We went to JP Nori Sushi for my husband's birthday since he wanted to try a new spot, and we were so glad we did! The restaurant is brand new, very clean, and we were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in. The menu has so many specialty rolls that it was hard to choose because they all sounded amazing. We ended up ordering the spicy tuna roll, spicy scallop roll, shrimp tempura roll, the Yummy Roll, and the seared tuna roll. Every single one was delicious, but the Yummy Roll was my absolute favorite. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount of sushi you get, and the service was excellent. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit.

Food was good, we had the tuna tartar app and it was delicious, we also ordered three rolls which were good good but very sauce heavy. If we come back here I am going to ask to go light on the sauce, it was almost like you couldn't taste the rolls just the sauces. Service was great and the vibe was very chill and laid back. Overall good experience

Pretty good spot for sushi in Denver. Service was great - nice staff! They gave us complimentary edamame and tempura fried onion rings to start! Miso soup was yummy and the sushi boat was overall delish. Good prices too!

Yellowtail

I consider myself to be a sushi aficionado. Fresh is the key word here. OMG - what an unexpected delight! We debated going in actually because the neighborhood and front presentation was not up to our standards- but so glad we did!! The blue fin was enough to blow your mind in freshness, then the yellowtail with a slice of jalapeño arrived with a yazu sauce that was so good my husband drank what was left. Each roll was so perfect and delicious- plus the seafood dynamite was to die for if you are wanting something cooked! And where can you get actual wasabi that not from a powdered mix? Our waiter was a North Carolina delight and made the whole meal fun. Totally recommend- our new fav stop!

Has to stop by and check out the newest addition to the neighborhood! The food was delicious, especially the beef teriyaki and the spring roll. The service was very quick and server was super friendly. The decorations felt authentic and it was cozy. We will definitely be back!

We had dinner here last night and the food was delicious the decor is fun and the staff were very friendly. They are still waiting for their liquor license so no cocktails but everything else was good. We will Definitely go back.

I was there to do a photo shoot, but I was so impressed with the interior and the staff and of course the intricately prepared sushi rolls and sushi boats are exquisite!

Tried this place the other day and enjoyed it! Rainbow roll was good and plated nicely. My friend got the bento box lunch special and it was big! Our waiter was also super friendly and helpful. Pretty neat ambiance inside. Priced better than a lot of sushi places in Denver which is a plus!

Amazing sushi in a gorgeous, classical setting. Service was great, food was great, nothing to complain about except my stomach not being big enough to eat more.

Chicken katsu

This is such a great sushi restaurant to have within walking distance of our house! The lunch specials are a steal of a deal. The service is always polite and friendly. We love coming here!

Kept checking back with me and thanked me profusely when they delivered the good. Got home and the order was perfect. The quantity was huge, very flavorful. What a cute little place!!…read more It was late in the evening and I was getting hangry. I was craving ramen and Neko came up during my Yelp research. They were open late, so we decided to go. The restaurant was popping at 22:00 on a Friday. We were greeted warmly by staff. It was intriguing to us that we ordered via an iPad kiosk as if we were at a boba place, but we didn't mind. However, usually only to go orders are placed on a kiosk. In my hangry state of mind, I had not realized that Neko only serves their ramen with chicken broth, so for those of you who prefer tonkotsu broth, this isn't the place for you. For that reason, my husband had to order a chashu rice bowl instead. Personally, I enjoy both paitan and tonkotsu. I went with the black garlic ramen. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive. While we waited, we dispensed water for ourselves from the soda fountain. I was a little confused upon receiving my black garlic ramen, as I thought the black garlic oil would be more prominent. I was assured that I had the right bowl. My husband enjoyed his chashu rice bowl. I had a small bite and the pork was tender and well-seasoned. The paitan broth was very umami indeed. I would have liked to have more of a black garlic flavor, but it was still good. Next time I would just pay the extra $2 for more black garlic oil. The noodles were bouncy, and the chashu was tender. The egg was deliciously jammy (alas no photo because I devoured it). I saw they had soy sauce and hot sauce, but wish they had the classic chili powder so I could have added some to my ramen. Neko Ramen & Rice hit for late night noms, and the cat-themed decor all around (since Neko means cat in Japanese) was such a vibe. They also serve curry, poke, and various small bites if you want some apps to enjoy before your entrees. If you don't mind chicken broth for your ramen or will be ordering rice bowls instead, Neko is a fun little place to come dine at, especially since they open late.

We were seated right away and given plenty of time to take in the restaurant's history and look through the menu. Our food came out quickly, and the staff was always nearby if we needed anything. We started with the cucumber salad and shrimp shumai. The cucumber salad was refreshing, but the shrimp shumai had a strong fishy smell and taste that didn't seem very fresh--I couldn't eat more than one. For my entrée, I ordered the nabeyaki soup with ramen noodles and chicken, and it was excellent. The soy-based broth was rich and flavorful without being too salty, and the ramen noodles were cooked perfectly--tender with just the right amount of bite. Overall, Domo offers a really special atmosphere and a memorable dining experience. I wouldn't recommend the shrimp shumai, but I'd definitely come back to try another ramen flavor, and to see the cats again.

The vibe is fast and loud, but the servers are super efficient and communicative. I really liked the tokidoki roll and hamachikama. Hard to go wrong with those! The hamachi kama was HUGE. They give you the entier collar! I also liked the yaki ika which was very tasty, not rubbery at all. They have a lot of ramen on the menu which was a crowd pleaser for our group. Their edamame is also very spicy and quite good -- not your typical simply salted edamame. One thing I wouldn't order - the kimchi fried rice. One person in our party ordered it but it wasn't really fried rice, just kimchi and meat mixed with steamed white rice.

All tasted good, no complaints. Spicy tonkatsu ramen had rich broth, chatsu was grilled and plenty. Repeat

Considering the only other US location is in California, I was surprised and knew this would be my opportunity to try it! The aesthetic is modern & elevated with Japanese wooden features. I got 3 classic dishes which was just the right amount of food. I honestly recommend coming with a group to try more items since you know everything will be delicious. The Yellowtail Jalapeño is a signature dish; the yellowtail was delicate & buttery and the citrus soy with the bight of jalapeño made each bite clean, bright, with some subtle heat. I did not expect the Rock Shrimp Tempura to be that good! The shrimp was lightly battered & fried but the sauces were the highlights! Their creamy spicy is a very well-done spicy mayo but the butter ponzu was unreal! Super addictive, rich, and unlike any sauce I've had before. Shout out to my waitress for suggesting getting both sauces on the side rather than lathered on the shrimp, which also kept it crispy. Last but certainly not least is the famous Black Cod! The fish is super buttery and flaky; there were some caramelized edges from the miso glaze which added so much depth & richness to the bite. It's a good balance of sweetness, savoriness, umami that is bound to be good. All in all, so grateful I got to try what many call an institution and will certainly try more of chef Nobu's restaurants.

Some of courses were delicious and some were mediocre. We spent almost $700 for a party of four. The situation that needs the most improvement was the pace of the meal. The courses were separated by a 20-30-minute wait time. Considering that the courses were very small and contained 5-6 pieces for a party of four... that equates to a little more than a small bite every 20-30 minutes. The dinner took 2.5 hours to develop, and we were honestly still hungry by the end. The waiter started asking us if were "still hungry" at about the fifth courses. By the end, we felt awkward in asking for more. The wagyu beef was particularly disappointing as the beef was somewhat chewy, lacking taste and small. Waiters seemed to be near their capacity of workload. Didn't really take the time to serve, walk you thru the menus, keep the service moving or even gauge your level of satisfaction. We ordered dessert to celebrate the birthday. Apart from a small chocolate plaque on the dessert that said, "happy birthday", there was no attempt to celebrate the occasion as other less exclusive restaurants do... no "happy birthday" wish, no courtesy dessert... nothing special. The best part of this meal was by far, the young couple that accompanied us. Friendly advice: if you want to impress a client with something the feels exclusive... this may be the place. If you are looking for amazing food, being pampered and feeling your money was "well spent", try another place. I don't plan to visit this restaurant soon.

I just came for a snack and boy did they deliver. I got the miso soup and you can meet really good wrong with that so let's leave it at that. I have been craving a seaweed salad and it was so refreshing. It came with some fresh cucumber and fresh tomato on top. I don't really f**k with either of those veggies but they're so pretty so they really enhanced my experience. Now on to the main snack. I got the spicy tuna crunch roll. The tuna was delicately cut, I could feel the chefs blade upon my tongue. I asked if there was anyway to make it spicier and my server graciously offered me some chili oil crunch and she was amazed by how much lava I was willing to pour into my digestive system. The sweetness from sake, umami from the miso, salty sea from the seaweed and spicy from the sushi created a paradoxical cacophony of bliss in this young boys heart.
