He is very responsive and transparent about pricing, and he was also very generous with his time. The following day, a tall young man named David came out to perform the work. I never write reviews, but David did such a great job that I felt compelled to write one. First, David replaced three very old, outdated valves. What I appreciated most was that he took the time to explain what he was doing and how the valves and solenoids work together with the controller as a system. As someone who knows very little about sprinkler systems, I really appreciated the clear explanation. Second, he installed four new sprinklers, one of which was a challenge because of the concrete surrounding the PVC piping. In addition, he replaced eight heads, six risers, and capped one sprinkler. He adjusted every single head across four stations and zones, walked me through each zone, made careful micro-adjustments, and explained how everything worked. Lastly, he left my backyard spotless and looking as good as new. I would not hesitate to work with Mark and David at First Class Irrigation again. Speaking of which, I am thinking of having them convert my sprinkler system into a low-maintenance drip irrigation system with a Rachio controller in the near future. Highly recommended!

Yves responded after 7 pm to my initial contact and got in contact with me the following morning as agreed. He gave regular updates about his arrival window and got to work within 10 minutes of arrival after giving me clear info about what needed to be done. He completed the valve-replacement work on a 25-year-old system fairly quickly and showed me how to maintain the valves by cleaning the filter and clearing the lines. Good money for good work. My yard and I thank you!

I rarely write reviews, but Stephen at Tried & True Irrigation absolutely earned this one…read more I originally called because one irrigation zone had stopped working. After trying to troubleshoot it myself (and making things considerably more confusing!), Stephen came out for a diagnostic and quickly sorted through years of previous repairs and workarounds. He discovered that one controller output had failed, a previous contractor had combined two zones as a temporary fix, one of the drip valves had failed, and the original valve wiring needed to be remapped correctly. Rather than simply replacing a single part and leaving me with an aging system, he took the time to explain my options without any pressure. I decided to replace the controller, all five valves, solenoids, and wiring so the entire irrigation system would essentially be brand new. The workmanship is outstanding. The wiring is clean and organized, every valve is labeled, the controller is programmed and clearly documented, and everything now works exactly as it should. What impressed me most was Stephen's professionalism, honesty, and communication. He patiently answered all of my questions, explained what he was finding, and made sure I understood why each recommendation was being made. It's obvious he takes pride in doing the job right rather than just getting the job done. If you're looking for someone who is knowledgeable, trustworthy, and meticulous, I highly recommend Stephen and Tried and True Irrigation. This was one of the best home service experiences I've had, and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

He came out quickly and spent time thoroughly looking over our yard, our existing drainage system, and listening to our concerns. He came up with a plan to address the issues without having to tear out our landscaping. He sent us a quote by the next day and quickly responded to our many follow-up questions. He's clearly very knowledgeable about drainage and passionate about it! The crew did an awesome job and worked SO hard. They arrived on time every day and even worked through the weekend to make up for some lost work time due to rain. Despite having to dig up big chunks of our yard and temporarily move plants, they put everything back together perfectly. We really appreciate that they use high quality materials that will do the job better and last longer than materials purchased off the shelf at a big box hardware store. Can't recommend Older Home Specialists enough, they do incredible work for a very fair price. We'll definitely call them again if we need any other work done as they also do irrigation!

I honestly can't say enough good things about Brent and his crew, but I'll try. I reached out to…read morehim after realizing I needed a drainage pro who really understood my concerns and the products I wanted to use. After buying our house earlier this year, I went down the YouTube rabbit hole of drainage videos--mostly because our foundation issues came from decades of poor drainage. Finding a local company willing to do the work was surprisingly hard, and when I finally did, they installed something that just wasn't built to last. I rushed that decision, and sure enough, it didn't feel right. Sometimes you just have to fix it before it becomes a bigger headache. Luckily, the trenches were still open and no landscaping was done yet, so I decided to redo everything correctly. I wanted to use the high-quality French Drain Man materials--patented, made from new materials (not recycled), and engineered to last. The challenge was finding someone who knew how to install them properly. That's when I found Brent. Turns out he's the west-coast installer who actually uses those same products--and he's just as passionate about proper drainage as the French Drain Man himself. Brent even has a YouTube channel and Instagram where he shares his projects and tips, which shows how much he cares about doing things right. From the start, Brent was responsive, professional, and easy to talk to. He called me back the same day (which never happens anymore!) and worked with me to create a plan that made sense for my property and budget. He even suggested ways I could do some prep work myself to save on the install. When Brent and his crew arrived, I immediately knew I was in good hands. They were organized, efficient, and clearly took pride in their work. A few neighbors stopped by while they were working and were amazed at the quality of the system. One neighbor thought I was crazy for replacing the old setup--but that same neighbor's garage has flooded twice. I told him my goal is to not flood even once! A few weeks later we had a huge downpour, and for the first time our crawl space stayed completely dry. That was all the confirmation I needed that we made the right choice. Brent mentioned that most of his projects are re-do's of failed systems installed by others--and after this experience, I totally get it. Too many people do quick fixes instead of building proper, long-term solutions. I couldn't be happier with the results or the overall experience. Brent and his crew are top-notch, and I feel genuinely blessed to have one of their systems installed at our home. (We are part of an exclusive club now! Lol) In all seriousness though, if you want your drainage done right the first time and want to work an outstanding guy that is not only knowledgeable but legitimately passionate about drainage then you need to call Brent.

We set up a time to meet and get an estimate for a complete restoration of my lawn sprinkler system and new drip lines for the plants & trees around the perimeter of the property. Fernando and his assistant showed up with a big truck and trailer full of parts and supplies, then immediately jumped into the project and had everything trenched and ready for the new installation by the end of the day. The next day was full speed ahead once again laying in all of the new piping, sprinkler heads, valves and automatic timer mechanism. The entire job was fully completed to my absolute satisfaction at the end of that second day. This installation was pure professionalism & care. I would highly recommend FM Irrigation for any project youhave.

Originally I was quite happy and I liked that he offered free sprinkler adjustments for 1 year. 6 months later in February, I noticed one narrow section of my lawn was short, brown and sparse, while the other half was tall, green and lush. I suspected the sprinklers needed to be adjusted, so Fernando came out and adjusted them. In August 2025, the area became worse, despite being watered for the same duration. I hesitated to call, since the 1 year adjustment period was up, but now I was busy. I was digging out a portion of my back lawn and planting new seed. In the midst of this project, I found the source of my multiple water leaks. The 6 areas where FM Irrigation added a new sprinkler head with new plastic tubing or screwed the sprinkler into the existing PVC, were quite loose and DID NOT have Teflon tape! I contacted Fernando in September 2025 and he confirmed he does not use Teflon tape, but could not come out for another 1.5 months. In October 2025, I contacted him again and he said the manufacturer does not require Teflon tape and said the leaks could not affect water pressure". I totally disagree! It's a fact, Rotary MP sprinklers are low pressure, which allow your lawn to be watered at a gradual pace, but you do need to run them longer than spray sprinklers. My gripe is, I feel Fernando at FM Irrigation does poor workmanship. Of the 11 areas he touched, the connectors were quite loose, no Teflon tape, which caused water to leak and affected the water pressure, no wonder he could not adjust my sprinklers correctly to prevent areas from turning brown! As a woman that cares about her new lawn, I knew I could do better, so I fixed the 11 areas myself and adjusted the sprinklers correctly.
