A small restaurant with limited number of parking spaces. We went there on Saturday before dinner time, so there were not many customers. Ordered an appetizer, dosa, and one from the traditional dish section. All tasted good. Chicken 65 was flavored nicely; not much spicy but pretty impressive. Good option for family dinner or casual meal. Servers were helpful and took care of our orders.

Charlotte's Indian food scene is really flourishing these days. We tried this thanks to the recommendation of our friend Tonya (where all good Indian food recommendations come from). My husband and I got takeout and shared: - Cheese Masala Dosa - Chili Paneer - Paneer Burji The dosa was probably my favorite (they usually are), but it was all delicious. You can't go wrong here. Next time you're in the mood for Indian (pretty much always for me), check this spot out.

    Omg the cake!!!! Delightful!!!

Great food, quick service, casual vibe. Doesn't get much better than that. Wife and I ordered a little bit of everything to-go and it was ready on time. We tried the Chilly Paneer, Paneer Burji, Cheese Masala Dosa, and some Garlic Naan. I was pleasantly surprised to discover my favorite menu item was the Cheese Masala Dosa. Normally I prefer curries but this Dosa won my stomach. Also, it was huge when compared to many other dosas I've had.

This place is absolutely legit. The food is amazing on all Levels. The flavor, the spices, are just spot on. Small spot in a small plaza. Family business for a personal touch. We didn't do any appetizers since it was just my daughter and I and we both wanted separate dishes. My daughter got the buttered chicken and I got the chicken tikka. The chicken tikka came on a hot cast iron plate (think fajitas). The chicken was juicy and so good with the veggies underneath were amazing. The buttered chicken was great as well with the naan calling to be dipped in the sauce. Absolutely delicious. If you like or want to try Indian cuisine this is the spot.

Me and my kids loved the food there. Their chicken 65 was good and mild spice. The mango lassi was made correctly. It taste soo good. Their butter naans were soft and yummy Malai chicken was good too as my son love it.

I pulled up only to realize that this place was in the same spot as a former favorite of mine, Zauq! Now it belongs to Joy's. The interior has been nicely renovated and it's definitely a place you want to dine in but carry out is it course an option. While I waited for my friends I had a chance to talk to the gentleman in charge and he was very kind and seemed very passionate about the food and the business. It was nice to see. Now, on to the food but before I begin, I must let you know that I only took off one star because I want to try a plethora of things before making a 5 star decision. And I'd love for them to turn up the music on the tv a little. It'll add to the atmosphere and ambience of the place! We had samosas with mint and tamarind chutney, garlic naan, butter naan, mango lassi, chicken korma, chicken tikka masala, goat biryani served with raita and a gravy on the side. So here's the breakdown: Samosas: A bit on the smaller side but with a crisper outer wrap, good flavor and chutneys compliment them nicely. 2 per order. Garlic Naan: soft, well flavored Butter Naan: Delicious and soft but I 'd ask for one more slather of butter. Chicken Korma: My friend ordered this but I tasted it and since I never order Korma I have nothing to compare it to but it was very enjoyable. Chicken Tikka Masala: WONDERFUL! Yum! Goat Biryani: 4/5 the goat was tender, plenty of it, great portion and wonderfully delicious. Only wish it was spicier because even after asking for max spice it was pretty mellow (I have a very high spice tolerance) and so I'm hoping next time it can be kicked up a notch. But still I'll order again and hubby loved it. The raita tasted a little different than what I'm used to but I can't pinpoint exactly what it was but since the biryani wasn't spicy, I didn't really use it. The gravy on the side was unique to me and I didn't get a chance to ask what it was exactly but it still tasted good. Mango Lassi: creamy, sweet and the perfect drink for our meal. We even ordered two more to take home! I ordered some chicken tikka masala to go and my husband and daughter ate that with my leftover of goat biryani and this is what he said while eating it, "This is incredible! So good! This is better than _______________ (intentionally left blank out of consideration for said restaurant." My 11 year old daughter, "That was so good mom! I'm a fan. When can you take me there?" I highly suggest you go here to enjoy a nice meal with family, friends or even a date. The menu is very extensive, has lots of options and you'd be hard pressed to not find something everyone could enjoy. And for my veggie lovers, there are plenty of vegetarian options but show me the meat! I'm looking forward to going through many more menu options and I will be updating my review accordingly. I'll gladly support this family and small business as long as they keep putting out delicious food made with passion and love!! That is all!

Goat Biryani - yea I asked for low spice today

I would eat the goat biryani everyday if I could. The food is perfect every time! Always hot and delicious. The deserts are beautiful and are a yummy way to finish up my main meal. My favorite is the Black Forest cake. The folks there are always quick to serve and pick up service is a breeze. I choose Joy's over any other nearby Indian restaurant I've been to recently.

Lamb korma (top), shrimp butter masala (bottom)

Friendly staff. Food was great, they do not give you much meat but flavor is great! We've been a couple times now.

The food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. The Malabar parotta and mutton biryani (made with zeera samba rice) were a pleasant surprise. It came with raita and kurma- brought back fond memories of Tamil Nadu. The mango fish curry was finger-licking good, but the crab pepper masala was just okay. The person who brought out the food(I believe he was the chef) was very polite and professional. The bill came to around $90 including tip. Although I felt the food was slightly overpriced, the quality of the food, ambience, and service made it worth every penny. I'd definitely come back again, especially on a Sunday to try their live appam and paya.

Our drinks weren't given to us immediately, we had to go up and request them, and then were told to wait for the Rajwadi Lassi until it came out with the food (spoiler: it took over an hour and came at the end). The actual restaurant is fast food oriented and the seating is quite crowded, not the most fancy experience. But it's ridiculous that fast food takes that long to come out. We speculated that they serviced the big tables first, then got the stragglers last, and we could tell that we weren't the only ones unhappy. The Egg Bites were described as pan seared and packed with flavor, but came out just (over) boiled (as the yolks were beyond gray) and slapped with some sauce, but clearly lacked flavor. The Egg Curry came out next, and we waited on that for an additional 20 minutes, and that too lacked flavor. Bread came next, and then the server handed us "Garlic Naan," which actually Butter Naan and a whole miscommunication. After that the Lava Panner Pulav came and was the only thing worth the wait, as it had flavor and spice. We continued to wait for our last bread order (Garlic Naan), which only came out once we said something and was SO tough to eat. Around this time, the lady at the front taking orders decided to start going around and talking to the remaining customers left. She apologized and tried to be friendly to them, but never came by our table, which was the only table she didn't interact with. I believe she wrote us off thinking we were just "kids," as we only spoke to her in English and not Gujarati, and were kind of visibly annoyed at this time. Her and another guy (we presume he was the owner or manager) continued to stare at us until we cleaned up our table and left. I regret not saying something for fear of making a scene, and probably would've sent back some of the food if we weren't so hungry. We were there from 8 pm till 9:30/9:45 pm.

The menu and decor immediately signaled that this wasn't the Greek-style Mediterranean food I'd come to expect - no spinach pie, no feta in sight! But what I found instead was something far more special: a warm embrace of genuine hospitality that began the moment I walked through the door. The pride, knowledge, and sheer respect for their food and customers at Jasmine's are palpable. The restaurant itself is sparkling clean, adorned with beautiful, personal touches from the proprietor's home in Jordan, creating an inviting and authentic ambiance. My guide through this culinary journey was an amazing, personable hostess from the West Indies. With a simple "What do you enjoy?", she expertly navigated me through the menu, leading me to the most delicious meal. At $12.99, It was priced fairly and prepared perfectly. Every dish at Jasmine's is made fresh, and the short wait is absolutely worth it. Even though I live 45 minutes away, I'm already planning my next visit - and I'm bringing my sisters! I hope you will enjoy your food as much as I did. When food is cooked with such love and respect, it truly shines through. Jasmine's is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable Mediterranean dining experience.
