He was friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. I told him about my issues and the reasons why I was there, and he helped me understand the benefits of acupuncture and how it could help me in the long run. The session was incredibly relaxing. I was able to surrender all my stress and anxiety as I allowed the energy to flow through me. It was an incredible experience to just let your body chill out and go with the flow. I had ended up as a Covid Long Hauler and one of the lingering symptoms of Covid Long Haul is insomnia and without a solid night's sleep comes constant fatigue & exhaustion. I tried prescriptions, supplements, meditation, & even hypnosis just to name a few strategies that I tried to get some sleep at night, but without success until I saw Dr Wilson at Salem Chiropractic. It's a catch 22 situation without a good solid night's sleep it's difficult to get well. I had explained to Dr Wilson that not only was I sleep deprived, but I experienced a lot of pain in my neck, upper shoulders and I also had a tension that traveled from the base of my skull across the top of my head, over the forehead and into my nasal cavity. So I told Dr Wilson that even if I started to drift off to sleep, I would frequently wake up because of the pain in my neck, shoulders and skull. Dr Wilson took X-rays of my neck as I had told him that I had sustained a serious neck injury at 10years old and with that I wondered if this old injury might be contributing to the pain and insomnia. The results of the Xray showed that my neck was riddled with arthritis due to the neck injury I had from childhood. Dr Wilson explained that this was the cause of the stiffness, pain and lack of mobility in my neck which obviously was contributing to the insomnia. Im grateful to say that after my very first treatment with Dr Wilson at Salem Chiropractic, I finally felt relief from the pain in my neck. And vies a vie, I finally got a good night's sleep. Can we say Alleluia? YES, we can! It's been Two+ years trying to recover as a Covid Long Hauler. Now that I am finally getting some sleep at night, I fully trust that I will be able to live a happy, healthy, pain free life. Here are some interesting things I remember from my visit: 1. I have figure eight energies. This is apparently bad. Dr. Larsen waved his hands over me to fix this 2. Healing me involves pushing my arms and legs down while touching various points on my body. If he can push my leg down, then my body is out of whack. But after he touched a couple of places, he supposedly couldn't push my legs down anymore. Looked more like he was faking trying to push my limbs down. Like a wrestler. 3. He couldn't push my arm down, so he brought out a bag of pills which he said were "poison" and put them on me. Because the pills were poison, even on the outside of my body, he could push my arm down. He did the same by asking me to say 1+1= 2 and 1+1= 3. Because I was telling a lie, he could push my arm down... 4. He put his fingers in my mouth... I wouldn't go there unless you believe in all sorts of alternative medicine

I never heard of a chiropractor who doesn't believe in cracking. It's a bit of false advertising because THAT'S WHAT CHIROPRACTORS DO. If you're cool with this, then go ahead and see him. 2. He kept telling me I had sciatic pain and he did a lot of stuff to fix that area of my body but I never have had sciatic pain. Hmm. 3. I went in there for neck and shoulder pain, which he did not address. He said it was all connected to the lower back. This may have some truth to it but my neck DID NOT get better AT ALL from the treatment he gave me. And he told me I was "fixed". 4. He does is a lot of energy work. Apparently, my energies were "reversed" and he set my energies all straight. This involved things like holding my arm out and he would press it down. 5. The table was all ripped up. If the treatment had been effective, I wouldn't even mention this but it definitely added to the negative experience.

I was always looking for ways to recover as an amateur competitor in CrossFit and that just causes the need to treat your body as good as you can so you can keep training and pushing. Now, with that out of the way let's get into my experience with Eric. This unicorn is well-versed in MANY different practices, but will tailor the services to your level of need and want in focus areas and pressure to be applied. I will say that my experience was not super relaxing, but that was what I wanted. We did active release, stretching, and deep tissue massage. These are NOT relaxing services to request, but what I wanted/needed at the time of my appointment. Not only did he meet all of these requests with fervor, but showed me a few other tricks I had not experienced personally. The one that sticks out in my mind is his attention to my head/neck/jaw after I told him of my cancer diagnosis. He did a full assessment of my body and decided to focus first on my head/neck/jaw with cold stone therapy and actually getting IN my mouth to release the tension in my jaw. Not something I would have thought of, but once he was done the difference was palpable and I was beyond thankful he spent this kind of attention on a place that instantly melted the tension and clenching away. I can't say enough good things about my experience from scheduling to paying (they even have the providers' Venmo displayed for tipping!!!). They put the stuff on my face and left the room for loooong time. Then didn't extract my pores, saying they were too small, whereas my current place said they had not issues doing extractions. The facialist knew it was my first facial then and I feel she took advantage of the fact. Afterwards, she charged my card and turns out I couldn't leave a tip after she charged it. At the time I wanted to tip, but she said it was fine, which I should have taken as a hint that she didn't perform the service she was suppose to do anyways!
