Great little taco joint. Atmosphere is nothing special but it's a great place to grab some a quick bite to eat.

From the second you walk in, it's like you're in Mexico... but in NJ... it shouldn't make sense, but it does. The dining chairs are all handcrafted in Mexico and imported. They're gorgeous. The staff is friendly and greets you right when you walk in. Once seated, you get chips & salsa - 100% homemade and super delicious. We also got 2 Modelos, because when in Rome-xico? For lunch, we decided to share.... - Fresh Guacamole: Incredibly fresh doesn't even begin to describe the intense flavor and brightness of this guacamole. It has the perfect balance of avocado, jalapeño, onion, tomato, cilantro, and lime. - Molcajete: The CROWN freaking JEWEL of this place. Served in a pig-shaped Molcajete (traditional mortar and pestle carved from volcanic rock)... you get skirt steak, chicken, pork chop, mexican sausage, & grilled shrimp... with queso fundido, bell peppers, cactus & jalapeño. On the side, you get rice, beans & tortillas. Yes -- you get all the food. I HIGHLY encourage you to share it - it's that much. BUT... it's SO. FREAKING. GOOD. It was the never-ending meat bowl but it was insanely delectable. You just have to trust me. Try it. You're welcome.

My wife got the steak quesadillas, which were lovely, and I got the steak and shrimp (combo not on the menu) burritos, wet split with the red and green sauce It was very good. The service was very good, they were attentive, but not too attentive. Really nice place, that they did a great job designing.

I called and spoke to the owner Sergio who stated "so what, you got your money back. So what? That is petit larceny in the state of NY. It is also forgery and unlawful use of a credit card. The restaurant can be held civilly responsible and the employee charged criminally. We have been going there for years. The owner's dismissal of the situation is highly disturbing. They lost our business. It was not an accident. It was physically added to their copy of the receipt which does not match ours. Shame on you! Your lack of concern over criminal activity by your staff speaks volumes of the type of person you are. Now you ticked me off and I'm going to press charges on Monday. See you in court. All you had to do was own it and deal with the employee instead Sergio you sound complicit by yelling at me and stating "it was fixed what's the big deal" the big deal is it is illegal and the wrong thing to do. You have now forced my hand. You will be held responsible! Trust me

10/10 recommend From…read morethe views - to the hospitality, our experience at Lola's was fab! Came here because we're in the area. They have a large but awkward parking lot so valet is required - no charge, just of course to tip. We arrived on a Sunday around noon and IT WAS BUSY. The host was trying to seat guests and their two phones were ringing off the hook, but they did a good job managing the physical guests waiting And the calls. When we arrived, they ran out of outdoor seating but accommodated my husband and I at a four top table on the outside deck and even brought over an umbrella without us needing to ask. We ordered drinks, the empanaditas and the guac and chicharron. Everything was super delicious! We will definitely be back! Thank you, Lola's, for a wonderful experience - lunch with a STUNNING view!

So we reminded them, waited another half hour, and only 2 dishes were brought. Of the dishes that arrived, the food was mostly just ordinary tex-mex mess. Some steak dishes had tiny minced pieces of steak that seemed...old....and some had large fresh juicy pieces. It's awkward to be sitting next to someone, and you both have steak fajitas, and theirs is terrible. Margarita tower drink was way too sweet - bad proportions, way too much orange liquer, made them taste like hurricanes or fruit punch. Really a garbage experience, all around.
