get down to the brows. So my eyebrows are very important to me as with most woman. So I was a little apprehensive meeting someone new. Well I'm glad I made the stop because they came out really good. They have a great arch and perfect shape. I have received a lot of compliments so far. Although they came out a little thinner then my liking they were still very good and nothing a little pencil can't fix. Truth be told most woman like it thinner so I believe that's just the style but for me personally I like them just a little thicker. However, I was still very happy with the results. I've heard sugaring was better than waxing, but WOW is it true. First of all, Nancy is amazing. Her spa is clean, beautiful, and welcoming. This was my first professionally done Brazilian wax (I used to shave, pluck, and even tried to wax myself). The whole process was so comfortable. She assured me that she's a mother of daughters and that she's very experienced . This made me at ease because I've never had anybody wax or even come that close to my privates lol. I tried Sugar Sugar because I needed my eye brows done desperately and of course waited until the last minute to get them done for a wedding. The place I usually go to is always incredibly backed up even when I make appointments so I figured I'd try a new place. I was really impressed with Sugar Sugar! They were more than happy to squeeze me in at the time i needed. When I got to Sugar Sugar they took me right in, there was no wait. I didn't catch the woman's name but she was incredibly warm, welcoming and gracious for the business, as was the gentleman who greeted me. She did a great job on my eyebrows. The place was extremely clean and smelt great. The price for eye brow threading/waxing was pretty normal, $15. There is street parking usually in front of the building. If there isn't street parking, there is a public lot right behind the building, however if you're not a village resident it is a metered parking lot. read more

Approaching the storefront is the cutest window display, followed by relaxing calm atmosphere when you walk through the door. The decor is boho-trendy..a beautiful spa. Peace. Relaxation. Calm. Ahhhhh. Exactly the way you want to feel when you enter a spa. I was greeted by the staff at the time of my appointment, and brought into a room in the back, by Nancy, who introduced herself, and made me feel comfortable. What surprised me the most, was that the product used to wax, is purely homemade organic (made with sugar) and it hardly hurts! AND it works so much better than wax!!! I mean WOW!!! How come I didn't know about this before?! This woman is really amazing!!! I noticed that the place was also very clean. They have private parking in the back. Never ever go here . The owner Nancys husband is rude and nasty. 10 years a customer and said I can no longer be a Customer after being 7 minutes late . They took another customer so I said I would wait but he didn't want to let me wait because he said I was late . I waited 30 minutes for him to tell me I am no longer welcome there anymore. There policy is no lateness . He told me there's no leanensy for lateness. I am a mother and very hard to get to any sort of salon to do for myself.
