Falafel wrap with fries

Very casual and comfortable spot with amazing food! The falafel and shawarma wraps were lovely, but what I'm really crushing over are the piping hot seasoned fries with the side sauces. Their fresh fruit juices were a treat in lieu of dessert for this visit; but next time I'm looking forward to trying the baklava. I went on a slow evening and was met with friendly, warm service. Very excited to have this place as a new go to.

Chicken shawarma wrap with fries $8.99

Decided to try something new for lunch and had driven by a few times, so decided why not give Jasmine Grill a shot, and I must admit that this is one hidden gem you don't want to miss. Was greeted with a warm welcome by Nilo the moment I walked in, which unfortunately in today's day and age isn't a given, so this was a pleasant surprise and really speaks to the inviting family feel of the restaurant. Decided to do takeout and went with the chicken shawarma wrap with fries, which was a great value at only $8.99. The food was made to order, but still was ready in no time, and once again, Nilo expressed his appreciation and gratitude for my business, which again, may seem like a small touch, but in a world where restaurant employees give the impression with their poor service, that they don't care whether you frequent their place or not, Nilo's five star customer service was beyond refreshing and speaks to the commitment Jasmine Grill has to their customers. Last but not least, the food, and this is definitely an instance of saving the best for last. The food was nice and hot and had tremendous flavor, as even the fries had a nice seasoning which complimented the wrap perfectly. So, if you are looking for great tasting food at a solid value along with amazing customer service, then I highly suggest you give Nilo and the crew at Jasmine Grill a shot!

Tapoleh and Fattoush salads
Laura A.

Elaf greeted us when we walked in. The entire restaurant was full, but she was very polite and smiling, and took us to our table. Our food was fresh and hot. The vegetarian delight app is excellent. Falafel is homemade and so light and crispy! We had the chicken shawarma also 9/10. The fattoush salad is made with crispy pita bread and served with a tangy salad dressing. The lamb Shawarma wrap is cooked perfectly and served with seasoned fries, garlic dip, and hot sauce on the side. The star of the show was the house made (made to order) kanafe! It takes about 15 minutes to make so just go ahead and order it when you're halfway through your meal. It came out bubbling still hot from the oven! This is a family owned restaurant and they really care about the quality of their food. It was really busy when we went and they could've used a few more servers. I know they are actively looking to hire more people. Even being short staffed, they were attentive and kind . I hope they continue to be successful because the food is excellent. I am Turkish and my husband is Syrian... And we are pretty tough critics of Middle Eastern food.

Kofta Kebab

I ordered a to go order through DoorDash and it was very disappointing to say the least. Most middle-eastern restaurants will give you 2 skewers per 1 order of kofta. This was essentially 1 cut in half and it was burnt. For $18.99 this was a complete rip-off and I will not be back.

Upon arrival, we curated a playlist of our favorite tunes on the Jukebox, accompanied by orders of drinks and a Fried Calamari appetizer. Opting for variety, we chose the shrimp, snow-crab, and black mussel combo shaker bag along with a fried shrimp basket. Notably, one female patron was inspired to rise from her seat and dance briefly as our selected music played, creating a convivial atmosphere that likely enhanced the experience for all Mother's Day attendees. The cuisine was outstanding, and the boiled seafood shaker bags came with a selection of seasonings and spice levels, though I don't recall ours specifically. The seafood in the shaker bag was cooked to perfection, and the fried seafood was both tasty and crispy. If I were to offer a suggestion, the corn on the cob in the shaker bag might have benefited from slightly less cooking time. We emptied the bag, save for the juices, and even ordered hush puppies to enjoy with the remaining broth. Our server was exceptional, providing unhurried service, keeping our beverages replenished, and ensuring an overall memorable Mother's Day experience.

Being from California, we did not think our sushi standards could be topped, but this place completely proved us wrong. Some of our favorites were the salmon belly, the red snapper sampler, the yellowtail, and the slam on hand rolls. Everything was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. We also loved that they had Echigo beer, which is not easy to find and was a great addition to the meal. One thing that really stood out was how well balanced everything was. Nothing felt overwhelming or heavy, and every dish felt thoughtfully put together. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with any of the rolls here. I could not recommend this place more. An amazing experience from start to finish.

I'll start at the beginning ... My friend and I spent the week of New Years in North Carolina. If you wanna know why, ask. Just know it includes trolls. On the tail end of the trip, we were looking for dinner and tried to dine at Prime Fish - even driving out to the restaurant only to find it was closed (New Years Day). But we did make it out the next night. Without reservations even (reservations not taken) - without a wait and had what I felt was the best meal of the week. Seated at the bar, we got to see the chefs in action. They were busy all night but still managed to engage with the guests - many were regulars and like the chefs, uber friendly. Conversations with the guests was just a bonus that made the evening one that I won't soon forget. But back to Prime Fish ... Service was excellent. We were tended to on the likes that is deserving of the Michelin recognition. It's not just about the food. Our server was attentive, friendly, funny and genuinely took the time and energy to make sure we had a great time. Even left us with her favorite candy - see pic. Then there's the fish. The fresh sashimi and sushi. Started off with an Toro Imperial (fatty tuna, sea urchin, sturgeon caviar, sea salt and microgreens). If not for the price tag ($50), I would have ordered more. We both opted for a premium Sashimi Tasting ($27). Each. I wasn't going to share. Not being enough, I ordered a Sushi Tasting while she ordered a Salmon Tasting. See pics - of my orders but know they won't do the fish, or the restaurant and chefs any justice. I could use all the key words used to describe an excellent Sashimi/Sushi experience but words can't and won't come close. I've had Sashimi/Sushi all over the world. I've been in places that just ooze "expensive" and had a decent experience. What I really enjoyed is that walking in, the makeshift "outdoor" patio wouldn't make you think this is a Michelin "recognized" establishment. The strip mall location or even the single counter and few tables. Made me feel like it was just a simple restaurants with excellent food and service. Just like the Michelin Guide inspectors felt.

We were accused of stealing a bottle of liquor. She and another employee blocked the door and told us the police were on the way. We attempted to show her our purses and she refused to look. Which one of us? She refused. We waited for the police in order to vindicate ourselves. During this time, a male employee got in one of our faces, hands raised, yelling and aggressively using racial slurs. The manager defended HIM. Other employees then again accused us of stealing and said we are on camera. Once the police came, they said you can't tell who it is on camera. After we finished dinner, we went to the bar and ordered a drink. We sat and talked and then proceeded to leave. Who steals and then sits there and PAYS for more drinks? We each had a purse and a carry out bag with the rest of the main course. Imagine a small side salad sized container with a piece of overcooked steak they had the nerve to serve us. I really do love Super G Mart. I frequent both locations -- the one on Independence and the newer,…read morelarger store in Pineville -- and this one feels like a destination in itself, especially with the huge food court. As a transplant to Charlotte for work, I'm always searching for the ingredients and flavors I grew up with, and this place delivers. From the fresh seafood counter -- where you'll find beautiful tiger prawns -- to the endless rows of fish sauce, oyster sauce, and every variety of soy sauce imaginable (sweet, dark, mushroom, Japanese), the selection is impressive. The aisles are thoughtfully organized by cuisine and region, which makes navigating the store surprisingly easy, even if you're new to Asian markets. The frozen section alone is worth the trip. If you're looking for dumplings -- Chinese, Japanese, Korean, even Nepalese -- they've got you covered. And don't sleep on the handmade crepe cakes in the freezer. Yes, they're about $25, but they're stunning and absolutely delicious. Honestly, they rival the famous crepe cakes from Lady M in the San Francisco Bay Area, where those cakes can easily run over $100. At this price point, it feels like a steal -- and you'll definitely impress your guests. The produce section is another highlight. The ginger is incredibly fresh, and the variety is fantastic -- from gai lan and sweet chives to cebollitas (Mexican green onions) and crisp green beans. It's a true sensory experience for anyone who loves to cook. This isn't a trendy, boutique grocery store, and that's exactly the charm. It's old-school, practical, and stocked with the essentials. Toward the back right corner, you'll find pallets of noodles in every style -- Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean -- everything you could possibly need for home cooking. The butcher and fishmonger are also available to help, which adds a nice personal touch to the shopping experience. There's also a bakery inside with beautiful fruit-and-cream cakes -- the kind you'll recognize if you've ever celebrated in an Asian household. Light, fresh, and not overly sweet. And if you're a coffee lover, keep an eye out for Café du Monde coffee -- it's usually several dollars cheaper here than at typical grocery stores. A few friendly tips: * Go with a plan -- this place can be overwhelming in the best way. * Don't bring a big entourage unless they're ready to explore. * And if you visit the Pineville location, go hungry -- the food court alone is worth the trip. Both locations are fantastic, but the Pineville store is newer, larger, and especially fun to explore. Shop curious, cook boldly, and enjoy the adventure.

The bar tender took the drink dumped it in a blender with ice and served it right back to me. Not many of the ingredients were there. No grenadine no top or dark rum on top and definitely not enough rum to taste it was an alcoholic drink. Paid 10 bucks . Bummer. On to The dinner. We started with 2 cups of Clam chowder. We also ordered a CYO Ultimate Feast - with 5 dollar upcharge - to customize the way we wanted it - which was 2 of the Crab-legs along with Walt's Shrimp and Coconut Shrimp. Sides of brussel sprouts and coleslaw. The clam chowder soup was not good. It was awful . It was basically milk with celery and potatoes. There was no clams in it and did I mention it was watery milk like ? OMG . It was not the clam chowder that I was expecting. It wasn't good. I finally had to get up and go find the manager to complain about the milky watery soup as the waitress never came back to check on us. When the dinner was served she dropped it off and left. We had nothing to crack the crabs with and nothing to put shells in . I dumped the biscuit basket and used that. We also ordered an extra pound of crab-legs. So it was a mess . Finally got the waitress to bring a nut cracker that we used as the crab cracker to open the crabs with. No little fork or crab leg opener offered. No lemons. No hand wipes . No extra napkins. We finally got her to come back at the end of the meal when she realized she forgot the side dish that should have been delivered when the food arrived. So there we were sitting with sticky hands and a side dish after the meal was completed. Never did she offer to refill water. It was not a good experience. The waitress was not great. Never cleared our table or offered to refill water. Honestly it was just one series of bad things after another. Our first time back after almost a year waiting and this ... Lesson learned. We spent 100 bucks and trust me we won't Ever do that again. I don't recommend this place. The crab legs were good - but I could have made them myself at home for 40 bucks and gotten a much better deal with all the basic accessories anyone would need to eat them with. Napkins, lemons and crab cracker tools. Would I go back . Hard No.
