I request a confirmation email for the amount charged & when to expect my delivery. They come out pretty quickly, averaging about 2 business days. Other companies I've used would be over a week out due to my delivery area. Every associate has been helpful & friendly when I need anything. I communicate primarily through email for convenience. Something lets go, there's the sound of rushing water, and the whole downstairs fills up with steam. It was so thick I couldn't even see a foot in front of me in the basement as my plumber, Darren Powers, talked me through on the phone how to shut the furnace down, and which valve to turn to get the water to stop. Man! What a mess.... Darren was such a help to me. Though he had been up since early that morning working a job when I reached him at around 7:00 pm, he came over as soon as he could around 9:00 pm and worked on stabilizing things until about 10:30 pm so nothing else would happen. Because it was Saturday, he wasn't able to come back until Monday after gathering all the parts and equipment needed to fix the furnace and burst pipe line. I've known Darren for years, and he's helped me on many occasions. Each time, he came as soon as he could, did great work, and cleaned up the resulting mess after. I've trusted him numerous times to come in to do his work even when I wasn't home. And he's always been more than fair with not only his prices, but also his time. On August 15, 2026, I called Heritage Home Service to fix a leaky shower valve cartridge. Heritage…read morecame out to troubleshoot the problem, and the plumber tried to show me that it was not the shower valve cartridge. They told me that the basement leak was due to lack of caulking around the shower stall door trim and the show door bottom seal. Subsequently, the plumber caulked the door trim and joint between the shower pan and the floor. The shower was used later in the evening and the basement leak returned. It turned out that the shower valve cartridge was leaking only when the valve was open, not when it was closed. I rushed to Home Depot that evening before it closed to buy a Moen #1222 replacement cartridge at my own expense, and I replaced it myself that same evening. The next work day, I called Heritage to tell them that their work did not remedy the leak, and I texted them the sales receipt for the valve cartridge. I requested my money back for only the cartridge, or a replacement cartridge. It is now September 2, and after 3 phone calls, I haven't received a callback from the Heritage customer service representative. During the service call, I purchased the Home Advantage contract which speaks about 100% customer satisfaction. We are very senior citizens, and our treatment by Heritage has been shabby at best. I stop short of stating that Heritage business practices are predatory while awaiting any communication between Heritage and our household. I am sorry, but I cannot recommend Heritage Home services, or the Heritage Advantage contract.
