Great little taco joint. Atmosphere is nothing special but it's a great place to grab some a quick bite to eat.

My wife got the steak quesadillas, which were lovely, and I got the steak and shrimp (combo not on the menu) burritos, wet split with the red and green sauce It was very good. The service was very good, they were attentive, but not too attentive. Really nice place, that they did a great job designing.

From the second you walk in, it's like you're in Mexico... but in NJ... it shouldn't make sense, but it does. The dining chairs are all handcrafted in Mexico and imported. They're gorgeous. The staff is friendly and greets you right when you walk in. Once seated, you get chips & salsa - 100% homemade and super delicious. We also got 2 Modelos, because when in Rome-xico? For lunch, we decided to share.... - Fresh Guacamole: Incredibly fresh doesn't even begin to describe the intense flavor and brightness of this guacamole. It has the perfect balance of avocado, jalapeño, onion, tomato, cilantro, and lime. - Molcajete: The CROWN freaking JEWEL of this place. Served in a pig-shaped Molcajete (traditional mortar and pestle carved from volcanic rock)... you get skirt steak, chicken, pork chop, mexican sausage, & grilled shrimp... with queso fundido, bell peppers, cactus & jalapeño. On the side, you get rice, beans & tortillas. Yes -- you get all the food. I HIGHLY encourage you to share it - it's that much. BUT... it's SO. FREAKING. GOOD. It was the never-ending meat bowl but it was insanely delectable. You just have to trust me. Try it. You're welcome.

Everyone was welcoming, and the lakeside dining made for a beautiful atmosphere. The food was just okay. I had the chicken tacos, but they were pretty bland and could have used more seasoning, especially the black beans. The highlight for me was definitely the line dancing! My girlfriends and I had such a blast. I'd come back for the atmosphere and dancing!

The energy is upbeat without feeling over the top, and the lake views are seriously hard to beat--grab a patio seat if you can. It's the kind of place where you could easily lose track of time over a couple of drinks while watching the water. Speaking of drinks, the cocktails definitely don't skimp on the pour. Balanced, flavorful, and with enough kick to justify ordering another. The food was solid across the board, and the portions were surprisingly generous. The only miss for me was the chicharrón, which came out a bit drier than I would've liked. It wasn't enough to take away from the overall experience, though. Between the lively vibe, strong cocktails, generous portions, and those gorgeous waterfront views, Lola's is an easy choice for happy hour or a casual dinner. I'd happily come back to work my way through more of the cocktail menu.

This place hit the mark perfectly. I ordered the Chicken Mole Tacos, and they were outstanding. The mole sauce was rich and flavorful, and the chicken was tender and juicy. The tacos came with a side of rice and beans, both cooked to perfection. My boyfriend tried the Chicken Flautas, which were just as delicious. The salsa verde on top really brought all the flavors together in the best way. We also had Arnold Palmer drinks, which were refreshing and well-balanced. To top it all off, we shared their flan--easily one of the best I've had at any Mexican restaurant. This place is definitely a hidden gem, and I'll be coming back regularly!

And now to the negatives: Last time I ordered 4 street corn and the total came to $27!!!! $6 per cob of corn and some seasoning seems extra expensive to me for Pine Island. Probably cost them 75¢ each to make. I have left there before feeling like their prices are almost double what they should be. Place was empty on a Saturday at lunch. I definitely will not be going back. So many better Mexican restaurants around Middletown Warwick area that you won't leave feeling ripped off!
