We stopped by for dinner a few days ago. Couldn't find the place as Google was confused with Lake side ave n lakeside rd. But we eventually found restaurant. Was a rainy day. Am sure it must be nice in the summer as it's on the lake. Nice restaurant friendly staff. Valet parking. Driveway is v steep. We had the Cesar salad n queso fundido de birria. Cesar salad was v tasty n a big portion for 2 to share. Loved the queso fundido de birria. Tasted really good. Had the king pargo Frito which was fried red snapper n was so delicious n crispy. We were pretty disappointed overall. The chicken in the enchiladas burrito was chopped up in cubes and not flavorful. Birria tacos were just ok. The coconut mojito tasted somewhat bitter, not what I was expecting. The classic margarita was probably the best thing we had. This place has beautiful decorations both inside and out and indoor/outdoor seating as well as two floors. Staff was friendly for the most part minus a woman who was helping people park and yelling at people. We had reservations and were seated after a bit of a wait. Ordered a classic margarita and a strawberry margarita which didn't taste like there was much alcohol in it at all. Also my boyfriend's margarita glass came like an inch below the top of the glass which was strange but we didn't want to complain. They bring chips and salsa for the table. chips were pretty tasteless and needed salt. The salsa was good. We ordered the nachos with beef for an appetizer. Waiter got the order wrong and brought us nachos with steak. Again we didn't complain and just ate it and paid the extra. Nachos were okay but nothing to write home about and the plate was not full. Finally we ordered the steak fajitas and the chicken fajitas. Again they were just okay. We ordered 2 chicken fingers and fries for the kids as well which were good. We skipped dessert although it looked delicious. The bill was about $172. Overall wouldn't come back. You overpay for bland, okay food because of the location. This place was so good. My friends and I did a lake day and decided to try out Lola's. I have been eyeing this location for a while and glad I visited. I didn't make any reservations and they were very accommodating to my party of 4. The views of the lake were breathtaking and the service was great! This is a pretty happenin' place, with great lakefront views and a festive atmosphere. We came on a warm Saturday night around 6:15pm and unsurprisingly, it was busy - we were told that it would probably be a 20-30 min wait for an outdoor table but they seated us within 10 minutes. There are two floors with outside seating on both levels. There was a DJ spinning music on a boardwalk of the marina - the music was very loud so if you're trying to have a conversation I would recommend sitting indoors. But if you're into a clubby atmosphere and don't mind splitting your eardrums, then party hearty! The food is OK and unmemorable, and looked better than it tasted. Service was lovely however. It's a nice spot for a drink, if you just want to groove and hang, with some bites and breezy views. Parking was really tight so it was valet only. It's a really cute place right in the lake. They make the experience super convenient starting from vallet parking your car or your boat! Sit outside n enjoy the most remarkable views. Most of the food is good, the servers are nice, the beers are cold and they are really friendly and accommodating to large groups and families. We actually went twice in 1 week. Wanted to grab a quick drink with water views and Lola's was the first place that came to mind. Located right on the water, you're able to valet park your car or pull up to the dock on your boat. The place was packed but we were seated immediately outside and had the best view of the lake. Our server was friendly and quick with our margarita order. I tried the passion fruit and my date had the mango, while on the sweet side, it was tasty and had a kick! Marvelous place from the get go. There's friendly valet parking when you go down the very steep roller coaster hill to the dock. The restaurant has outside + inside dining with beautiful views of the steel blue lake which was rippling in anticipation of a thunderstorm. The waitstaff is genuinely friendly. She had to have another person ask me again what I wanted. Not her fault she was put in that position. Drink is so so. Food came. So greasy! I asked for utensils. None at the bar. They had to ask someone to bring some from the back I've been living on the lake over a year. First and last time coming here. A splinter from top of bar fell in my drink. Place is a dive. And it's 93 degrees out so if you are looking for a view with some AC forget it. Open air. This place is gorgeous! I found this place via instagram and it instantly became my favorite summer spots. Bit of a drive but if you are in the mood you'll be in for a treat. The drinks are amazing, food is delicious and service is on point. If you're lucky to find an outdoor table at the upper deck - than that will make your day. On sunday's they have a Mariacho band, which are pretty good. One of the best mexican place I have been and not to pricey for the location. My family came here for a group lunch on a Wednesday afternoon in late June. We were a large group of 9 adults, 3 kids, so we made reservations. when we were running late we called them and they told us it was no problem- whew! The portions are huge so make sure you order things to share family style. We enjoyed the fajita platters, appetizers, and entrées- especially the grilled meats and cheese in a large cauldron. Lola's never disappoints! Their staff are all so pleasant, their food and drinks are always on point from the appetizers to the main course! Weather permitting you can select indoor or outdoor seating. Outdoor is always fun because you can see the action on the lake. I've even seen people park with their kayaks! Been coming here for years and they changed their menu this season. Prices on items went up, margaritas even more expensive and they don't use margaritas glasses anymore. Now on some dishes you have to pay extra for rice and for beans when it used to come included with the meal.. the fajitas meat was not that flavorful. Returned after a positive first visit but not sure I'll go back again. On their website, it says they offer happy hour Monday to Friday 12-6pm with drink including beer and food specials. However when I arrived on a Wednesday around 4:30pm, I was told the food specials ended at 4pm and only drinks were on happy hour until 6pm, but not beer as mentioned online were available at the happy hour price. Highly disappointed that they offered false advertising on their website that they would not honor. Overall food was tasty but don't think it's worth their high prices even with the lake view and it was extremely busy with a crowded parking lot and lacking service once it gets busy. read more

I really don't understand what all the hype is about. Everything about this place is mediocre at best. The only thing that deserves 5 stars is the view of the lake. I guess if you are going for ambiance that's fine but prepare to be disappointed. We were sat right away. Great table location. Ordered a classic margarita and it came with some weird salt that tasted like hot sauce. I wish i would have known this because I couldn't even drink it, server never asked if it was okay even though it sat there for the duration of my meal untouched. Food was horrible. I ordered tacos and they were lukewarm when they arrived. And lukewarm is generous, they were one step above being cold. Service was deplorable. The server took extremely long to do everything. I had to wait 20 minutes for sour cream and by the time I got it food was well passed lukewarm. Tables were filthy underneath with food spread all over which then brought birds. I've had better mexican at several other locations in Morris county leaving this establishment a lot to be desired. Lola's was great. First time there, they have valet parking which was awesome. The wait was 45 mins. But we were seat on 20 on the second floor facing the water. We were super excited. We ordered our drinks and food. We enjoyed the ambiance and watched the boats and jet ski go by. I can only describe it as a place we walk in and your whole demeanor switches to vacay mode instantly.
